The impacts of overpopulation in India are already horrifying

The minimum wage here have not increased in the last 10 years, the wages for educated workers are rapidly decreasing, wages for good positions like project manager with 5 years of experience are rapidly decreasing, the working hours are on the other hand rapidly increasing, companies are making people work more and more unpaid overtime.

Of course inflation is high the value of the currency has halved in the last 10 years and yet wages are going down like from 35000 to 25000.

People talk about AAA games constantly in the west but in India they have been overpriced for decades

I remember playing games in the when they were 2D, I played games on the PS2, these games used to be cheap less than 500 rupees.

Then the PS3 era came along it itself was very expensive and the games on it were 2000 to 3000 rupees.

Now GTA 6 is what 7000 rupees, it is simply unaffordable for the middle class.

Soo is the experience of you guys the same, did you partake in PS3,4,5 era, are you going to buy GTA 6.

People have no idea how horrifying will the combination of mass unemployment plus running out of resources will be

Just imagine that there is a massive famine going on alongside with massive unemployment, depletion of non renewable resources, climate change, ecological collapse and much more.

So what do you think will happen to those who are unemployed in this scenario, what will happen to them, won't they just be abandoned to starve to death in the middle of the road? What will do then? Won't there be a horrifying civil war in this scenario? I don't think that old people will be cared for well in this scenario anyway.

Now consider the scenario where TFR has been below 1 for a while, there won't be such an unemployment crisis then, also the resource scarcity will be less. Old people will also be cared for better in this scenario too as they will have more food and political stability.

People who are scared of some "economic crisis" due to lower birth rates are not aware of the unemployment crisis that will occur in the future

AI, automation, robotics, general increase in productivity, death of small businessses by the hands of large companies that have more economics of scale and hence require lesser labor will significantly reduce labor demand by quite a lot.

Unemployment crisis is a literally a hundred times worse than any labor shortage, in fact peoples wages may even go up during labor shortage.

Hence it is mandatory to lower births as much as possible without any fear of labor shortage

Computer parts shortage began before the AI bubble

Do you remember the chips shortage that began in 2021 long before LLMs became popular.

It was because demand was too high even before AI and now the demand is even higher, even if the AI bubble bursts the prices won't go down too much.

Well I just hope my laptop lasts for a few more years.

Do you guys think they will increase production to meet the demand or they will just profit off higher prices.

You guys should look into artificial womb tech it is more in line with what you want to do

Some of you certainely only want babies pumped out of women's bodies and just want to use them as incubators, Soo why not just use actual incubators instead.

Seriously some guys here things like women should be enslaved, forcefully made pregnant, have their rights stripped from them. Also I've seen comments like just send off the children to boarding school after they are born so mothers can have free time, even that it doesnt matter if someone regrets having children as they "did their part"(r/regretfulparents).

I mean if you just want to use incubators and wombs and dont even care about family values or anything then just use artificial wombs why make women the victims in all this?

Capitalism is actually the most inefficient system there is

There are a large number of competitors offering the same products and service mostly without any meaningful differences or unique selling points, for example if you search "microwave" on Amazon it will show a 100 different results.

What is the point of this? The large company that produces microwaves can cover the entire demand of the whole planet alone, all the endless competitors that exist are just a waste of labor even if they go away people will easily be able to get all the microwaves they need from just one company.

If you visit a market area you will see soo many retailers offering the same product, soo many shops adjacent to each other competing with each other when just one would be enough for an area.

Small competitors do not have sufficient economics of scale hence they just waste labor, the larger companies can easily absorb their demand and won't even have to hire too many people for it.

If you think about it capitalism is very inefficient because it has needless duplicate suppliers

Many people who have high standards just wish to stay single

Being single is very relaxing, being in relationships does require a lot of work and constant effort, some people just like the freedom and free time of being single.

Of course people especially women can't just say it out loud and hence are forced to make excuses, it quite sad that people sometimes have to make bad excuses to justify staying single.

Some people struggle to understand this and think people standards are unrealistic

Are 1 bit quantized models feasible, if they are it will be amazing

Search bitnet, 1.58 bit models or such stuff on YouTube

1 bit LLM's seem to be great if they can work it will easily disrupt the whole industry and might as well make self hosting the only reasonable choice

Soo what do you guys think

I just saw that robots are getting great now too, this along with AI like fable 5. Just HOW do people still say that there will be a "labor shortage" if people do not have kids

I seriously do not understand just what figure would some people have to see to be able to understand that there will never be a labor shortage. Even robots are getting great at a lot of work and will be ready in 5 years, just like AI is itself capable of doing most of the work now and once local self hosted models become popular it will be dirt cheap too.

People say that there if there arent enough people paying into social security it will collapse, well UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE DO NOT PAY INTO SOCIAL SECURITY AND INCREASING THE NUMBER OF UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN YOUR COUNTRY WILL ONLY CAUSE MORE PAIN AND NEVER SOLVE A SINGLE PROBLEM EVER, UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO BUY PRODUCTS, I just wanna know how can people understand this, is there any possible combination of words or figures that can get this through the skull of people.

I know people can be irrational but still just seeing what AI can do now and how good robots are and just how much automation is happening one would think even for a moment that maybe having fewer children will help out against the coming unemployment and balance out things a bit.

This of course can be combined with the fact that non renewable resources are dwindling and there is no replacement for them thus further promoting the idea of a population reduction being neccessary.

But atlast people's irrationality knows no limit I guess

At this point even saying that the rich will need labor is wrong

Being attractive barely offers you any advantages

People think that attractive people have it all, well I am quite a attractive guy, women stare at me a lot but I do not get any advantages

Other men do not give me any advantages whatsoever at all

Now women smile at me more, are more comfortable around, respond to my compliments well but this is where the advantages end

Hookup culture is quite a myth, women will only go for a guy if she wants to be her girlfriend, casual sex/one night stand just for looks/fun is really a myth mostly

Women mostly really want a rich guy, money is many times greater priority than looks women have no interest at all in guys who are good looking but lack money

Also while looks are a positive factory it is only one of variables women consider soo yeah if you are lacking in other aspects there is no advantage at all

Isn't Microsoft windows itself the biggest cybersecurity threat

If the US government orders Microsoft(in a world war 3 like situation) it can do anything it wants with most computers across the world

It has got complete level 3 access, it does not even need to exploit any vulnerabilities it can openly do whatever it likes

It can lock people out of their own computers, it can steal all data in the world, it can destroy computers by overheating them

If you think about it windows is a cybersecurity nightmare and the biggest threat ever for countries other than US especially Iran and China

Given how complicated the supply chain for microschips is can countries like russia and china just make chips that are 1 generstion behind and still stay competitive

So I was watching a documentary on the supply chain of semi conductors and I was thinking most of the difficulties in manufacturing exist because the transistor size is soo very small

We have shrunk the transistor size very rapidly in the last few years, that made me think can countries like russia build chips that have a little larger transistors it will make the manufacturing a lot easier and the performance of the chips should still be adequate because they can still include all the other design improvements

What do you guys think is this extreme transistor shrinking worth it or it can be side stepped a bit for easier manufacturing

Gen Z and millennials NEED to have way less children if we wish to have a future

Look at what is happening to people in their 40s, 50s and 60s right now they cannot find a job for the life of them, no one has any interest in hiring them as they can easily get a younger replacement who has experience.

isnt the same future waiting for us do you think you will be hired when you are in your 50s

A;lso remember that non renewable natural resources are limited they genuinely will run out someday, just because they havent ran out until now doesnt mean that they never will

Food cannot be produced for 8 billion people without natural gas, it has nitrogen which have no other way of getting that plants need, in the past rain was very important for crops not only because of water but because it converted the N2 in the air into usuable compunds for the plants to survive

Soo if we are unemployed in the future and there is a shortage of resources what do you think will happen to us, we will all be abandoned to starve to death in the middle of the streets all of us

The only way forward for us is to lower the birth rate lower it as much as we ca go above and beyond so that we could have labor shortage and we are needed, otherwise we will just abandoned and forgotten in the middle of the road
