[HELP] New Fiverr seller - how do I get visibility?

Hey everyone,

My partner and I have been building our indie game for the past 3 years, and to help sustain development, we recently started Unity game dev services on Fiverr.

I'm curious how new sellers actually get visibility on the platform, feels like a bit of a black box from the outside.

For those who've been through this:

  • How did you land your first few clients?
  • Did Fiverr eventually start recommending your gigs on its own, or did you have to drive most of the traffic yourself early on?
  • Was there anything specific you did in the first few weeks that made a real difference?

Genuinely just trying to learn from people who've actually been through it. Any experiences, good or bad, appreciated. Thanks!

We made a fighting game where billionaires beat the crap out of each other

We built this as a joke a few years ago, inspired by our childhood memories of playing Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighters.

Elon launches rockets.

Bezos drops drone packages.

Steve Jobs shoots an IPhone.

Somehow it turned into a playable fighting game.

The prototype is on Itch, and we're now considering turning it into an online multiplayer party brawler.

Is this stupid, or stupid enough to work?

We are taking a leap of faith with this one, a musical slice-of-life RPG, inspired by Indian culture.

Hello!

We are a 2-person team making this musical slice-of-life RPG, Malhaar. You play as a musician and a luthier, while also helping out at the local cafe, becoming a part of the community, putting up tiny music shows, and unraveling the mystery of the musical spirits that only arrive during the firefly season🎶

You can also pet animals in our game😍

Full trailer - https://youtu.be/lBnyVUt5DpQ

If interested in knowing more about the game, here is the Steam page - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3581900/Malhaar/

We spent weeks preparing for a showcase premiere. Our trailer never played.

Hey everyone,

Just needed to get this off my chest.

We're a two-person indie team from India working on our first commercial game, Malhaar.

A few weeks ago we were selected for India Games Showcase × Summer Game Fest 2026. Honestly, it was a huge deal for us. We went from 259 wishlists to over 2,500 during the event, which completely exceeded our expectations and we're incredibly grateful for that.

But something happened on June 8 that has been bothering me ever since.

Our trailer was supposed to premiere alongside the other games in the showcase broadcast. We spent weeks talking about it, sharing the date everywhere, telling friends, family, and people following the game to tune in and watch.

So when the showcase started, we were sitting there waiting for our turn.

And then it just... never came.

The showcase ended and Malhaar wasn't in it.

At first we thought maybe we'd misunderstood something. We emailed the organizers and later found out that our trailer had been accidentally left out while the final showcase video was being put together.

To be fair to them, they reached out quickly, apologized, admitted it was their mistake, and have been talking to us about ways they might be able to help make up for it.

This isn't meant to be a callout post. Mistakes happen. I know everyone involved was probably under a lot of pressure.

But man, it still hurts.

For a small indie team, moments like these don't come around often. It's not just a trailer. It's weeks of anticipation and preparation all focused on one specific moment.

I think that's the part that's hard to explain.

We can upload the trailer ourselves. We did. We can keep posting about the game. We will.

But we can't recreate that premiere moment.

Once the showcase is over, most people are going to watch the recorded broadcast. And our game simply isn't there.

We're still moving forward. The game is doing better than we ever expected and we're genuinely thankful for that. But I'd be lying if I said this didn't take some of the wind out of our sails.

I guess I'm posting because I'm sure other developers have had things go wrong that were completely outside their control.

How did you deal with it? Did you just move on and focus on the next thing, or did it stick with you for a while?

Thanks for reading.

P.S. - if anyone's interested, watch the trailer here - https://youtu.be/lBnyVUt5DpQ

New to Kickstarter. NEED HELP/ADVICE! We wanna do a campaign for our game, but we are based in India. What should we do?

Hello!

We are a couple from India working on "Malhaar". It's a musical slice-of-life RPG where you play as a musician and luthier in a town lurking with musical spirits.

Since, we are from India and Kickstarter doesn't support Indian bank accounts, we are stuck. We have a few options, but not sure which one should we go with. Please advice!

  1. Stripe Atlas is the best option, but we don't have $500 for that, all our savings is burnt now and we are living off our parents.
  2. We can ask a family member or a friend living in eligible countries. But would it be fine with the backers??
  3. A publisher hopefully who could help with the campaign, but that option is not looking good at the moment.

Would really appreciate any help or advice. It really means a lot for us at this moment.

Here's our game's steam page for your reference - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3581900/Malhaar/

Thank you so much for your time and advice!

Not getting enough visibility for our musical slice-of-life RPG. What are we doing wrong?

Why is it so difficult to make our game visible?

All the publishers we sent the pitch to said that they are not looking for such kind of game at the moment. Getting visibility on Twitter is extremely difficult to the point that all the time gets eaten by social media and the development gets slow.

What are we missing out on? What should we do?

PLEASE HELP!

You can now pet animals in our musical slice-of-life game MALHAAR!! 🐶😻🐵

We are a couple from India working on our first game called Malhaar. It's been 1.5 years since we started developing it and are so excited to see how this is evolving!

Now you can even pet animals in the game to better your mood (top left corner) in the game.

In this clip, the player is petting Noorie❤️. She is shy and spends most of her time sleeping around the city.

What animals would you like to see and pet? Do let us know and we'll add them in the game😀

Also, here is the Steam link in case you'd wanna wishlist - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3581900/Malhaar/
