2026 Limited dash cam adapter?

Can anyone confirm if the 2026 Limited with auto dimming mirror with Homelink used a 5pin type E or something else?

Had issues last year with a 25 Forester Limited which comes with the digital rear view and does not have a 5E.

TIA.

Travel Pass - how to avoid it triggering?

Line is on an older 5G Plan which won't be switched over - hence moving to ultimate is not an option.

TravelPass surely works but for 2 weeks, not a good option price wise. For this, the monthly one at $100 may be a better alternative.

Was looking at a data eSIM, which go for about $15 for 5GB or $30 for 10GB. But the Verizon line would need to stay active so a) it works on WiFi calling, and b) for iMessage to work properly.

In the event I need to make a call while on cellular, having TravelPass may be ideal. But this means if a call comes in (even if I ignore it), or an SMS, would TravelPass kick in right away as well? Or does it only trigger when a) a call is answered, or b) by an outgoing txt message?

TIA.

Local eSIM in Argentina?

Phone doesn't have a SIM slot (considering moving temporarily to one that has a slot), so what are some decent local eSIM options for 15 days? Are they difficult to activate?

Getting one before travel are somewhat expensive.

I understand local physical SIMs are easy to get, but what about eSIMs? TIA.

All weather mats and cargo?

Last year we got a new Forester which came with the all weather mats. They’re really flimsy and slide all over the place. I ended up getting clips to keep them in place.

We’re getting a new Crosstrek and this one is not coming with them nor the cargo one. A few years ago we got a cargo tray for a Honda from eBay and it was great, but figured out I ask what’s the consensus here for these. TIA.

Helping a family member find a healthy Havanese puppy

I’m helping a family member to get a healthy Havanese male puppy avoiding puppy mills.

This is in the NY/NJ/PA area. Not looking for a show dog, but don’t want a mix either.

They’ve been looking at the AKC but some listed ended up showing potential red flags (last name and area of the breeder related to mills in PA).

What are some pointers to find a decent breeder or other red flags? TIA.

PS - this is also being posted in r/Maltese as they are also considering that breed.

Is the online offer true or the low ball at pickup?

Selling a 2019 vehicle with about 65K mile. The offer online is good but how can I have them inspect it to be accurate?

I’ve sold once to CarMax and you would get them inspected and they’ll give you a firm offer. In this case CarMax came $1000 less

I’m buying new so if dealer doesn’t match (even with sales tax deduction) I’d sell it to Carvana, but afraid they’ll come and lowball.

TIA

1st Gen (Zwave) Sensors available anywhere?

Anyone seen or know where to get Ring 1st Gen sensors, particularly Flood & Freeze ones? I'd rather they are Zwave and work with the existing Ring Alarm as I don't have anything that could use sidewalk as a hub in a location... TIA.

Nissan extended warranty

Looking for a dealer that sells Security+Plus Gold at cost. Any recommendations?

Also, do you need to purchase it right away or can it be done before the 3/36?

I know Honda Care must be purchased within 5000 miles but Subaru Gold Plus can be done up to 3/36.

And if you have a price sheet appreciated..

Telemundo 4K - only one game a day??

Added the 4K package to get the games in Spanish, after getting logged out twice from the Telemundo app mid game.

Well, I see a "Telemundo 4K" channel but it's signed off. And tomorrow only the 6pm game will be shown. What about tonight's 9pm and midnight, and the other games tomorrow??

4K Addon - does it renew with subscription or on its own?

At one point last year, I added the 4K package and it was prorated so it would renew at the same time as my subscription. Looking at my billing history, I was charged about $3.50 for 10 days.

But looking to add it today for example, when my sub is renewed on the 8th of the month, and wants to charge the full amount, and would renew on the 13th.

Is this how it goes now?

TIA.

Discount from MSRP for premium with roof or limited without it?

I always look at a set number or percentage off from MSRP, since there are a lot more variables in place than looking for an OTD number (doc fees, port options, dealer addons, taxes, dmv).

Initially sent out some inquires for a limited with no roof and got close to 10% off MSRP. But when switching gears to a Premium with roof) percentage off was around 7%

Is they more of a markup from invoice for the limited? Or maybe because I was looking at one with no roof?

Is there any dealer cash or incentives going on at the moment?

TIA

All eeros rebooted during the day - why?

Out of the blue, gateway eero rebooted, followed by the other nodes.

Under software, it shows that version 7.15 is available and preferred update time is 2-3am.

Any way to see what happened?

USB-C to barrel adapter

Old 6+ year old spotlight cam battery finally bit the dust (thinks battery door is always open and fails to recognize a battery on one of its slots). The cam is connected to a solar panel (3rd party).

Ring support is sending a cam battery plus, which afaik uses USB-C instead of barrel. Being an accessory, Ring won’t send the adapter.

So, does any 3rd party work? Or should I get the Ring brand? I think I read that some cause the cam not to recognize a solar panel. Any that do work?

LG gas dryer vibrating noise and no heat for 5-10 minutes then ok

About year old LG gas dryer. We noticed that it can take a good 5-10 minutes for it to start heating (you open the door, and everything is damp and room temp). At the same time, there's like a vibration happening like if something metal is loose.

After the 5-10 minutes passed, the vibration goes away and it starts heating. We did a full duct cleaning last year too, but don't think it's that. The unit's self-test and air flow are ok, so don't think it's an air flow restriction.

Still on warranty but it will take some time for someone to be dispatched. Figured if anyone has any ideas about what could be wrong...
