Black licorice ice cream?

Red Button used to make a really good black licorice ice cream, but it looks like they don't anymore. Does anyone know if black licorice ice cream is available in the area? I'm guessing it might have to come from a local scoop shop.

Thank you!

I had no idea they were going to send me food that expired two days after delivery.

I ordered 12 meals for myself--two meals a day for six days--but some of the dishes expire tomorrow. Did I miss something that indicated this would happen? They deliver weeky; I assumed the food would be good for a week.

Do y'all just go ahead and eat their dishes that have passed the expiration date?

Does anyone else tell Alexa (out loud) what a stupid bitch she is?

All I use her for is the timer and to find out what the temperature in my bedroom is, so when she tries to sell me shit or tell me about her "morning routine" feature, I really let her have it.

Any Thai restaurants in the area with "atmosphere?"

Besides Benja's, are there any Thai restaurants around here or in Mesquite that have a nice, somewhat-authenticly decorated dining area?

Don't get me wrong, I love the food at some of our Thai places like Kitchen Thai Express, but it's going to be Father's Day, and basically so many of these places are almost barren inside--zero atmosphere. So, I'm just wondering what alternatives there are out there.

Thank you and Happy Father's Day to everyone!

I’m a white woman who lives/works in a Chinese brothel and the lady who works here always brings me eggs with a spoon lol

I think she thinks this is easier for me than chopsticks

So I usually just let them cool down and I eat them with my hand lol

Does anyone here buy meals from the CookUnity or Factor meal delivery services?

I know CookUnity uses cold packs, but the food isn't shipped frozen; it's shipped refrigerated. I just can't imagine the food arriving cold and safe with our crazy summer temperatures.

Factor does freeze the meals before shipment, but I still have the same concerns with how hot it is here.

Does anyone have any experience with these companies? Thank you!

Looking for a new, somewhat "different" flavor combination.

Lately, I've been getting an iced mocha with Irish cream and orange. I'm looking for something new to try.

I'll probably always start with an iced mocha. One of the flavors I've been thing of is blackberry--if they have it--but I'm not what flavor to pair it with.

Anyway, hit me with your favorite "unique" flavor combinations. Thanks muchly!

Can I use my receipt to get the rewards points?

I almost never purchase in-store and didn't even think about the rewards points when I paid. I have my receipt. I don't see anywhere in my account on the app where I can get points from my receipt. Is that possible, or did I mess up? (I'm not so worried about the points from the sub (regular) but this purchase would give me my free birthday sub.)

Thanks!

***** SPOILER ***** Niall's Final Confession

First off, this series fucking rocked. Richard Gadd is a genius and deserves Emmys both for writing and acting. (Bell was amazing as well!)

>!There are a couple of things that didn't quite fly with me, but the one that really stood out was when Niall, while laughing the whole time, told Ruben about Mona and baby Baird. That was fucking crazy. I don't care how jovial things are or how connected you're feeling at the time, that confession was not reasonable. I realize that one of the big themes in this series is about how each of them seem unable to refrain from fucking up their own lives, and I DID want Ruben to find out, but I think it could have been done in a much better way.!<

Seriously, though. I will be thinking about this story for days.

Kevin O’Leary says Gen Z’s résumé goes ‘right in the garbage’ if mom or dad shows up to the interview—but 1 in 5 are still doing it anyway.

Source: Fortune Magazine

Gen Z is entering the toughest job market in years, and millions are struggling with unemployment, with a record number classified as NEETs (not in education, employment, or training). So now they’re bringing a parental plus-one to interviews to vouch for their skills and talents.

New research from the career platform Zety shows that 1 in 5 Gen Z candidates have brought a parent to a job interview, and some are even letting mom or dad negotiate their salary.

You might assume these parents are quietly dialling into first-stage Zoom calls to hold their child’s hand through the nerves. But the reality is far more brazen—most are showing up in person, taking time out of their own working day to sit across the table from their child’s potential employer.

And the coddling doesn’t stop there.

1 in 5 say a parent has contacted a potential employer or recruiter on their behalf. Think cold-calling a hiring manager to put in a good word, or emailing a recruiter to chase up an application their child never followed up on.

A third of respondents said their parents helped them negotiate their salary, with 10% letting mom or dad negotiate directly with the boss themselves.

It comes as Gen Z workers are getting fired just months after being hired—with managers citing a lack of basic workplace readiness, poor communication skills, and an inability to take feedback.

Are there any Mongolian Grills/BBQ left in the area?

I know there used to be one in that large strip mall by I-15 and the BLVD.

Edit: And what's the best place for pho?

You're making a grilled cheese sandwich when someone puts a gun to your head and says, "Add one more ingredient." What are you adding?

It can't be more cheese.
