Bought Toy Story RC, 5 Pack (Safari Mode) from Hamleys, Orion Mall, Bengaluru

Went for a movie on a Sunday afternoon and ended up buying these two beauties.

I was lucky to be at a time when Hamleys just stocked this Toy Story Premium RC. I picked this up as soon as I saw this on the pegs.

I have been wanting to get hold of this since it was originally released in 2019, and I'm thrilled to finally get my hands on this 2026 release.

I also bought this 5-Pack because it had a unique dark blue Lamborghini. This shade is a brand new addition to my collection.

Since the billy book shelf had no space to display the Lego Apartment and Central Perk sets together, I built this small garage-style structure to stack the café on a second level! (Bonus: Added 2 speed champs set)

But, shouldn't the cafe be on ground floor and apartments on first?

iMac 2012 and iPad 3 (Vintage Photo taken by phone)

Photo was taken sometime during September 2016. Back then these were my go-to machines for work.

I used to read emails, respond to them and read stuff on iPad and once I was done with all reading stuff, I used to use my mac for developing websites.

At night, I used to read books on iPad for inspiration.

Back in 2019, I found this Bugatti Chiron just chilling on a Crossword Store Shelf

#ThrowBackThursday — Bengaluru, Feb 2020.

The Bugatti Chiron was the most wanted car of the season, and real collectors couldn't find it on any pegs.

It was unavailable even on KarzAndDolls, my go-to source for Mainlines back then.

I'd more or less made my peace with missing this one.

Until 25th Feb 2020.

I'd gone to meet a friend at a cafe, and afterwards we wandered into Crossword for a buying a few books — the branch next to Vega City Mall, now closed.

There it was. One Chiron. Mint card. The last place in this city I'd have expected to find it.

And yes — I un-carded it the same day I bought it. Wouldn't have it any other way.

#ThrowBackThursday — Bengaluru, Feb 2020.

The Bugatti Chiron was the most wanted car of the season, and real collectors couldn't find it on any pegs. One scalper had gone store to store and pulled every single Chiron off Bengaluru's pegs — then posted the whole haul on Facebook 😂.

It was unavailable even on KarzAndDolls, my go-to source for Mainlines back then.

I'd more or less made my peace with missing this one.

This was almost the start of when the hobby turned into an investment opportunity for a lot of resellers.

And yes — I un-carded it the same day I bought it. Wouldn't have it any other way.

My First Ever Jada 1:24 - Batman Arkham Knight

Story Time: In 2018 I started collecting Hot Wheels. I have had a very good collection of Batmobiles from Hot Wheels and I created an impressive Hot Wheels display in my home.

I had a small get-together in 2019 at my home and a couple of my friends saw my Hot Wheels collection. The Hot Wheels display was always the first thing people saw when they came home.

They were impressed and on my birthday, they gifted me this Arkham Knight from Jada.

I did not know this brand existed until I was gifted this, and I was super impressed by the quality and detailing. This was heavy, like metal with rubber tyres. The cockpit canopy that opens up to a beautifully detailed dashboard is one of my favourite features of this vehicle.

Its been almost 7 years now and this still feels like the most cherished die-cast car. Not just in terms of quality and beauty but also the thought and love behind the gift

Cheese Pav Bhaji from Amchi Mumbai

A few days ago I made this Cheese Pav Bhaji at home. I've always loved my homemade (mom-approved, of course) recipe.

  1. Boil the vegetables in a cooker: potato, green peas (fresh, not the frozen ones), cauliflower and cabbage. The ratio of vegetables to potato should be roughly 1:1 to get that rich texture. (You can make a healthier version by adding more vegetables — there's no right or wrong here, but I've realised through experimentation that this ratio works best.)

  2. Here's a quick trick: add pav bhaji masala while boiling the vegetables (along with salt).

  3. In a separate pan, sauté finely chopped onions till they turn golden brown. Use oil or ghee here — do not use butter at this stage. Ideally, I'd use ghee.

  4. Add ginger-garlic paste (please make it at home — no matter the brand, homemade ginger-garlic paste tastes way better).

  5. A note on the tomato-to-onion ratio: it depends on how tangy you want your bhaji, and on how tangy the tomatoes themselves are. I generally go with roughly 1:1 ratio on this.

  6. Add finely chopped capsicum (I prefer green).

  7. Add grated 1/2 small beetroot for that rich red colour. Don't add too much of it, though — it'll ruin the taste. You could also add it as a purée.

  8. Add tomatoes, pav bhaji masala, turmeric, salt and the boiled vegetables (along with the water they were boiled in). Get the proportions of spice and salt right — that's the most important thing when making any dish.

  9. Khada Pav Bhaji vs Regular Pav Bhaji: this is where you decide how much to mash the vegetables. Keep them chunky for khada, or mash them down for the regular style.

  10. The essence of a good pav bhaji, IMO, is that every bite tastes the same — an even flavour of vegetables and spices throughout. Here's the part most people skip: keep stirring the gravy on a low flame for at least 10 minutes, making sure the bhaji doesn't stick to the pan.

  11. Once the bhaji is mixed and mashed to your liking, add some butter and mix well. Don't shy away from butter here — it gives the bhaji a rich taste.

  12. Optionally, grate some cheese on top to make it a Cheese Pav Bhaji.

  13. Note: both cheese and butter contain salt (you could use unsalted butter instead), so account for that when you're salting the bhaji. And it's not just salt — balance the spice too if you're adding cheese or butter.

  14. And your bhaji is ready! Serve it with buttered pav, a wedge of lemon, some finely chopped raw onion and fresh coriander.

Bburago Ferrari 5 Pack (~2019)

I bought these back in 2019.
I loved the fact they were reasonably priced (around 1k back then) and not scalped by everyone 😂

This Miniature Lego Piano is a part of a Harry Potter Lego set, "The Shrieking Shack & Whomping Willow (76407)"

This unique, built-in miniature upright piano is something that brings character to the lego room.

Wish Lego could bring more of such tiny masterpieces in future sets!

Something from My collection

Got mine last year from a Thailand trip, and it's quietly become the paperweight on my desk — holding down notes while I work. Made me wonder what other people use theirs for, since these things are sturdy enough to actually be useful.

Anyone else using theirs for something beyond display? Even curious if people have tried them as bookends, doorstops, whatever.
