switch or router?

i have two tplink ax12 routers, and for some reason i cannot set one to acess point and connect a computer with a lan cable to it (only wifi) and i already gave up solving this, its too exhausting for me!

would a switch be enough? or a wired router (tplink er605) be better?

wifi is mostly internet browsing and whatsapp, 50 mega would be plenty
there is also a timer and a light switch connnected to the wifi

setup would be:

1. ONT -> main router -> switch -> wifi acess point
                              |
                              v
                          computer

1.  ONT ->  er605 -> ax12 wifi
               |
               v
           ax12 wifi

and then the other doubt, do i put both ax12 as acess point coming from the er605? or one ax12 as router and the other as acess point?

tplink ax12 - strange issue with setting an acess point

- i recently bought two tplink ax12 v1, one should be an acess point (both updated to latest firmware 1.3.2 Build 20260324 Rel. 42949(4252))

- i use fiber internet with an ont, the main router dials ppoe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

i setup one of the routers as acess point, it starts OK an working

what is strange: the main router loses connection to the internet, i have to disconnect and reconnect the ppoe

no matter what i try its always the same, after not long (20 minutes max) the acess point drops the ppoe connection from the main router- neither cable or wireless internet work

how its setup:

gateway on main router is ...1.1, acess point ....2.2. i copied the wireless settings to the acess point and then changed to acess point mode

what i tried:

- setting the second router as mesh, and then connecting the cable and setting it as an acess point

- swapping the routers main <-> acess point, with the same outcome as above

i dont understand "low quality wifi" and even less what to do against it

being plagued by this problem for years, and i would like to finally undestand what does this actually mean?

i tried understanding it, but nowhere i found a clear and simple explanation what it is and what causes it - can seomeone explain this in simple terms?

My phone will randomly decide that my home wifi network is "low quality" and refuse to utilize the connection despite perfectly good signal.

---------

how to fix this?

using android 15 (motorola g34), the option of ""Adaptive Connectivity" is missing in the wifi options

is there nothing i can do to simply ignore the low quality and stay connected regardless? an app maybe?"

searching about this is less then helpful, no real solution found

---------------

i live in a rural area, there are no antennas or anything that could cause interference around the location in at least 1 square km , and not even electronics in the house (like microwave)

i need to have whatsapp as a backup as means of communication (especially for ordering food or medical emergency) as the 4g siganl is very unstable in the area

its definitely not interference

need help sizing the needed material for a large gate

i need help finding the right size and thickness of the metal tubes

should be a swinging gate - one side is 3 metres long and 2 metres tall, the other 2 metres long and 2 metres tall (together they cover the 5 metre opening)

there is a 35cm x 35cm concrete pillar on each side to hold the gate

they will be claded with reclaimed hardwood which is heavy, also there are strong winds in the area

this design is just and example, any suggestion is welcome:
