Upgrading the picocalc to the pi pico 2 has made me hate it.

I upgraded the picocalc from the provided pico to the pico 2 in order to use Mothpad. In spite of finding firmwares supposedly compatible with the rp2350, barely any of them seem to fucking work.

The NES emulator won't detect any button inputs. pocketpico, the master system emulator, and the mp3 players supposedly meant for the pico2 black-screen, and something about using the 2350 version of picoware ruined the original sd card and put it to read-only.

This makes me feel how people describe using linux for the first time without assistance. If it wasn't for picomite, mothpad and Rogue still working as intended, I'd have probably removed the batteries and drilled it to a crucifix it for slingshot practice.
