Do you believe that you become like the people you surround yourself with?

For me kase yes, you just don't notice it pero you can pick up their habits, character, and mindsets talaga. That's why surrounding yourself with good peeps is a must.

Men loves to provide to people they love.

May ex ako for 7 years, everything went well— but there's something so bothering, my partner never exert efforts sa dates, di ako binibilhan, never pinakilala sa pamilya, yung parang normal lang na para bang di kami mag partner. Then afterwarda, I found out na may kalandian pala siya, yun yung kalandian niya, binibilhan niya, nag dadate sila patago and kilala ng pamilya as a close friend. So nakipag break ako, mahirap bumitaw kasi nga mahal mo pero ano magagawa mo di nga ikaw yung mahal so nag let go ako. After a year, may nakilala ako- jusko dzaeeeee first day siya gumastos, siya nag plan lahat, siya nag gastos, I insist na umambag pero ayaw niya siya daw bahala. 2 years na kami next month, and in a short span of time kilala na ako ng parents, and ng boung angkan pinakilala sa mga friends, naka featured sa facebook, random gifts sa random na araw, sabi ko nga SSS tier level ang pagiging provider kasi binibigay sakin a portion of his salary para lang daw may pang gastos ako, e sinasave ko nalang sa bangko kasi may work din naman ako. Lahat nalang ng pwede e provide sakin binibigay. At dun ko narealize na men are really so simple to read, if mahal ka mag pro-provide talaga sila sayo. Not in the most expensive ways man pero in a most whole heartedly naman. Hindi naman ako materialistic, and personally I can buy things for myself, but d*mn this person is really something. And take note, walang nag bago sa 2 years na yan, lumala pa nga ang pagiging provider kind of partner pa siya to the point na gusto niya sa kanya ako hihingi ng pamasahe papuntang work 😭 God thank you for letting me have him hihihi.

20 [F4A] looking for casual online friends here...

20F looking for casual friends :>>

Hi! 20F here, looking for casual friends na okay lang kahit minsan late replies HAHAHA. I’m also looking for people na marunong mag-first message ulit the next morning after mag-goodnight 😭 para naman hindi ko isipin na ayaw niyo na ako kausap HAHAHA. Pero okay lang naman if hindi, no pressure!!

I’m not really good at describing how I look, so here’s my IG instead: @ riry.smth. I don’t really use it for messaging though, so please message me here sa Reddit instead :>>

Girl or boy friends, kahit anong gender honestly basta kaya makipag-usap kapag may free time. Preferably 20+ sana.

I’m pretty madaldal once comfortable na ako, so message niyo na ako para mag-chikahan tayo 😭 I like random conversations, getting to know people, and just talking about whatever comes up.

Hopefully may makilala akong genuine and chill people here. :>>

The discipline it takes NOT to have bf in my early 20's huhuhu

gusto ko lang i-share kasi kinikilig pa rin ako. 😭

Three days ago, I had the most unexpected and organic encounter with this cute Chinese guy in Tagaytay. Grabe, ang soft ng facial features niya pero yung build niya very masculine, tapos sobrang tangkad pa. 😭 Definitely my type.

So here's what happened. I was at the counter asking for a glass of water kasi sobrang tamis nung inorder kong drink. Then out of nowhere, he approached me and asked if I could help him order because his English wasn't that good. And to be fair, hindi nga siya gano'n kagaling mag-English, pero naiintindihan ko naman siya. (I'm an English tutor, by the way. I teach Korean students.)

Fast forward, he asked if I had WeChat.

That's when I mentioned that I'm an English tutor.

Tapos bigla niyang sinabi,

"Can you be my teacher so I can have good English? I'll pay you, no matter the price."

AAAHHHHHH YAWA. 😭😭😭 KINILIG AKO.

So ayun... instead of giving my WeChat, binigay ko email ko for work. Syempre to discuss how my classes are done and how much.

Plot twist: private student ko na ngayon si crush. HAHAHAHAHA. We had our first class last night hirap maging proffesional yawa.😭🫦😭🫦😭

Grabe na talaga, I'm so over this...

Before I begin with the story, I'm a 20F, an only child, and I'm fortunate enough to come from a family that can provide for me. I've been on a gap year for two years now, although I started working a part-time job last November and I'm still working today.

Two years ago, I cut almost everyone off because I was going through something personally. I chose to heal in private instead of explaining myself to everyone.

Lately, some old friends found my new Instagram account. They started messaging me things like, "Sana all living the good life," "Sana all chill lang habang kami hirap sa college," and the worst part? Some of them even have the audacity to ask me for money.

At first, I ignored it. But eventually, it started getting to me.

Why do some people act like I should feel guilty because my parents can provide a comfortable life for me? Why does it seem like I'm expected to apologize for something I didn't choose?

Yes, from the outside it probably looks like I'm just "chilling." But what they don't see are the nights I spend worrying about my future, wondering what I'll do with my savings, feeling like time is slipping away. My SHS batchmates are already in their third year of college, some are close to graduating. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to figure my life out. I'm working, but I'm still not where I want to be, and that alone already weighs heavily on me.

People only see what you choose to post online. They don't see the anxiety, the pressure, or the silent battles you're fighting.

Then they get upset because I don't want to lend them money, because I don't want to hang out, or because I disappeared from everyone's lives.

But here's the thing: am I obligated to stay involved in everyone else's life just because we used to be friends?

No.

Everyone has their own problems to deal with. I'm dealing with mine. You deal with yours. Don't make someone else feel guilty simply because they aren't fixing yours.

And to the students reading this I know studying is hard. I know burnout is real. I know motivation comes and goes. This isn't me saying your struggles aren't valid.

But sometimes, I think we all need a reality check.

When you say, "Wala na akong motivation mag-aral," ask yourself why you started in the first place.

There are people who would do anything just to sit inside a classroom. Some had to stop studying because they couldn't afford tuition. Some have to work to feed their families instead of chasing a degree. Some sacrificed their own education so their younger siblings could continue theirs.

In today's economy, even many entry-level jobs require a college degree. Education isn't just about grades anymore it's a privilege and, for many people, the only chance they have to build a better future.

You don't have to love studying every day. You don't have to feel motivated all the time. Discipline will always take you farther than motivation ever will.

I'm not saying, "Other people have it worse, so stop complaining." That's not my point.

My point is this: don't lose sight of the opportunities you already have just because they're difficult. Struggling doesn't mean you've failed, and having privileges doesn't mean you don't struggle either.

At the same time, don't project your frustrations onto people whose lives look different from yours.

Someone having supportive parents doesn't erase their own battles.

Someone taking a gap year doesn't mean they're lazy.

Someone posting happy moments doesn't mean they're not silently stressed.

We all carry different burdens. Stop turning life into a competition over who has it harder.

Instead of guilt tripping people for what they have, focus on building what you want for yourself.

We're all trying to survive in our own way.

Marine schools recommendations near my area:>

Hello everyone! 😊

Does anybody know of any marine schools near General Trias, Cavite? I'm planning to take a maritime course, but I really can't study too far from home because I'm often needed around the house. Since I have family responsibilities, commuting long distances every day isn't really an option for me.

I'm hoping to find schools that are within or near General Trias, Dasmariñas, Tanza, Rosario, or other nearby areas that are manageable to travel to. If you know any schools, I'd really appreciate it if you could share their names and, if possible, your experience or feedback about them as well.

Thank you so much in advance! Any recommendations or advice would be a huge help. 🤍

What's one thing you wish someone taught you before your 20s?

Could be about money, relationships, work, health, or anything you had to learn the hard way.

Hello everybody, just looking for someone interested here.

I created TwentiesPH a space where Filipinos in their 20s can share experiences, ask for advice, celebrate wins, vent, and connect with people going through the same stage of life. Puro pang trenta at pang-kuwarenta kasi madalas nakikita kong communities. 😭

This isn't a solicitation or promotion just sharing a new community for anyone who might be interested.

We're just getting started, and I'd love for you to help build it from the ground up. I'm also looking for a few people who'd be interested in helping moderate the community.

Hope to see you there! 🌱 Message me if hindi nyo mahanap si sub.
