I’ve seen the most common ones from SCP channels on YouTube (rubber, SCP explained, dr. Bob, etc) but I feel like those can leave a lot out and maybe change something’s about the SCPs to make them more appealing so I’d rather read about them myself and since they mostly only touch upon the more popular ones like, manny The Man with the Upside-Down Face, icky the magic clown, motormouth, etc and leave the less popular ones out.

Usually when I see stories of characters with powers everyone around them normally has powers and it’s like a magical academy or something. The only instances I’ve seen where a character is the only one with powers is Saiki K (but that’s kinda like a joke show), Danny phantom, best friends whenever, I Am Not Okay With This, (Others i probably don’t know about).

My main character has the ability to read minds, that’s it, but nobody else has any magical ability. Should I come up with some complex reason to why he has powers or, how do I make it believable that only he has powers without making it annoying, “he’s the only one with powers, he’s special”.
