How did you learn of Dark Romance?

Until this year, I thought the dark romance genre is about falling in love with a supernatural creature (ala Twilight) and the forbidden love nature of that relationship. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case after hearing about slop like Haunting Adaline. These books sound more like crime/horror/thriller instead of a romance.

I would add Sharon to the list for uprooting her children like that, but she became a consistently good mom after that, so I didn't put her in.
