So I’ve been autistically hyperfixating on .Hack and Ys series. Already blew like 150 dollars on getting my hands on all the LNs and anime for Hack I can along with the anime and I’m playing through all the games along with the games that have Hack characters and I’m curious, do you guys personally feel the series needed a reboot? And if so what would you guys like to see?
I personally hope we see the devastation of The World affect the real world and the Pluto again. OG .hack implied shit was hitting the fan in the real world but we never really saw the devastation of Phases or Cubia were causing with Kite dealing with them. I wanna see like entire countries and shit lose power like they’ve been hit with an EMP and shit falling out of the sky and such.

Balmung is an asshole who betrays you who would constantly get in the way of Rose and Kite trying to save the people they love. Also if Kite wasn’t the MC Rose would definitely be the MC. Her Light Novel is great by the way, read it.
Helps that it was voiced by an absolute legend, Alan Oppenheimer. Crazy the vibes difference of the villains Adol was fighting in his first adventures lol. Bro was 17 fighting the father of demons.
Talking about Adol’s best friend and like day-one shooter who’s been by his side through thick and thin and has weathered god knows how many storms, and he’s only playable in YS seven out of the mainline games and then one mobile game I didn’t even know existed till like five minutes ago and a non-canon fighting game with Trails. Absolutely insanity
Have to give them props for adapting Adol’s design the best they could in the hyper realism style they did for the opening, but something about Adol’s face is incredibly uncanny, same with Dogi’s but mostly Adol’s lol.
I didn’t get very far tho but I’m a sucker for a good detective/cop story and the twist of a Branch of Cops being their own PI/Adventure Guild is great. I have to thank Zero for introducing me to the series cause I’m loving the remake of Sky, but you tell people you started with Zero and they look at you like you started smoking crack.

I have to give it to Arcsystem and the team for making accurate Spanglish that’s not the equivalent of “I love burritos and my Abuela.” Robbie letting a No mames rip is peak.
Being Robbie is suffering (being any Ghost Rider is suffering tbh) but Robbie deserves a W and if that W is a beautiful blonde Slav with a big-ass sword then he deserves it lol. On the real tho they’re very cute together and the 5 people that played Midnight Suns they both have cute moments together. Robbie is the goat.
Replaying through Digital Devil Saga inspired me to make this. It’s not the cleanest, but I had fun making it. DDS is easily one of my favorite PS2 games.
SJ Redux was my first SMT game ever and it has a special place in my heart. Both do, and it is easily one of my all-time favorite games despite its flaws. It’s a wonderful experience and the New Neutral Ending is one of my all-time favorite endings period. Putting aside that it’s literally the Doom 64 ending which is great, the idea that a normal soldier ascended while maintaining his humanity to be a guardian of humanity is wonderful. Next time we see him he’s on the 7th iteration of the Schwarweltz and still going. Alex is probably long dead and he’s still doing it for her. So I’m curious, what are all of your favorite endings and why do you like them?
I still hold that Doom Guy would be one of the greatest superbosses. It would be phenomenal. The arena being on the Moon would also be the coolest thing ever.
So I was able to get my grubby fiending hands on The Roots of Heaven and I’ve been painstakingly using MTL so I can read it. The translation is pretty dogshittium at points, but it’s easily tied with my favorite Metro book and John is easily one of my favorite characters. I’d say I like him more than Arytom. The world building and factions are great and I love them. It’ll probably never happen, but if the Metro universe got games, they should adapt John’s books.
Peter’s fucked up veins making a grotesque spiderweb is a very clever and cool concept.
