I just wanted to share what I have so far for a TimeSplitters project I've started.

I'm planning on drawing every character from the TimeSplitters franchise and adding them all to the collage on slide one (I'll have to keep making the characters smaller haha)

So far I've done 10 characters, a TimeSplitter and 2 monkeys.

Which characters should I do next? I've already done Chastity Detroit, I just need to colour her.

Does anybody here know someone who took part as a contestant on one of those BBC3 reality shows back in the day? Or better yet, did anybody here actually take part in one?

I'd love to know how they feel looking back?

If my memory serves me correctly, they always cast 18/19 year olds, and the entire premise of all these shows was usually "haha look how dumb they are!"

I wonder how many of them regret it, or if they just look back on it as just a laugh.

It's also interesting that these shows never seemed to produce any Z-List celebrities came from these shows the way they do on Love Island, Traitors, Big Brother etc either. Unless I'm forgetting somebody obvious, it seems all of them just completely disappeared afterwards.

Less than 10 hours ago I posted a piece of fan art I'd made, and have just came across it on Facebook - where someone had put an AI filter over it 😑

About 2 months ago I posted a piece of Fan art I drew, and I said I was going to colour it and do Hitman 2, then 3 - but I moved onto another project and completely forgot 🤦🏻

A few days ago I remembered, and finished the Hitman 1 piece! Going to actually do Hitman 2 now haha so I'll post that once it's done 😊

This was posted on a couple of different Dead or Alive pages yesterday (saw it on reddit and facebook) and was wondering if anyone knows where it came from, or if it's ai?

I was thinking fake, but most of the characters seem to be wearing new outfits from their headshots so it's hard to tell, plus there was a blurry photo leak of Tekken 8 before that launched.

Not getting my hopes up though.

Sorry if this is off-topic, it relates to DDLV though - I used to wake up at 4am for work, so my two babies, Miss Vanjie (black one) and Brooklyn (fluffy one) got used to waking up then too.

Every morning (even on my days off) they'd wake me up around 3.58 to ensure I'd get up.

Now I don't have to get up until 5.30am, but they can't get out of the habit of annoying me so early.

Last week they came and woke me up early again, so I came down, loaded up Dreamlight Valley (planning to play for a bit) and they both collapsed in front of the TV.

Same happened the next day, and the next day...

I'm guessing their new wake up call is because they don't want to miss what happens next on DDLV - the game being static with the critters, butterflies etc, and the music really seems to chill them out!

I can finally reclaim my sleep!

Would people be interested in a Tekke Figure Collection?

I came up with this concept in the style of the Eaglemoss Figure Collections (which unfortunately went out of business a couple of years ago).

I think a subscription system would be the best way to ensure we get every character (I guess the reason we've never had a Wang figure, or a Beak or Miharu figure is because they'd never sell well by themselves, hence why they usually only make the main characters like Jin, Kaz etc).

2nd and 3rd pages are just to prove it's not AI, because I know what people are like haha 😊

I was on holiday when Attack the Vine was released so was nervous I wouldn't be able to get any when I got back.

Luckily walked into my local card shop and they had plenty of stock!

Got a Trove plus 8 extra packs for me and my little buddy to open as we watched his favourite movie, Ratatouille 🥰

I posted the hand-drawn version of Anna and Nina a few days ago and people seemed to like them - so thought I'd do a few more and colour them digitally for extra polish.

Each outfit is my take on one (or more) of their iconic looks.

I had a lot of fun with Julia 🥰 I based her fit on T4's double denim look.

Does anybody have any suggestions or requested characters? I'm having fun doing these in my spare time.

I'm currently drawing for Jun which is a blend of her TTT2 bird-print outfit and her T8 look.

I designed new T8 outfits for Anna and Nina.

For Anna I did a dress inspired by her classic look, but with some black and gold accessories, including the 'claw' gloves from T8.

For Nina I was inspired by her pink T4 catsuit, but in her signature purple, with some T8 accessories like the ankle bracelets and torso jewellery piece.

Dead or Alive seriously needs to move away from the childlike "pedo-bait" character designs if it ever wants to be taken seriously and grow its player base.

I've been a fighting game fan my whole life. My partner, on the other hand, barely played them growing up—he remembers the odd game of Tekken 2, but he couldn't have named more than a handful of characters from any fighting game franchise.

Over the last few years we've played through the latest Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter together, and now he's genuinely into all three series.

When I mentioned Dead or Alive, though, he immediately said, "Isn't that just the game with the jiggle physics?" He had zero interest.

The Dead or Alive 7 teaser got me excited, so I picked up DOA6 for us to play together. We started with Versus mode so he could get used to the controls. He picked random characters like Tina, Zack, Bass and Bayman while I stuck with some of my mains—Helena, Christie, Eliot and Ayane.

He laughed at some of the ridiculously over-the-top outfits and fan service. It was mostly eye-rolling rather than anything else. His actual reaction was that the gameplay felt incredible. In fact, he said it was probably his favourite fighting game mechanically out of Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and DOA.

Then we started Story Mode.

After a handful of cutscenes involving Marie Rose, Honoka and Nico, he completely checked out. His exact words were, "Yeah... this isn't for me." The biggest reason was Marie Rose's design and costumes. From his perspective as someone with no attachment to the series, it just came across as uncomfortable rather than appealing.

And honestly, I can understand why.

I don't have an issue with adult characters being sexualised. Dead or Alive has always leaned into that, and characters like Tina, Christie, Helena, Lisa or Kasumi are clearly designed as adult women. Whether you like that style or not is a separate discussion.

What I don't understand is why Team Ninja continues creating characters that are intentionally designed to look extremely young while also putting them in overtly sexualised outfits and situations. That's where the series crosses a line for a lot of people, and it actively reinforces the stereotype that DOA is "that weird fighting game."

People often dismiss criticism by saying, "They're adults in the lore." But that's missing the point entirely. What matters is the visual design and the impression it gives. If a character is deliberately made to look like a child, telling people she's technically 18 or older doesn't suddenly change how she looks.

Look at Tekken. Xiaoyu is a perfect example. She started as a schoolgirl, looked youthful, and was never presented as overtly sexualised. The same goes for Sakura in Street Fighter. Youthful characters can exist without the game constantly trying to make them sex symbols.

Dead or Alive has one of the best combat systems in the genre. It's fast, fluid and genuinely unique. It deserves to be discussed for its gameplay, stages and mechanics—not because every conversation immediately becomes about jiggle physics or characters that make newcomers uncomfortable.

If Team Ninja genuinely wants DOA to grow beyond its existing niche, this is something they need to address. My partner went from saying the gameplay was his favourite of the big four fighting franchises to refusing to keep playing because of the way some of these characters were presented. I can't imagine he's the only person who's had that reaction.
