So… I’m entertaining the idea of selling a guitar. It’s a 2015 Gibson Custom shop Memphis ES Les Paul in Cobraburst. I’ve since upgraded the pickups to Duncan 59s which sound amazing. This is literally the best sounding guitar I’ve ever heard and if I could put these electronics in every guitar I play, I’d be so happy. It’s truly incredible and I use it on our records all the time.
But I just don’t play it anymore because I don’t like Les Paul shapes and we aren’t in the studio as much anymore, playing live much more.
How the hell do I determine what it’s worth? Cuz I think if I could get $4k for it I’d sell it in a heartbeat and forever regret it lol.
So….. I think there’s a chance my seller is dead. Dude was in and out of the hospital for heart surgery and my order from April still hasn’t shipped…. He kept saying it’s coming it’s coming and 17 days ago he said it’d be shipped in a few days. I never heard back and reported him and his account got suspended today.
How do I get a refund for this? Do I file that through PayPal? I’ve never had to deal with this before but he’s never been this long without replying.

The internet is full of hyperbole but man they’re so good. Really. This album is more of their chill stuff but they rage. It’s gonna be awesome.

We moved into a house with central air after buying this 16,000 BTU beast unit for $500 plus a 5-year extended warranty from Best Buy at Crossgates. We used it one summer before moving last July.
My ask was $200, I will miss it because it made our third-floor studio apartment livable in a house that didn’t have ANY air-conditioning otherwise. It was brutal haha, without AC units up there the temperature usually hover about 85 to 88.

Hey team, I guess I learned my lesson to not pay independently off of Discogs because I got a bunch of Mortem original pressings from Peru and they are filllllllled with mold.
One of them is super strange and I can’t figure out what it is. There is a hole bored in the bottom of the jacket that goes up the insert where the insert has literally either been eaten away or disintegrated, and you can see on the jacket itself that the inner paper has been dissolved away or something to reveal a clear translucent outer covering to the jacket. The records themselves are covered in mold, and I think I just fucked my system by exposing it to this, because the mold is not super bright, and I only finally noticed it after I played some of them.
If any of you could tell me whether my collection is now at risk due to this mold, or if I can get sick from it, I would be greatly appreciative because the amount of mold on these records is triggering a germaphobic response in me that I’ve never experienced before in my life because I have never had to deal with mold on records like this.
It’s making me want to torch down my entire collection and get rid of all of it because I’m worried I’ve spread irreparable contamination to my rare records (I collect old death and black metal and have a lot of expensive stuff). Please talk me down from the ledge, this is very hard for me to deal with because I feel like since I touched it that now it’s going to be everywhere and it’s giving me a lot of anxiety.
It’s weird because the insert has like a brown frayed edge where the paper has been eaten away - could this have been a chemical burn? You can see where it went onto the inner sleeve but best I can tell the record is fine save for the egregious mold.
This is the best band that has been wholly consumed by obscurity. These kids made one demo in 2009 and I lost the files on my old computer.
The demo was called “The End of Christian Hypocrisy” and if you can find me that demo digitally, I will Venmo you $250. I am NOT playing around.
I made this video 15+ years ago, it’s the only studio track that exists online for this band now. I have a copy of the tape split that it’s on but it doesn’t sound as good as the source files that the band sent me years ago.

Okay, I don’t know if I’m just crazy but has this happened to anyone? We ordered Chinese on Tuesday night from Great Wall in Delmar because our normal go-to (Empire Wok) is closed on Tuesdays now. It had been a while but they’re super close so I said why not.
My girlfriend didn’t eat her lo mein that night which was weird but didn’t mention anything about it until we reheated it again last night.
As soon as it warmed in the microwave, it made the kitchen smell like cigarettes and an ash tray. Same with the flavor. I tried eating it - it was awful. I am aggressively NOT a picky eater and likely tolerate way more than I ever should in life (gotta love conflict-avoidance conditioning from childhood trauma right) but I literally couldn’t eat it, it was so gross.
I’m not even gonna bother going back to them cuz I threw it away and just want to move on and forget it but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience there? My gf seems to think it’s from the lo mein/soy sauce being burnt cuz we got it close to the end of the night (about 9:40 pickup on Tuesday, they close at 10)
EDIT - it’s now midnight Saturday/Sunday and I am sooooo nauseous. I think something was bad with this food. Been feeling off all day

Through a maze of phone calls and cancelled appointments, Dr. Roger eventually came over yesterday to help get Molson over the jump.
He was amazing. I cannot thank all of you enough who recommended him. He was graceful and gentle and his demeanor was just perfect.
We needed some shade and Molson always liked to look out our backyard gate towards the road and rail trail by Stewarts and the sun made it so that we could get him out on the driveway next to the house, facing where he always liked to look.
Before that, Molson got 3 hot dogs, a whole package of bacon, and saw 5 more of his human friends one last time. It was a good afternoon.
It’s just crazy - he literally had a giant, ulcerated necrotic wound, approximately 5x5” on his back leg but he acted truly and completely normal. He was excited and wagging his tail when Dr. Roger came over too, sitting for treats and just being good.
To give you a sense of what this cancer does to flesh, the turkey vultures were circling overhead in the backyard while people came and visited - the wound stunk that badly in the sun. If any of you are death metal fans, imagine a Cannibal Corpse album cover. Not even exaggerating, it was utterly fucked up and I’ll never get those images and smell out of my mind from changing his wound dressings. But he acted like NOTHING was wrong. I do not understand.
If you get hit with a Grade 3 Spindle Cell Sarcoma diagnosis, act fast. If you look at my first post, the photos are from May 7th. Those lumps were maybe a week-ish old at that point. So, it progressed to fully involved necrosis in what, fucking like 2 weeks? Just….. staggeringly fast.
Anyway, if you need to pick the day, Dr. Roger is your guy. Thank you, everyone.
Finally cracked open this Immortal 4x10” I got second-hand and when I took out the insert, it felt like it had sand or dirt or something on it. Shined the light and I’m pretty sure this is mold.
The records play with fucked up issues too - sounds like a cassette, and upon inspection it appears to be mold on them as well.
It’s a shame because it sounds incredible when it’s playing through clean grooves.
I don’t know how to write this but so many of you suggested Upstate Veterinary Specialties for Molson’s cancer I figured it was honorable to circle back and update.
Unfortunately last night a giant 4x4” patch of skin sloughed off, exposing the raw, gaping tumor tissue. We got him up to the Upstate ER today and they were great but unfortunately there is nothing to be done - there is no skin left to ever close the wound if they were to surgically remove the cancerous tissue.
He has a grade 3 spindle cell sarcoma. It’s one of the most aggressive cancers a dog can get, we’re told. The 2nd photo you see here was taken on May 7th and in one week it has progressed to what it is now - I cannot show pictures, it’s horrifying.
We’ve managed to cut thick heavy duty pee pads into makeshift bandages for now, to prevent blood staining our house. And he doesn’t seem to mind which is a small grace in this whole ordeal.
What makes this extra tragic is that his scans are clear - zero progression to the lungs where this cancer often goes next and then zero blockage of the anus for pooping, despite the growth being where it is. He runs on the rail trail, chases squirrels, wags his tail, eats, drinks, and gives kisses just like normal, but he’s got a gruesome open wound that is untreatable.
So…. Now we just pick the day.
Thank you for everyone who suggested Upstate. I’m glad we tried and got a 2nd opinion. The universe is unyieldingly cruel.
Dan Archer lives 5 mins away from me, I’m out walking my dog trying to give him some off-leash time before he goes, and Dan just rode by me on his bike. He’s a good dude. I’ve seen him boxing at the local YMCA. He used to buy his dog food from me at Healthy Pet Center.

Hey team - our dog Molson has a grade 3 spindle cell sarcoma tumor on his rear hind leg. It’s increasing in size overnight at an astonishing rate.
We had Delmar Animal Hospital remove it in the fall but it came back with a vengeance the last month or so. They tell us it’s inoperable again, but I call bullshit so I want a second opinion.
Mentally and literally otherwise, he’s totally fine - this tumor is just on his back leg and the worry is for when it begins impeding his ability to go to the bathroom.
The photos are a few days old now and it’s already bigger and today is the first day he’s not really eating; we just managed to get some bacon in him with gabapentin for his joints cuz he’s almost 11 but VERY active and just this week would fucking bolt to the rail trail for walks from our house.
Forgive my ranting but this shit is bullshit in the universe because he’s not a pure breed and we fed him good food his whole life; we make a pumpkin puree thing with broth and give it to him with his Nutrisource food. He had tons of room to play and long off-leash walks regularly.
I am a cat person 100% forever but Molson is the first dog I ever liked, he doesn’t deserve this and it’s fucking bullshit.
My mom wants to take him back on Monday to Delmar Animal Hospital but I imagine there must be someone who has more cancer speciality and a solution, if we can remove it or whatever.
