Should I leave my Audient iD14 MKII on all the time when I’m not using it?
I recently bought an Audient iD14 MKII and I’m really happy with it. It’s connected to my PC using a USB-C to USB-A cable because my computer doesn’t have a USB-C port.
When I shut down my PC, I noticed that the Audient stays powered on and never turns off. Should I disconnect it when I’m not using it? I’m worried that leaving it on all the time could damage it over time or cause overheating.
Or is it completely fine to leave it connected and powered on all the time?
Finally got them and I’m really happy! 😃 My first pair of professional headphones: Sony MDR-7506. Paired with my Audient iD14 MKII, I think they’ll make a great combo 🎧

Sony MDR-7506 or ATH-M40x, which one should I start with for music production?
I recently bought my first audio interface, the Audient iD14 MKII, and I’m really excited to start getting into music production. My goal is to produce, record, and mix my own compositions, so I want to invest in a good pair of studio headphones to build a solid foundation from the beginning.
Right now I’m deciding between the Sony MDR-7506 and the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x. I don’t have previous experience with monitoring headphones, so I’d really appreciate advice on which one would be the better option for someone just starting out but looking for good quality from the start.
What if one night you woke up and everything in your house felt… off.
The only thing you have with you is your phone, and the date says September 10th, 2001, 11:00 PM.
You’re an American citizen. Outside, everything seems completely normal and peaceful. Then suddenly, you remember the tragedy that will happen in just a few hours.
What’s the very first thing you do?
Be careful…not everyone is going to believe you.

I currently have this setup:

Storage 1: Kingston NV1 500GB NVMe SSD (Windows + programs)
Storage 2: Kingston 1TB SATA SSD

My main reason for upgrading is long-term stability because I’m music producer and because in the future I plan to buy a dedicated graphics card for gaming
