About 10 years ago, I picked up a backpack while we were in Bandung in Indonesia. The tag just says "frunk", I’ve searched and I've never been able to find a single thing about a company or brand by that name. Fast forward today, and this bag has been through everything with me. I've used it daily for biking, hauled way too many heavy grocery runs in it, and taken it on travels everywhere. I’ve definitely pushed it way past what it was designed to hold, but it’s still going completely strong. It’s been a really wholesome reminder to me that true "Buy It For Life" quality doesn't always come with a huge price tag or a famous brand logo behind it.

I’d love to hear some of your stories—do you have any hidden gem products from totally unknown or local brands that turned out to be absolute tanks?

Ilustrator asal Depok, Tsaqif Baihaqi, kembali terlibat dalam penggarapan video musik Ariana Grande, Petal. Sebelumnya ia sempat menggarap artwork di lagu Hate that I Made You Love Me.

Kata Tsaqif, ini menjadi pesanan ulang dari Ariana Grande. Untuk proyek kali ini dia mengerjakan tipografi dan matte painting.

"Ini masuknya repeat order ya. lya tipografi sama matte painting aja mas buat kebutuhan music video," tutur Tsaqif kepada kumparan.

Tsaqif juga menceritakan soal inspirasi dari proyek yang dia kerjakan untuk single terbaru Ariana Grande. Katanya, artwork tersebut terinspirasi dari beberapa film.

"Font sama matte painting-nya sama-sama terinspirasi dari film Alfred Hitchcock," tutur Tsaqif.

"Fontnya terinspirasi dari film Psycho, kalau matte painting dari North by Northwest," tambahnya.

Lebih lanjut, proses pengerjaan proyek tersebut terbilang cukup singkat. Kata Tsaqif, artwork tersebut dikerjakan selama 7 hari.

"Kira-kira pengerjaan 7 hari termasuk revisi dan feedback," tandasnya.

Music video Petal telah dirilis sejak seminggu. Selama seminggu, video tersebut sudah ditonton sebanyak lebih dari 16 juta kali.
