I used lots of yarn scraps to make a baby blanket. Length of the rows were mostly determined by how much yarn I had. Though I was really focused on making it look random. 😂

It’ll soon be a year since I’ve bought any yarn, have to make it to September. I’m pretty much out of acrylic yarn now, but I still have plenty of cotton to last me until then.

I’d been looking for a way to make it visual and to keep me motivated. This is very simple, but I hope it’ll work. Who doesn’t love coloring a little box?

The colors represent different categories, like groceries, online purchases and other.
I’m not including bills and automatic payments like subscriptions or transportation. It has to be my decision to purchase something. Green means no spending, so my goal is to see as many green boxes as possible. I have some stickers lying around, maybe I can use those for extra motivation. Like if I get a streak. 😉😂

I planted all kinds of seeds in spring and put everything out on my balcony. Built this trellis with bamboo sticks and rope. It’s so exciting to see everything grow and tonight I get to eat something I grew myself. I’ve been picking cucumbers for a few weeks now. Yesterday, I made tzatziki for the first time ever.

I’d prefer the courgette a little bit bigger, but I figured it’s probably best to pick it now so the other fruits get energy from the plant and they can grow bigger. I’ll have the plenty more this summer.

So far I’ve had no luck propagating this pachira. I’m confused about where I’m supposed to cut it. I have 2 cuttings that have been sitting in water for 2 months, but nothing is happening. 2 others in soil since mid April. I can feel they’ve catched on, so there must be some roots, but there’s no sign of growth.

Just picked these cucumbers from my balcony. Bringing them to work as a snack for this afternoon. Might show them off a little bit. 😊😇

My cucumber plants are thriving and I’ve picked several cucumbers in the past week. There’s plenty of new cukes waiting to be fertilized, but the male flowers simply don’t open anymore. What’s up with that? There were 2 male flowers and it’s been days now. I have to do it by hand because I don’t get many bees up here, or other flying creatures. Don’t mind doing it, but how can I if I don’t get acces? I think it’ll be a while before I get new male flowers, don’t see any popping up for now.

Extra info: this is a balcony and they get plenty of sunlight everyday. The plants are behind glass here and I water them every day. It’s very hot now, so these days they get water twice a day if needed.

I grew these plants from seeds all by myself. Thrilled to see them grow and it looks like I’ll have a whole lot more. We have a couple of warm and sunny days coming. Cucumber salad, cucumber water, tzatziki, maybe make my own pickles 🤔

These are both courgette plants. As you can see, one is thriving and the other is really struggling. It’s still alive, but not growing. How can I help him/her/them? I grew them both from seeds and they get the same treatment. By balcony is on the east side and gets a lot of sunlight. Other plants like tomatoes and cucumbers are going great up here.

ETA: the linings of the grow bags have holes so the water can escape if needed.
