Warehousing Business

I am starting an import/distribution wholesale company for auto parts. Has anyone done a similar business in the logistics/warehousing world?

- I’m coming close to hiring my first employee, what advice do you have and/or lessons learned? How did you set them up for success?

Thank you all 🙂

PHONE ADVICE - E2

What do people do with their Canadian phone plan? I’m with Roger’s on a 2-year finance plan and my phone is due for an upgrade. Either I pay $500-700 to keep the phone or I lock in another 2-year plan and I cancel early when I want to move to Florida next year and still pay $500-700 of the remaining device balance

Business bank account question ‼️

Pending review of my Bank of America business account. Since my credit history in USA is minimally present, how have you guys gotten a business credit card and how do you make business purchases? Do you buy things through your personal credit cards or do you have good enough credit to personally back the approval of a business credit card?

Any information is helpful!!

ADVICE! I-130 application with E2?

Hi all,

My wife and I are submitting our package to the attorney for our E2 visa in March 2027. I also filed an I130 as a married child of a permanent resident last year in March 2025. My attorney has given me a wishy-washy answer and that it can’t guarantee to be affecting my E2 application with the dual intent but at the same time it could be something that the officer doesn’t like.

My wife and I’s actual goals is to be permanent and she is a chemical engineer who will be my E2 spouse, but then will eventually adjust her status to be sponsored by an employer for a green card. So with that, we have a quicker green path card, which is her employer, as opposed to my I-130 application anyway and I wouldn’t be opposed to withdrawing it.

Looking for advice here, would you withdraw the I-130??

NEW or USED HEAVY DUTY TRUCK?

I’m looking to get into a heavy-duty truck and trying to decide between new vs used. I’m looking for something with higher-end features like ventilated seats, 360 camera, HUD, premium interior, etc.

Trims I’m considering:

Ford F-250 King Ranch/Lariat

Silverado 2500 ZR2

Sierra 2500 Denali/AT4

Ideally I’d like something used with 40k miles or less, but I’m open to new if the deal makes sense. I’ll be financing, and I’m trying to avoid spending $80k+ and financing that much on a truck.

For those who have bought recently, would you recommend going used for a higher trim or trying to negotiate a new one? Any specific years/trims/dealers I should look at?

Looking for something comfortable for daily driving but still capable as a work/business truck. Thanks!

2027 Business Truck Purchase: F-250 Lariat vs Sierra 2500 AT4 vs Silverado 2500 ZR2?

Moving to Florida in March 2027 to start an electrical distribution/import business and looking at getting a truck for the Section 179 deduction.

I’ve always been a Ford guy (currently have a ‘25 F-150 Lariat) and really like Ford’s interior, tech, and user interface. I also love the large panoramic sunroof on the Fords - the GM HD sunroof option seems pretty small in comparison.

I’m considering a Silverado 2500 ZR2, Sierra 2500 AT4, or F-250 Lariat. The F-250 King Ranch is my dream truck, but a new one is probably out of budget. The F-250 Lariat is appealing, but the price is definitely higher than the GM options.

Needs:
\- Gas engine (no diesel)
\- Occasional towing (6,000-10,000 lbs)
\- 360 camera, ventilated seats, HUD preferred
\- Open to new or used

Since I won’t be buying until 2027, would you wait for better incentives on newer models? What truck would you recommend?
