Macrame family tree suggestion

I would like to create a family tree with macrame leaves. I only know basic. What material is best for the work? Also easy techniques for leaves (but sturdy to last a while) if you know any?. It is a family request but been kinda putting this off for a while as I am unsure of which is best. Thanks in advance.

Cooking wild vegetables in fresh coconut for dinner!

Lush and plenty of wild vegetables at the moment, so I am taking advantage of that. I have ground elder, dandelion, plantain, wild strawberry, and a strand of my grape vine here for some tang. This dish is very nutritious. I find them really nice in coconut dishes. Make sure your ID is correct.

Spent hours doing my elderflower last night because my 10-litre jar of cordial burst and went all over the kitchen floor. 😭 I was just about to taste and bottle it as well… really gutted.

Spent hours mopping and scooping sticky syrup off the kitchen floor and rinsing everything out was hard work. Lesson learned: don’t use a metal spoon in a glass jar.

Now I’ve got to see if I can find more elderflowers, which I thought I’d already picked the last of. Have you still got elderflowers around yours?

Studies confirm it: Women are being medically gaslit and dismissed far too often, has this happened to you?

I could not believe it when I saw this research that women are still so often dismissed and end up downplaying their own symptoms even in 2026.

Why Proper Potato Storage Matters More Than Most People Realise: Lessons from a Tragic Incident

I’m curious how people here store their potatoes. Do you have a way that is satisfactory for long-term use? Recently, I was alerted to this unusual incident involving potatoes being kept in an unventilated basement, which made question about it's long term storage. I also learned about solanine in potatoes increasing when they are either green, sprouted or inappropriately stored. So, how do you store your potatoes?

My sister in California managed to snap this street kitty camouflaging itself on a car wheel. hmm...not the best idea! I actually had to take a second glance at the photo she sent because I couldn't see the cat at first. 😹 Always check your wheels before driving, as there might be a kitty hiding!

Hogweed Florets, Young Leaf and Stem Fritters

I absolutely love common hogweed, Heracleum sphondylium. I like it as fritters. You can basically eat most parts of the plant. For the harder stems, I peel the outer layer, and they are just as nice as the young ones. I also include the young tender leaves, and the young florets are nice too.

Evolution Acceptance Is Now the Majority View in the U.S., Long-Term Data Shows

American attitudes toward evolution have markedly shifted over 35 years in response to changing public opinion. A national analysis of survey data on evolution shows that there has been a substantial shift among Americans from being roughly equally for and against evolution to an overwhelming majority now in favour of the theory. This represents one of the most dramatic changes in the scientific outlook on this issue in recent history.

A friendly kitty along my way in Kingham, England. She looked lonely, but after I petted her, her eyes lit up. I think it is nice to give these kitties some love, especially when they are looking lonely.
