hello queens,

I want to make it clear how important it is to stand up for fellow minorities in our community. this sub is a place of inclusivity and love and has no place for people invalidating each others thoughts on representation and equality.

if you see the storm controversy and cannot wrap your head around why people are upset, read, listen and educate yourself before you try to invalidate people’s feelings on the subject.

the storm controversy, for those out of the loop, is around her beach skin being given epic quality, meaning less frills, attention to detail, and bonuses than the predominately white women that have been given legendary tier skins.

isolated, this is both annoying and unfair, there’s no arguing that. but this becomes even more egregious when we look at how black people, especially women, are treated in not only rivals, not just media as a whole, but in everyday life as well. black women are routinely getting the short end of the stick in terms of representation and equality. this is indisputable fact

storm’s treatment is just a symptom and another common occurrence indicative of the reality in which black women face DAILY. if you cannot grasp this, open your heart and ears to those that are affected and see that this is more than just a skin debate, it is the unfortunate reality of living as a black woman. we should be advocating for minorities across the board to feel more seen, even in ways you might perceive as small, it can and usually does mean something more to members of that group.

lift each other up and recognize that change comes from people raising their voices, and stifling or invalidating any minorities call to be more seen and represented is the exact evil conservative agenda that would see you silenced as well.

will Rocketina muster up the courage to reveal herself to Jimothy? Will Jimothy learn about his mutant genes before they awaken? is Jimothy ever going to learn the identity of his father? and could it be someone we know?
