I recently went to Biri Island in Northern Samar, Philippines. I have been to many beautiful islands in the Philippines and I'm very much familiar with the usual mandated fees per province.

CORRUPTION #1:
In Biri Island, you CAN'T CONTACT YOUR OWN GUIDE. I was told by Municipality of Biri Tourism that if my contact is not yet the assigned guide for the day's roster, then I should pay the guide fee (P1200/person) for each guide which will be skipped.

Ex. If Guide "Mark" is number 10 in the roster, then I should pay the 9 other guides before him. The reason given by Biri Tourism office is to ensure equality among the guides.

CORRUPTION #2
They do not issue official receipt. They also have a mandatory service operator fee worth P624 per person on top of the P1000 habal-habal fee and P1200 guide fee. The service operator fee is forced when I arrived by the Tourism office. I contacted my own guide hence I dont understant what this service operator fee is for. Upon checking, the owner of this tour operations is the MAYOR HERSELF - Amelita Delos Reyes!

I'm a breadwinner on my late 30s, single, no kids, no romantic interests. Just a family na walang pake, nanay na narcissist and 2 loving dogs.

I have hypochondria (medical-anxiety). At first akala ko dahil lang sa pandemic. Pero when I consulted my psychologist, natatakot ako magkasakit kasi alam ko walang mag-aalaga sakin pag nagkasakit ako. Yung tipong hirap na hirap na na, wala man lang care sayo.

I used to fear death. Ngayon ok na, tapusin na lang natin to para matuto sila magbanat ng buto. Kahit naman mamatay ako wala silang pake.

Yun lang gusto ko sabihin. I was once at 60 kgs for my height. Normal bmi. Ngayon nasa 110 kgs na ko. Plano ko mamatay na. Yoko na.

I’ve been reading through the FAQ and investment discussions here, but I’m still struggling to understand what a reasonable starting strategy looks like for someone who:
- Has limited knowledge of investing
- Doesn’t want to actively manage a portfolio
- Prefers a low-maintenance approach
- Is focused on long-term wealth building rather than quick returns

I’ve come across recommendations for MP2, digital banks, UITFs, mutual funds, index funds, and ETFs, but I’m having trouble understanding how people decide among these options.

For someone who is relatively risk-averse and prefers a “set and forget” approach, how would you think about allocating money across different investment vehicles?

What factors should I consider when deciding between:
Keeping funds in high-yield savings accounts
Investing in MP2

I’d appreciate hearing how experienced investors would approach building a simple, beginner-friendly investment strategy.

Any thoughts? Been trying to check Accenture thread pero parang wala atang balita about this line. Anyone from this thread who can tell me good and not-so-pleasant experiences? I'm seriously considering moving to Accenture kasi maganda naman ung offer compared to my current.

Wala kaming pambili ng aircon at additional electric fan. 3 na yung electric fan na nakatutok pero grabe ung buga napakainit pa din.

Napakainit po. Hindi na kaya ng bulsa maglagay ng additional na aircon. Yung electric fan naman, mainit na din talaga yung buga kahit 3 pa ung nakatututok. Maglagay ba ko ng ceiling fan? Insulator? Ano pa po pwede?
