One of my most unusual finds, today
Often I find nothing, sometimes I find amazing things. Other times... I can do nothing but laugh. No, I didn't keep it.

Someone was planning to stay in my City of Chicago home from 8/7 through 8/17, but abruptly canceled just 7 days out. Trying to see if I can find someone to stay in my lovely 2-bedroom home with a garden for at least some of that time so my plants don't die. I live at a tri-point of 3 of Chicago's trendiest neighborhoods and there's fresh produce in the backyard!
FWIW, shipping costs are only 12.99 to here now, but that’s still a lot, and it was still only 12.99 when I tried adding 4 things to the cart. If you live in/near Chicago, let’s go in on an order together and share shipping!
Can you make friends if you put in a bit of effort? Is the demographic overwhelmingly parental? Are there transplants or is it overwhelmingly native Poughkeepsie folks? Is it understood that you have to go to NYC for any city-specific fun, or is there an effort towards entertainment in PK too?
There’s a Sbemail where Strong Bad says something like “Look who’s barely passable” or something along those lines to the Cheat. We’re trying to remember what the quote was or what the Sbemail was. Anyone able to help us out? Please and thanks!!
I love writing elaborate and humorous posts and comments. I love r/VXJunkies and similar communities, and I loveeee getting shittymorphed. There have been so many times that I’ve wanted to do something similar, but I’ve only been on Reddit a little less than a decade and I’m wondering if it would be poorly received. Any thoughts?
Plates intentionally containing “KYS” or “KMS” or similar phrases at mod discretion will be removed. Repeated offenses will result in permbans. Reddit TOS do not mess around with this kind of thing.
I’m hosting my very first house show in my garden this Friday (had a professionally made poster designed and everything), but Chicago weather is calling for thunderstorms in the evening and I’m kinda just assuming it’s unlikely I’m gonna get to host the show as it is (I know weather can change suddenly, but I need to prep for the worst).
I’m looking into what it would take financially to get tents up (it’s just gonna make this so much more expensive than I was hoping since I’m paying each artist $80 and the poster cost me about $100 in total). I don’t know if that will help against wind and keeping the power safe, and it might just result in rain noise drowning everything out. What have other folks done against the Chicago elements when hosting backyard shows?
