I ❤️ reading about trans men who struggle and persevere to be their true selves with as much effort and heart as we, trans women, do. It is SO affirming and bonding.

Our road is not the same but I often liken it to two cars on the same odd highway passing each other in opposite directions.

It feels to me like the world ignores AFAB trans ppl as ‘less noxious’ or at least maybe ‘benign’ while assuming every AMAB is a predator or a cheater; using trans as a cover to creep on chicks in locker rooms or set sports records. 🤦‍♀️ 🤢. Full disclosure I’m a TW so this is my perspective and may be way off.

I don’t say this to any trans person bc they don’t need it said but NO ONE WOULD CHOOSE TO BE TRANS! NO ONE!!! (Though, AS ONE, I’d never accept being cis even if it was offered…Trans4Life 🫶🏳️‍⚧️) And as many trans folx as their are “out”? There are likely 10x more that are trans but would rather die in the closet than deal with ‘this’ shit 💩. 😭

I know… not a big deal for most of you all but for ME!? OMG it was 🤯

I was at a bar by myself for like an hour. Had dinner. A man, quite handsome imo, was at the end there and as he paid his check he told the bartender to buy me a drink. She delivered the gift.

I decided - w a not small audience - to go over and personally thank him (and expose my voice 😩 up front and personal). He was sweet. Said he had a wife! Awww. And me being the hussy I am I flirted just a lil bit. His digits came only faster than his hands 😮😂. I left his card on the bar btw.

I then went to my new loc haunt a dive bar near me and it’s so affirming. They yell my name when i walk in and cleared a seat for me. It is so fun being a lady. Crowded by men i never paid for a drink. No one ever asked me for my number or even got handsy. It was…nice. I kept my voice in check (i think?) for hours.

This was the most affirming day I’ve felt in a while. 🌈💗💕😘🫶

Quick summary?

Wagler showed up FR and early (10 pts in 1Q). He looked like the star he is and finally found his groove. He’ll be the story but until halfway thru the 3rd quarter Pedulla was the standout. Then Omeir hit 3s and controlled the middle, then Baba.

Wagler (26P/4R/2A) played exactly as he has only his shots fell (9/19). He drove the lane. He hit the 3. He created plays. He forced turnovers. He proved himself worthy of the 5th pick. Finally. IMO. He left the game after a slip on the floor but came right back. .

Omier (20P/15R/5A) hit 3s (2) and 80% from field and his big body inside was impressive on and off the ball. He held his own a Zikowski (sp? 7’3”) which was a feat. He looked good both ways. He controlled the game.

IMO, Pedulla (24P/5R/11A) was the player of the game for the Clips. He just was “butter” shooting, passing, and playing. He looks like he’s been playing NBA ball for years. I wish he had 2 more inches but I think it doesn’t matter. He “games” and doesn’t know he’s short.

Baba Miller (15P/4R/6A) in only 20 mins showed he’s the real deal again. Too fast, runs the court, D is for real. His opportunities I feel were fewer than in prior games.

Martinelli shot 7/8 and 18 pts but he looked iso not included in the mix. He made his numbers happens.

Conclusion: Wagler can breath easy. Pedulla and Omier are getting contracts. Baba and Wagler are our future.

He still doesn’t believe he belongs. It takes him 3Qs every game before he finds his game.

16 PP 6/4 Reb/A w only one TO is solid but it doesn’t describe the game. He looked like a kid pretending to be pro…reminds me of the Matrix where Morpheus has Neo in a fighting simulator and says “do you really think that is air in here”? Bro just needs to believe. Which is inevitable bc he is real.

That said he is fast and tall and makes good plays and shots. Yet his speed is sloppy his plays are often not acknowledged and his shots go wide (bc of nerves or taking new designed shots [my theory]). IMO he feels like he doesn’t deserve it. He is THE ONE but can’t be told (Matrix).

His recognition came on too quick after he was just ballin. All of a sudden he went from dud to stud. And the media is happy to remind him of who he was and that he doesn’t belong.

He’s got time but if he does nothing this season he’ll lose the owner/GM/media’s attention.

The GOOD

Baba Miller, hit a 50’ 3-ptr, physical, passer, playmaker, fast. He did it all. He’s for real.

Martinelli, is a Kurt Rambis “junkyard dog” that can actually play ball. He’s gonna be a Clipper for a while. I love his play.

K Wagler, awful half but once he remembered who he was started dropping 3s. His passing and driving inspired me. His D looked good too.

Pedulla, has a great shot -quick draw - and tenacious D. So small but rem coach Ty Lue was same. Anyway he has great sub potential

The BAD
Christie - he was incredibly selfish and never passed. Took every bad shot given and too many of them. It seemed he is feeling under threat and handled it horribly. IMO.

K Sanders - He played well and shot well but not as a team. Like Christie when he got the ball he shot it no matter how awful it was. It seemed desperate to me.

The UGLY
Peterson - yeah his stats look respectable if you ignore FG%, turnovers and bad fouls. As bad as Wagler was in shooting in the first half (and it was 😬), Petersons shot selection and hacking D (tho intense and I see Kawhi talent there) was as bad but never stopped. It’ll cost games but he’ll still put up 20 a night so yeah.

Summer League game format - OMG this is barbaric. Foul as often as you like and we won’t call most of them, WTF is going on? Add desperate players seeking to get starting PT and those trying to save their careers and yeah. It was slop ball and dangerous tbh.

I have a consultation and am flying halfway across the country to see this doc. Not much on him and nothing in the wiki.

Sailing on Hindu at 3 and dining at Liz’s Cafe at 5:30. Would love to sit on a sand dune or a beach or sea wall and watch the show w/o the drama.

I like the moves this offseason and am on board w the long runway Larry’s set up - draft picks (long time LAC fan ‘what ARE those’?) - but our big men suck and are thin gruel.

I have faith. Interested to see if they have a plan for this.
