Metal detecting for the first time tomorrow

Just purchased the vanquish 440, and I’m wondering what pinpointer to pair it with

I already stretched my budget with the 440, getting it at $210, so the pin pointer needs to be “cheap”. I can’t make the jump to the carrot or pro pointer, so I’m looking on Amazon. The Dr Otek IP68 looks promising at $37 with good reviews. Seems the biggest issue is that it dies quick or it eats the batteries, but backup batteries would solve that.

eBay has this listing for 50 with a ton of stock which is confusing cause I thought this model was more expensive: Garrett 1142200 Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk Waterproof Pinpointer Metal Detector

A few local options would be the PI king 750 for 40 or a Garrett super scanner for 50 which I think is used for security…

Unexpected Surprise

well I can say I immediately lost my appetite

never have done an update really on Reddit, so let me know if I did this wrong.

i ended up going back to the CFA and showing them the sandwich. i was given a new sandwich and the manager took a look at the sandwich, sighed and immediately left to call someone but not sure who exactly since i had to leave as i was volunteering for an event. going to email/report on the website and will try to post a follow up when/if they reply.
