New Steam Controller arriving tonight. Who has tried Classic WoW with the controller add-on?

I’m curious how difficult it would be to do the following:
* move character (WASD, strafe, and 360)
* target enemies
* use skills/spells on target
* use buffs (self)
* use buffs (friendly party members)
* loot

In my head I just can’t imagine it but maybe in a non-hardcore Classic WoW TBC (current anniversary servers) it might be a cool place to try it out.

I’m content in using my new Steam controller for other games but since I caught wind of the controller add-on now I’m thinking about it.

New player on Full realm. Moon Guard RP or one of the many Full servers (Illidan, Mal’Ganis, Proudmoore, etc.)?

I LOVE busy and active servers with bustling cities, people all over the place.

I just created my trial account and it wanted to put me on a “new players” server.

Instead I loaded the realm list and see many Full servers and only 1 RP.

Should I pick the RP for Luls or any of the other Full servers. Any recommendations for which one?

Warsong sounds cool to me. Stormrage also. There’s a bunch.

Edit: I forgot to mention I will play Human Warrior so at least the alliance thing checks out for Moon Guard. Maybe I’ll try to see the RP. I just want a high pop realm.

Gentlemen, we can agree these pants are about an inch too short, yes?

They are Bonobos “Monday” pant in length 30.

I am 5’11” and usually buy length 32 pants and then tailor them a bit, like a quarter break? I’m assuming that’s somewhere around a 31 but since most retailers sell 30 or 32, so I buy the 32 and hem them.

In the future, I’ll be switching to pleated high-rise pants but looking for feedback on this old pair.

I believe it is too short.

Is it possible to thrift clothes that are only a few years old?

Ok everyone. I know you are all hesitant and don’t want to do it, so I will be brave and nominate myself.

I will become the next Mads Mikkelsen, dripped out in Zegna exceptional tailoring and fabric excellence.

But the ~40 year old bald version.

One problem: luxury clothing, even the nice quiet luxury kind, are obscenely expensive.

Is it possible to thrift clothes that are only a few years old, or is thrifting mainly reserved for older stuff (10+ or older)?

Can Splatoon 3 be played like a Halo game, with skill expression and playstyles, or is everyone focused on paint coverage? (serious)

Serious replies only please.

Hi everyone. First I want to say that the art style in Splatoon is SO COOL. It’s incredibly unique.

I am curious if this game’s competitive play is based 100% around dropping paint, or if there are people who specialize in different playstyles?

For example, can you train 100% of your time on being a hunter type of character that knocks out the opponent, so that your teammates can focus on paint coverage? Am I talking crazy?

I’m trying to understand where the skill expression in this game is and how it presents itself.

Thinking about either getting a used Xbox Series S (~$200) or a Steam Deck.

Can a Steam Deck basically work like a console if I dock it to a monitor/TV and use an Xbox controller or Steam controller?

Main games I’d play are Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Halo, Forza, Gears, indie games. Day 1 I’m starting a FFXIV trial.

Which would you recommend for overall value and flexibility right now? I’m waiting for more information about Project Helix and Steam Machine.

Hey I am considering picking up a used Series S as a stop-gap until Steam Machine vs Project Helix clarity is available.

Market prices are around $200 used (after some negotiating), which seems like a bargain.

This gets me access to FFXIV (mmorpg I want to play the trial of), my love of elder scrolls and fallout games, and revisiting titles I missed across halo, gears, forza, fable, and a bit more.

My hesitation is the power reduction of the Series S and, with my understanding that Series X on the comparison website says 12 teraflops and native 4K, 4 teraflops and 1440p for Series S. Forza Horizon 6 is reportedly going to be 60 fps 1080p on performance mode. I will ALWAYS opt for performance mode in games over quality mode.

So does that mean it will be 1080p native but upscale in a clean way to be 1440p and look fine on my 1440p computer monitor?

Or will it stretch in a bad way.

I was a physical media buyer for a while, but in Switch 2 era switched to Digital. As a PC gamer, this switch happened even earlier with Steam.

I find some third party games get sold at low prices (thanks Dekudeals!) but Nintendo will keep their first party games at $40 or more for digital, hardly ever going lower.

In Contrast, for Xbox, it seems with Game Pass we will always get first party titles at low prices or directly accessible with the subscription. This is amazing. How about third party older games. Are the sales good or do you find the prices high?

I’m looking to browse the games while I try to pick up a used Series S (to hold over until Helix generation).

I’m looking at Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma but truth be told I’m not sure where to buy individual pieces of cookware.

I am used to buying in big sets but we already have a number of pieces as we transitioned slowly away from nonstick to stainless steel.

The target right now is smaller saucepans with lids, and sauté pan:

* 1.3-quart

* 2.7-quart

* 3.6-quart (for sauté).

Cooking and clean up have been easier, especially compared to the “nonstick” pans we keep buying and replacing after 2 years when they get scratched or no longer work as true “nonstick”.

Not sure what the deal is with those pans but they just stop being effective as “nonstick” products after a while.
