How do i avoid having the brake cable scuff the frame?

My Trek Emonda has this annoyingly placed cable inlet for the rear brake. I imagine it would be great if you had the rear brake at the left hand, but like most others, I use right for rear.

That means the cable is scuffing up the carbon/lacquer, which isn’t nice.

Any way to fix this?

How do you find a good bike fitter?

I want a bikefit, and want someone very skilled at it.

To gauge who was good around where I live, I posted in a local cycling group about who to use, with a few requirements because of my weird body.

There’s as many recommendations as there are comments. Almost no one recommends someone anyone else recommends. I’d hoped to see a pattern and pick the one mentioned the most, but no.

So, how do you filter through to the right one? I imagine there’s a great difference between the best and the worst

Cervelo R3 dura Ace 2009, or Specialized Crux E5 2016 with Carbon wheels?

I’m buying a bike for my wife, who wants to step toes into cycling. She mainly wants some enjoyable longer rides with a bit of off roading, but without spending much. Both these bikes are in the lower end of what second hand bikes costs here, and both are in good condition.

One is obviously much older, 10 speed, but cervelo is known for being good. The other is alloy but carbon wheels, quick release and disc, and cable actuated brakes. So oldest of the disc bikes.

Both are about the same size geometry wise, and does fit (by testing on a hometrainer).

What would you go with?

Plan is to have something for a year or so, before buying something better/newer

Hvad fanden gør man??

I did my firstt long ride of the year today, which was the first ride on a new bike as well. And now my thighs are in agony from the chafing that has caused.

I used to ride a Selle Italia SLR, which never chafed. I’m currently using a Syncros Belcarra v 2.0 on my new bike, which chafes. Same issue on the saddle stock on the Zwift ride, which also chafes

I’ve never used Chamois cream, could that be the issue instead

I cook rice about 4-5 times a week, and have decided to buy a Zojirushi (or if there’s better options today).

Because of how much I use it, I want to spend however much i need to get the best of the best. But, I of course don’t want to spend extra on features I won’t use (I never cook anything but Jasmin, basmati, and sushi rice).

What cooker is best? There’s so many options, and I don’t understand what each does.

I mostly cook 180g, but will on rare occasions go up to 600g (but I’d rather get a smaller unit and cook the larger batches on the stove that one or two times a year).

I’m in EU if that matters for model
