AC tune-up
Our AC is working fine but it's not keeping up with the afternoon heat. I've contacted two local companies but neither can get to me until September (!). Does anyone know of a company that isn't swamped?

Will their 9x18 "Ultra" ammo function safely in a Mak or CZ82? What up with Ultra?
This is from Thriftbooks.com (highly recommended, no connection). It is the order of the series with the novellas spliced into the order.
One problem. It doesn't include Nobody Walks or The Secret Hours, which were written in that order.
What should I take into consideration? Is horsepower everything?
Did I miss it? Was it ever explained why Sid told River that she'd been sent to SH to keep an eye on him?
Was it ever explained how Molly Doran lost her legs? I think I'm confusing her with another female character in another series, who lost her legs in a car bomb meant for someone else.
Third (and last) bag in a row with no flavor. $5.49 for 9 1/4 ounces of bland.
An Air Force pilot, a Navy pilot, and a Marine Corps pilot escaped from a North Vietnamese prison together. They were on the run together but they could hear the dogs and guards getting closer. They got to a tree. The AF pilot was gasping, "I can't go any farther, I'll climb up this tree and take my chances." The other two ran on. When the dogs and guards circled the tree the pilot called out "kakaw kakaw!" They thought it was just a bird and kept chasing.
The remaining two pilots ran on and on. Finally they reached a tree. The Navy guy said "I'm done. I'll climb this tree and take my chances. Good luck!" The Marine ran on alone. When the dogs and guards circled the tree the Navy escapee made squirrel sounds (hey, it's a joke, okay?). They were fooled and ran after the Marine.
The Marine gave it all he had but when he reached a tree he knew it was his only chance and climbed to the top. When the dogs and guards circled the tree he called out "MOO!"
Who can't (supposedly) be killed? My list in no particular order:
Lamb
River
Tavener
Judd
Catherine
Ho
Louisa?
Ho just because he's such an easy target for Lamb. Catherine because she's only foil in the House.
...something inside the sack was wiggling. A man stopped him and asked what was in the sack.
"My puppies, see?" The man says "Those are some very cute puppies, what are their names?"
"That's Fido, and that is Spot, and that one is Liberace." "Liberace! That's an odd name for a puppy. Why Liberace?"
"He's the pianist of the bunch."
But I've never seen to TV show and don't know how they mesh with the books. And though I'm just starting Bad Actors, it doesn't look like I'm going to get my answers for at least another book.
One thing I know for sure is that you don't want to be one of Herron's characters. It's like everyone but alamb is the unnamed red shifted guy on Star Trek.
A friend gave my wife a $25 RR gift card. Apparently that will cover the price of one burger. But how are they?
We have a 5 year old LG fridge that has quit cooling. It has power and we unplugged/plugged it in as recommended by LG to reset it. Their diagnostic app says nothing is is wrong. Wrong! I suspect it is the condenser.
Can anyone recommend a good repair person?
I bought a Worx snowblower that has proven to be worthless due to the battery having no useful life.
When my gas mower crapped itself I went with ego, could not be happier. I had heard the the self-propelled function could be problematic. So I got non-SP for our small yard and could not be happier.
Now, as to snowblowers. How is the SP function on them? Reliable? How necessary is it?
What else should I be considering? What is the best month to buy, price wise?
Commemorative postal cover time and date canceled at 8am, 7 December, 1941 at Aiea post office, about 1mile from Pearl Harbor. This was canceled as the opening bombs were falling.
I just learned about this today, it was a clue on Jeopardy!
Today we went to a free showing of the subject documentary. It was in support of the Space Museum and Grissom Center.
It is currently in 5,000 sq ft in Bonne Terre, MO. They are looking for 50,000 sq ft. The city of St. Charles, MO has offered them 20,000 sq ft and it looks like the move is going to happen.
Back to the documentary. It is a first class production and I recommend it to everyone. It runs about an hour and hits on all of the US space programs, Mercury through Artemis, but it focuses on the Apollo I disaster.
