Especially in light of Chapter 16 and what happens to Amber... that'd be bound to break many people here.

Thoughts?

I'm wondering this since it seems to have a bad rep due to leaving some grunts and yells in the original Japanese that was present since Rebuild, but I'm wondering if there's still merit in their voice acting and such.

So far, the most common candidates are Kaina, Variya, and Zenos, and I can see the benefit of some of these.

Kaina would be a suitable final boss in a thematic sense, where you use all your power to prove her philosophy wrong. Zenos would be a suitable final boss in a meta sense since it's when Paragon and Renegade collide that show which version of the protagonist would be the most superior. As for Variya, likely one as in to take down the greater scope villain who had a hand on this mess.

While yeah, I too was frustrated by the rather bleak ending the volume ended with but, given the themes of still pushing forward and still going for the best that the games goes for and accomplishes time and time again... Don't you think that thinking that the game will no longer end on a happy note and even saying it's worth not continuing play in Kaina's philosophy, when the point is that she must be proven wrong in every way possible?

Namely, that it has a mixed of new and established talent. For me, the dubs of Pluto and Record of Ragnarok are the standouts from that.

Given that it's been mentioned that there will be 4 endings, 2 for Renegade, 2 for Paragon, I can see both having a "true ending" that lead to each other and in the case of Paragon, there may be one ending where the heroes win at last but the remaining party members eventually perish once the 5 year time limit expires... but one true ending where, through some circumstances, they actually get the time limit removed and now they can live for as long they like and die on their own terms. I can see the Interceptor having a hand on this, what do you think?
