"June 15, 2002 Michael Jackson leaves his hotel around 12:30 p.m. to attend a fan rally in front of the Sony Music offices on Great Marlborough Street in London. He arrives around 1:30PM riding on the upper deck of an open-top London bus, which had been arranged for him by a group of fans. Later, at the Equinox nightclub during a fan club event, the 'Killer Thriller Party,' Michael speaks about his dissatisfaction with Sony. Holding a banner made by fans, he reads: 'Sony Kills Music.' He announces that he will not release another album with this label after his box set. Michael is upset that his latest album, Invincible has not been promoted as thoroughly as his previous ones. Fans from all over the world have held angry demonstrations outside Sony offices to show their support for Michael Jackson."

All over the world, Michael documented his life to cement his legacy everywhere that he went in this world like Chicago, Japan, Los Angeles, Ivory Coast, London, Gary, South Korea, Gabon, Paris, Hong Kong, South Africa, Rome, and so on.

The way MJ took these measures to solidify the narrative of his life is probably one of the most fascinating facts about him.

Even though some fans feel that the Michael Movie didn't teach as much as it should've or it didn't show enough information about Michael that wasn't already known, there are plenty of people (like his nephew, Jaafar) who were able to learn things from the Michael Biopic that they never had access to before.

What has been achieved by this movie doesn't need to be the end of what learning about Michael looks like. It seems to be only the beginning for many angels and moonwalkers around the globe who've been inspired to dig a little deeper into his life.

Hopefully, one day, civilization will finally understand him. 🤝

Invincible has been my favorite album since I can remember, and I think it's the most misunderstood record in his catalog. I could never find anything that actually documented how it actually got made and I believe that it deserved more. So over the last several months, I built it.

It's a full research archive: a sourced timeline of the whole story in four phases, a file on every track, files on everyone who worked on it, a vault of the unreleased material, and a research page where every single claim on the site tells you exactly what it's sourced from and how solid that source is. There's also Rank the Record, where you settle the tracklist head-to-head, two songs at a time, and get your own ranking to share.

It's styled like a fan site from 2001, basically the companion site the album never got. It's completely free – no ads, nothing for sale, no photos used (that's a deliberate choice). I just wanted this to exist.
