How to deal with this?

I’m 4’10” and been with my husband for 20+ years and married for 15. He was my first bf ever and we’ve had a great relationship. However, the past 2-3 years I’ve noticed him growing increasingly insecure about himself and our relationship. He almsot consistently acts like I am going to leave or cheat on him and the topic of height gets brought up a lot. He is 5’6-5’7 ish. He’s gotten super protective to the point I can’t go out alone without him (to grocery stores, the gym, etc) he truly believes some man is going to waltz in and take me from him and he makes me feel guilty or puts me down a lot but I know it’s bc of his own fears and insecurites. We are both in therapy indivually btw….. just wondering what I can possibly do to ease his feelings and ensure he knows that I’m not leaving and I love him for who he is height and all. I do tell him this a low but he doesn’t believe me

Just sharing a win: 225 lb hip thrust today ! 🥲

My glutes are my weakest muscle and I’ve tried on and off for years to grow stronger larger glutes. Finally taking it super seriously and since January I’ve built up to this.
It might not be much for some girls, but huge deal for me.

Also before anyone compares I do have extensive athletic background and a former bikini bodybuilding Champion in 2012 so this was a longgg time

What happened to good eye contact?

I’ve noticed something about myself and I’m curious what others think from a body language/psychology perspective.

When I’m talking to someone, I naturally maintain pretty deep, prolonged eye contact—not in a creepy “serial killer stare” way, but because I’m genuinely interested and fully engaged in the conversation. I want people to feel seen and truly listened to since that’s so rare these days

I’ve noticed a lot of people seem to get uncomfortable. They’ll look away frequently, break eye contact, or sometimes barely make eye contact at all.

Does prolonged eye contact tend to intimidate people? Do most people interpret it as confidence, intensity, attraction, or something else? Or is it simply that many people aren’t used to that level of eye contact?

I’d love to hear your experiences, whether you’re the one making eye contact or the one receiving it.
Is this a common courtesy of the past? Have times changed so much that it isn’t welcome anymore ?

Edited to add: I know eye contact is tough for neurodivergent ppl (my husband and son are AuDHD…that’s not what I’m talking about here though)

**2nd edit: I am a woman if that makes a difference, I was raised by older parents who grew up in the 50’s and this was considered polite to look at people when they speak. I’m honestly shocked by all the comments here 😅… and no I don’t continue eye contact if I already sense the person is uncomfortable. I do look away or down on occasions or at my surroundings etc while someone speaks and and by prolonged I don’t man dead stare I mean even just a few seconds of eye to eyes meeting I notice ppl just hate that these days. It’s bizarre to me

F/39/4’10” [140 lbs > 120 lbs = 20 lbs] (72 months - 6 year span) 2020/2024/2026…it’s been a journey!

Proud of myself! My weight has fluctuated my whole life and it’s been a rollercoaster, but the past 6 years I’ve gone from my heaviest to losing the weight from home workouts and diet alone - (dropped down to 107-110) to now in the gym putting on muscle.

Perimenopause is now making things challenging, but determined to navigate this to continue to feel my best 🙌🏼

F/39 - looking into peptides/compounds

Looking for some advice and guidance from those with experience.

I’m 39, 4’10”, and goals are healthy aging, building lean muscle, improving recovery, and losing body fat (thinking for longterm)

A little background:
Former bikini bodybuilder
I have PCOS, insulin resistance, celiac disease, and had a surgical hysterectomy.
Lots of weight fluctuations throughout the years

I’m planning to see an HRT specialist soon because I suspect my hormones are playing a big role in how much harder it’s become to get lean despite strength training and a high-protein diet.

If you were starting from scratch, what beginner peptide/compound stack would you recommend?
Would you prioritize HRT first?
What has actually been worth it for muscle, fat loss, recovery, or skin, and what wasn’t?

Just looking to learn from others’ experiences. Thanks!

Turning 40 next year-what are your best tips you wish you’d done sooner?

This is me with no makeup. I’m 39….I don’t do Botox or anything yet. Havent done facials or laser etc

I have extremely sensitive / reactive and acne prone skin so as much as I’ve tried Trentinoin and Retinols they are just not for me unfortunately.

I strictly use Korean skincare and focus on hydration/hydrating products. Seems to work for me
Huge on sunscreen daily !
I include neck and décolleté area with all products I use
Bought Azaelic Acid to add into my routine soon

Just wondering what I can do to improve - or more so want to know what you all wish you did sooner as a preventative?

Current routine:

MORNING

Cleanser
I’m From - Rice Toner
VT PDRN Essence
COSRX Snail Mucin (only on makeup days)
Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum
Laneige Water Bank Cream
Beauty of Joseon SPF

NIGHT

Anua Cleansing Oil (only on makeup days)
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
Red light mask
I’m From - Rice toner
VT PDRN Essence
Anua 10% Azeliac Acid
Laneige Water Bank Cream

39/F 4’10” 120lbs - Finally feeling myself again

Former bikini competitor / champion back in 2011-2013 prior to having my son. Was sedentary for a few years after and been on and off my fitness journey since.

My weight fluctuates drastically.
Finally got back into the gym seriously a couple months ago and finally seeing good progress. I’m surgically post menopausal so it’s been tougher this go around

I’m currently in a bulk to focus on glute growth - genetics are against me here but truly working hard at it- goal is to look my best at my 40th bday next year!

I work out 4x a week (2 leg/glute days and 2/upper body days/ab days - 30 min incline walks 4-5 x a week)

Eating approx 1550 calories:
130g Protein
55g Fat
130g Carbs

Recommendations for HRT doctors?

Looking for recommendations for an HRT doctor experienced with women in surgical menopause, preferably someone who understands both hormone optimization and fitness/body composition goals.

A little background: I’m 39, a former bikini bodybuilding competitor, and had a hysterectomy years ago. My ovaries were left in place but appear to be largely non-functional at this point.

Not currently on HRT, and recent comprehensive bloodwork was normal overall, but I’m experiencing symptoms that make me feel like it’s time to consult with a specialist.

Looking for someone who takes symptoms, quality of life, muscle preservation, recovery, energy, and long-term health into account.
Bonus if they are knowledgeable about:
Surgical menopause
Testosterone therapy in women
Growth hormone/peptides
Body composition and resistance training
Perimenopause/menopause optimization

I’d love to hear:
Who you use
Whether they’re local or telehealth
What your experience has been
Approximate costs if you’re comfortable sharing
Thanks in advance!☺️🫶🏼

Looking for the Best Aesthetician in Orlando

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a truly exceptional aesthetician in the Orlando area.

I have very sensitive, reactive skin, so preferably someone who is knowledgeable about skin barrier health, gentle treatments, and customized skincare rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Bonus points if they:
• Specialize in sensitive or compromised skin
• Incorporate Korean skincare techniques or treatments
• Offer treatments such as Korean facials, lymphatic massage, PDRN, skin boosters, or advanced hydration treatments

If you’ve had a great personal experience with someone, I’d love to hear who you recommend and why.

TIA! 💕

Is this flattering for Romantic Essence?

Working on incorporating more of my Romantic essence into my wardrobe while still honoring my Romantic/Dramatic/Classic blend. This dress seemed like a good fit with the square neckline, defined waist, and soft floral print.

My hesitation is the length. I am only 4’10”, I wonder if the hem is visually shortening me and would look more balanced 1–2 inches shorter, just above the knee?

I’d love thoughts on both the silhouette and whether the overall look reads Romantic, Dramatic, Classic, or a mix.

Where do the 30s/40s crowd go dancing around Orlando these days?

Is there a secret club where all the 35–45 year olds who still love to dance hang out? 😂

I’ve been missing going out and dancing lately, but DT Orlando isn’t really my scene anymore. It feels like the only time I dance now is at weddings… and in your 40s there aren’t exactly a lot of weddings happening anymore. 😅

Looking for fun places with good music, dancing, and a slightly older crowd. Salsa, bachata, Latin nights, reggaeton, live bands—I’m open!

What are your favorite go-to spots?

Gym Girlies: Where are we finding extra short length sweatpants?

I’m 4’10” and feel like it has been impossible to find any that looking decent and aren’t extremely long or TOO baggy bc there’s so much extra fabric
