Only own 9mms and want to go a little bigger, what do you recommend?

I got four 9mms and a 380 but i want something bigger. The two main contenders are 45acp and 10mm.

Always wanted a 1911 in the lords caliber and I’ve been interested in 10mm for years but I’ve read that a lot of 10mm range ammo is kind of weak and only loaded to 40s&w standards. I don’t want to have to shell out a crazy amount of coin just for full powered 10mm. I like to shoot a lot but I’m also not rich by any means so ammo price in general is what’s kept me from buying anything bigger than 9mm

My budget is around $750. Hit me with your opinions and recommendations please

One pedal to rule them all?

Is there a pedal out there that can give you the perfect doom/sludge tone without having to spend hours dialing in?

I’ve got a ProCo Rat and a Behringer fuzz pedal that I run into a Boss Katana 50 and I still have a hard time getting a good doom tone. Wondering if there’s an easier way?

FN 509M for $350?

LGS is having a sale on the 509M for $349. I’ve never shot an FN before and I already have a Glock 19 and 19X. Should I grab a 509M or pass?

EDIT: I called just in time to put the last one on layaway

2011 Rock Warrior cruise light on dash

I bought a used 2011 Rock Warrior CrewMax yesterday with 200,000 miles on it for $5000. First Toyota ever, never even set in one in my life. It is so incredibly spacious inside it’s almost unbelievable!

Anyway it’s obviously not a perfect truck for $5000 but I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Frame is pretty rusty but solid and one little spot of rust bubbling up over the rear wheel well. That’s all typical for where I’m at and I just need a truck to last me a couple years til I pay off my wife’s car.

The guy I bought it off of had broke off the cruise control switch off the steering wheel and the “cruise” is lit up in green on the dash and won’t go off. Is that an issue? I plan to replace the switch but I’m pretty apprehensive since you have to remove the airbag to do so.

Advice on buying 2014 F150 3.5 with high mileage

Looking for a reliable truck that’s not a rusted out piece of junk for around $6000 and it’s proving to be pretty impossible to find. Came across a really clean rust free 2014 with the 3.5 twin turbo and 194,xxx miles on it. The rust free part is a big deal in southern WV because I have been looking at some real turds here lately.

He said it runs great and only issue is it needs a vacuum pump which I’ve read is somewhat common. Asked if the turbos have been changed and he didn’t know. That’s the big thing that concerns me with such high mileage.

I only drive about 25 miles a day so I just want a decent truck to last me a few years til my wife’s car is paid off then maybe I can get something better. This is the cleanest truck I’ve found recently and honestly not even the highest miles by a long shot but I’ve always been a Chevy man so I don’t know anything about Fords. This would be the newest truck over ever had by a long shot

Is it worth buying at $6k or should I stay away? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

2013 F250 6.2 with 220,000 miles worth buying?

Truck looks good from the photos, very minimal rust if any which is a big thing where I’m at. The I only real issue I can see from the photos is the padding or whatever missing from the top of the steering wheel, down to the bare metal. She said there’s an issue with the AC too, she said they think it just needs charged but not sure. I’m fat and sweaty so getting that fixed is a priority.

They’re asking $5000 but I’m hoping I can talk them down to $4000. It is 2 hours away though so it’s a long ride if I decide not to buy it.

My dad’s got a 2017 F350 with the 6.2, it’s only got right at 50k miles but it’s been a good truck so far and thats coming from a Chevy man that’s drove a 1990 Dodge Cummins for the last 25 years.

Boss Katana 50 vs Orange Crush 35RT

I’m just a lowly bedroom guitarist that typically only played death and doom metal with some old Metallica sprinkled in. I currently have a Boss Katana 50 but it’s got so much going on with all the effects and I’ve never taken the time to try to learn how to utilize all the extra capabilities of it because I just like to plug and play.

The only effects I really use are my Rat pedal and Behringer Super Fuzz

I just kinda want to dumb down for my caveman brain and caveman riffs. Just something I can plug into and go to town.

Would the Orange Crush 35RT worth switching to or is a downgrade? I know people love Orange for doom metal but would it be alright for death metal or old Metallica (first four albums)?

I’m open to other recommendations too under $500

Are these Fender Player Series Jazzmasters worth getting?

Thinking about possibly trading my EC-1000 for one of these Jazzmasters but I been reading some mixed reviews about them.

I know it’s not a “true” Jazzmaster but I love the offset shape and personally I don’t care about the rhythm circuit. Also I’m fine with the humbuckers because I’d be tuning it to C standard and playing doom metal on it.

Is it worth it or would I need to do a lot of work to it to make it playable for my needs?

Polonium vs Polo K

I know it’s been asked a million times but I just want to ask again, Polo vs Polo K

It’s for my DDM4A1 14.5 p/w with a FCD 3P15 flash hider.

I’ve got an AB Suppressors A10 556 that I ran on it direct threaded before I got it pinned and it wasn’t bad on the gas but I’d like to not go too much more gassy.

Went to the LGS today and I ended up putting the full size on layaway but now I’m thinking I should just get the K instead.

Is the extra gas of the full size worth the extra sound reduction or is it negligible?

Should I trade my 2009 Silverburst EC-1000 for a 2023 Vintage White Phoenix-1000?

I’m not sure what to do. Posted my EC-1000 on marketplace stating I only want to trade and only for a 6 string baritone because I do love the guitar but I want to get into a lot lower tunings and it’s really the only one I can see myself parting with.

Guy got on there and offered a Phoenix in vintage white with a ESP hard shell case (mine has no case). I feel like I’d be a fool not to but I’m just afraid I’d regret it. It’s really only the Silverburst finish that I’m so attached to, I know I could probably never find another and if I did I definitely wouldn’t get one for the price I paid for that one.

I had one of the Phoenix-201s a year or so ago and it was cool but ultimately I traded it. The body is pretty big on them which isn’t a huge deal but my only other 6 string is an Epiphone Explorer and neither it or a Phoenix are great for jamming on the couch in a relaxed position.

Also I kinda hate the EMGs in my EC-1000 and it doesn’t have stainless steel frets either where the Phoenix does and it’s got the Seymour Duncan Custom and Phat Cat which I think I’d like much more.

Sorry for the long post, I know it’s obviously my decision in the end I’m just looking for advice or opinions.

3 prong vs 4 prong flash hider for p/w

Looking for the right Plan B p/w suppressor host for my DDM4A1 and I’ve narrowed it down to the Forward Controls Design 3P15 and the Comstock Armory 4-Prong flash hider.

Any reason to pick one over the other? I know 4 prong is more clone correct or whatever which doesn’t really matter. I’ve ready arguments in favor of both 3 and 4 prong and I’m just not sure which to go with. What do you recommend and why?

Will the FCS 3P15 Plan B work with the OCL Polo K?

Just what the title asks. I’m looking for a three prong Plan B mount to P/W to my 14.5 DDM4A1. Got the Polo K on layaway at my LGS

I know my other suppressor, AB A-10 556, specifically states to NOT use three prong flash hiders with it so I just wanna make sure that’s not the case with the Polo K before I buy the 3P15
