A few questions for people who know Varanasi well:

How crowded is Kashi Vishwanath likely to be right now? Is this period particularly busy?

If online slots are unavailable, is there any Tatkal/on-the-spot option for darshan?

Is Sugam Darshan worth booking for elderly parents, especially if regular darshan involves a very long wait?

How does the entry process actually work? Are there different queues/entrances that we should know about?

Roughly how much does Sugam Darshan or any other paid darshan option cost?

For Ganga Aarti, where would you recommend going with elderly parents? Should we book a boat/seat in advance, or can we manage it after reaching?

Any important scams, touts, unnecessary expenses, or things to be careful about?

Since we only have a very short time in Varanasi, what are the absolute must-see places apart from the temple and Ganga Aarti?

We’ll be arriving around noon tomorrow, so any practical advice from locals or recent visitors would be hugely appreciated.

Please keep parents and grandmother in mind when suggesting want them to have a comfortable spiritual experience rather than spending the whole day standing in queues.

So here's the process

You need to carry the below items with you

1. Adhaar copy

2. Cash for depositing (min of rs 200)

They will give you a form and will ask you to fill it out, and youu need to provide your phone number mail id , adress list etc.

Once filled go to counter and they will register and then you will need to make a deposit min of rs 200 and your accounts open.

Ta da its simple as that.

Also the staffs were really nice and sweet. They were happy to see people with philately hobbies

How to get intl fdc , should I mail them orhow? Like the fdc for stamps seals, commemorative, postcards etc
