Bermuda roofs

I would like to fly from the east coast to bermuda to see the famed white stepped roofs in action, hopefully during rain. I anticipate i need to stay more than a day but if I stay a full two nights i guess i will have to see other things, beaches, etc., but i am not seeking this to be fun or relaxing.

  1. Is there a clear way to see the roofs and drainage as a tourist?
  2. Is this better in some months?
  3. Besides hotel and food cost$$$ are their hidden fees in some or all months that are required but not obvious I should anticipate?

Take a moment

I get bending moment as a basis for shape but this strikes me as an odd design for a street-fronting porch. Guessing circa 1915-25. How widespread are these?

Challenged

Something on cargurus is pulling multiple default graphics that are less than accurate.

Rarity vs price vs intangible

For many years I had to budget very carefully for watches and ended up choosing smaller or micro brands, Defakto, Shorokhoff, Aristo, Impossible. Some based on eta, sellita, miyota, etc., not main brand names except one victorinox for swimming. A couple have been preowned, but mostly new, and as a side effect nearly all have been very small release quantities. That means I am used to having a watch that is one of a hundred or so. Now that I could afford one milestone watch higher in 4 digits, I am struggling with price. The $1900 Oris of a few years ago is inching toward $3k, far more than inflation. The grand seiko ones are up by half over when I first tried them on, and seem identical. Perhaps these are all good quality but seem to have lost something intangible when I realize there are many many of these and the only rarity is imposed by allotments to a boutique or by ending a color to make you look for another. So I have tried a dozen or so on but they seem hard to justify as 10x the cost of something in the past that had actual rarity. Do you just discard the rarity aspect and say this is the market value for this particular design? Or am I missing a way of justifying to oneself ?
