Lilliputian. I had many a good prime rib dinner here over the years, and I appreciated its English charm, great hospitality, and delicious food. Brought my own bottle of Caymus for the occasion (my early birthday), and Wifey and I enjoyed ourselves here for the last time. So long Gulliver’s. Thanks for the memories. ❤️

I have the meats

The weekend BOGO deal is great if you get the half pound roast beef sandwich. 2 half pound sandwiches for $10 is goated. I just ate one and now I have another one for later. Yummy.

The $5.99 Build Your Own Bag but my way

I saw that you can get a bacon cheeseburger with the BYOB deal. So I removed the condiments and pickles, added bbq sauce. Then ordered the bag with onion rings and chicken stars. Put an onion ring inside the bacon cheeseburger. I made myself a poor man’s western bacon cheeseburger, a side of onion rings and 4 chicken stars for $5.99. Yummy.

Whopper Wednesday. I added an extra beef patty, cheese, and onion rings. Hot off the broiler, and it was hot. And it was glorious.

The new fried apple pies are ok

I mean they’re way better than the old baked ones but those baked ones weren’t good at all. These have some strange artificial sugar taste and it’s more sauce than actual apple chunks. Oh well. Hope the ones near you are better. I did appreciate that when first served the filling is still approximately the temperature of the sun, so I can burn myself like before. The blistered outside skin is good too. So there’s that.

When the rest of Orange County wants $17-20/bowl of pho, this place in Cypress near my work charges $8.25 for a large bowl. And it’s good too.

Pho tai chin nam, #6 on the menu.

The Doritos Locos taco is really good

Somehow the nacho cheese powder flavoring works well with the other ingredients.

There’s a Trejo’s Mexican Food near my work so I went there yesterday for Taco Tuesday

The tacos are normally $5.50 and up, but the Tuesday special has them for $3.10 each. They were really good too! I had a shrimp and chorizo, carne asada, and fish taco. They even have this odd sounding peanut butter salsa, to which u mixed in some of the chili oil they have also. It was surprisingly good. Happy tummy.

Mmmm pho with my wife

Everytime I have Pho with my wife, I make her a saucer of hoisin and sriracha like this ❤️. We are the same in that traditionally we don’t squirt sauces into our bowl, you leave the broth pure. This is for dipping your meat and meatballs, as is proper. I think she likes it, but I can’t be pho sure? 🤷‍♂️❤️

Decided to take the plunge and try that new brisket. But I didn’t want to spend $7.35 for an à la carte side of it

It was lunchtime today so I ordered a bowl with the brisket, added a side of brisket (free with my birthday coupon or some survey coupon). And it was really good. The meat was tender but not too tender, there was still some firmness and chew to it as brisket should be. The flavor had notes of hoisin sauce, five spice, and a very light chili oil or spicy component. With the free side my total was $11.45. Even better, when I got there they were waiting for a new batch of brisket so I was able to get it right after being made.

The new $1 value bean and cheese burrito, add chili topping and extra cheese.

It was good, much smaller than the full 1/2lb size but good enough for my lunch today. I was feeling bougie and added chili topping and extra cheese, but the app didn’t even add that up right. Not a bad lunch for $2.45.

The $1.50 Sausage McMuffin is a good value. Especially when paired with a free hash brown using 1500 rewards points, one of the few rewards that didn’t increase in price.
