Recently I went for a solo movie, 45mins pa bago yung movie kaya ako lang mag-isa non (photo was taken that day).

Luma na yung sinehan, kupas na yung mga upuan, krak ng pintura sa dingding at sahig, at mga kisame na bakas na rin yung pagkalambot ng plywood.

After the movie, I had a small talk with one of the cleaners. Yung nagaabang sayo sa baba para itapon mga basura mo.

Habang hawak hawak ni ate yung plastik ng basura.

"Ate meron po bang nagpaparamdam sa inyo dito sa loob? Parang nakakatakot kasi ang luma na"

Ngumiti si ate na parang unexpected yung tanong ko.

"Meron naman sir dati" sabay ngisi ng pahiya.

I moved closer sa kanya to show my interest.

"Dati sir may pinalabas na pelikula dito, hating gabi pinalabas. Horror ata yun? Sarado na yung mall, itong sinehan na lang ang bukas. Ako lang naiwan mag-isa dito sa loob maglinis kasi yung kasama ko nasa CR naman na-assign. Wala ng tao at tahimik na, nagwawalis ako nun sa itaas na mga upuan tapos may nakita akong anino ng tao sa dingding ba, nakatayo lang, istreyt na tayo"

Tumayo pa ng tuwid si ate.

"Baka yung kasama mo yun ate?"

"Hindi man sir, pagkita ko kasi kakapasok lang niya hawak yung basurahan tinatawag ako. Hala uy kinilabutan tuloy ako"

Tumingin si ate sa mga braso niya. Nagpasalamat ako at umalis.

After nun, never ako pumapasok agad nang maaga sa sinehan bago ang movie, di na rin ako nagpapahuli paglabas.

Love how it sounds like a conclusion to something that ended.

Accepting that despite it ended, at least you made good memories with that person.

Eraserheads is a brand, not a band anymore.

When Eheads announced their reunion, I was one of the millennials who were so excited. I even saved a lot just to secure a ticket.

It always baffled me what triggered them to reunite. Come on, they don't need it anymore. The first clue to answer this is their drummer, Raymund Marasigan.

Of all them, Rayms was the one who vlogged the behind the scenes. Inabangan ko palagi uploads niya kahit ilang minutes lang. There was this episode na hindi na sila nakapag-practice ng sets dahil sa sooooobrang daming meetings and they needed to crunch their time dahil papalapit na yung concert.

Then there were the podcasts where Rayms shared a lot of details about the reunion.

Basically, there were a lot of layers and 3rd party people for the reunion to happen. Sabi niya nga it was a manager-to-manager discussion for them to work again. A lot of businesses were included, some were sponsors, some were partners. Pati daw strap ng gitara may sponsor ata.

Out of all that I read, watched and listened, it was primarily a business venture framed as a reunion. Pinakatumatak sakin na sabi ni Rayms was them the band members did not have full control sa reunion. Andon lang sila para tumugtog and that was it.

Well I know what you're thinking, this is normal for a business venture especially Eheads is not just a band anymore, but a brand. A profitable one.

But can we still call this a real reunion?

Then they dropped Combo On The Run Documentary. Well it justified the answer I got.

I will say this as early as now, the documentary is mid. The main core story na they were never friends then magkakaibigan na sila ngayon? Partly true lang from what I felt. Getting along workmates? Pwede pa.

Una ko napansin was Ely was the one thinking how they can earn from the Eheads brand. He had a lot of details na na-share about the reunion.

Then napansin ko rin na medyo inis or off si Ely kay Marcus. Marcus said in another interview na matagal na siyang hindi humahawak ng gitara and mas gusto niya mag-pinta na lang.

You can see sa docu how him and Ely needed to have this separate session just so Marcus can play again the songs.

Of course since Ely was selling the Eheads brands to the businesses, na-off rin sya with Marcus' issue with his family. Natawa nga ko ang defensive ng ex-wife ni Ely for him sa interview about it lol.

They even wanted to replace Marcus because of the issue and his current guitar playing capability.

I remembered this podcast where Ely's girlfriend shared how they had a hard time furbishing the audio of the concert, song by song dahil off yung gitara ni Marcus. I find it sht lang and disrespectful lang kase kahit gaano kalala yung issue, Marcus is still an OG 'heads.

Then there was this weird part where they interviewed people na di mo gets why they were interviewed.

Alden fcking Richards? Seryoso ba?

Funny though, marami sa mga na interview was part of the production din pala and producers like Ely's ex-wife and of course Alden fcking Richards.

Nung sinabi nila na friends na sila, ewan ko di ko lang maramdaman na totoo? The way I see it is yes magkakasundo na sila ulit but all because of contracts and them as workmates again.

YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THEM IN AN INTERVIEW TOGETHER SAYING FRIENDS NA SILA hahaha.

Puro separate interviews. Anong meron lang na magkakasama sila? The first day na magkakasama ulit sila and awkwardness was so high haha.

Perhaps friends na ulit sila yes, but yung malalim na ine-expect ng mga fans? Probably no. Work friends? Yes. Also, they just don't like drama anymore dahil sa edad nila. Typical tito on their age.

I find it funny and ironic lang na ayaw na ayaw at nako-kornihan sila noon sa business side ng music industry pero now isa na sila doon. Merch, movie-docu, exclusive vinyls, and lahat ng pwede pa gawin para pagkakitaan yung brand. Ely is doing all of the things they hated before.

Imagine, friends na nga lang kayo sa work tapos pati yun pagkakakitaan pa? hahaha

Kung may saving grace man dito, Rayms and Buddy are still true friends more than contracts. They even made a band named UltraCombo playing Eheads songs kase alam nilang maraming hindi naka-afford ng tix nung concert. Sila rin yung sumalba sa banda from contract breach when Ely and Marcus left despite of an on going contract ( I just find it hard when Ely was furiated na tinuloy yung Eheads name with a woman after he left, mahirap mademanda for violating a contract).

Rayms and Buddy even paired when Coke Studio launched in the Philippines (best season for me).

Well still props to Ely for reuniting them kahit business partners and workmates lang.

Ayoko na rin idagdag yung political publicity stunt ni Ely in relation to this reunion. It's a different discussion.

If there was a reunion that felt more than just contracts and you can still feel their brotherhood towards each other? Rivermaya got it. Promise.

May reason talaga bakit di naging "Ang Muling El Bimbo" yung title ng reunion nila haha

Ano mataas parin PRIDE niyo para hindi ito mapansin in your community?

I support the rainbow movement and have friends from the community kahit straight ako.

I am in all support sa pinaglalaban niyo especially for your fair rights and and fair treatment.

Pero tngina sana naman maging aware naman kayo sa actions niyo on being in the community you fight for.

For how many times, nakikita ko na too common ang extreme and sexually explicit jokes sa community niyo (too much for a green joke) and behind these jokes are extreme sexual activities. I was in the pride march before and ang daming naghahalikan sa mga portalets. I read a lot of threads that some do orgies pa.

Ang lagi kong tanong sa mga kabaklaan, NORMAL NA NORMAL BA SA COMMUNITY NIYO ANG SEXUALLY EXPLICIT AND EXTREME JOKES? Malaking bahagi ba ang extreme sex sa community niyo to the point na KAYO ang major drivers ng pagtaas ng HIV cases sa bansa?

There is a fine line in green jokes and explicit jokes and mas rampant yung explicit jokes sa community niyo to the point na nakakadiri na sya para sa iba.

The funny part is? Kapag tiantanong ko sa kanila yung mga tanong sa taas, lagi nila sinasagot na "ganun din naman sa mga lalake or girls ah" or even "don't attack us, may mga mababait pa naman sa community"

Still walang makasagot directly ng mga tanong na yan.

Why? Because you guys cannot admit na that is a dirt on your face na di makita ng mga mata niyo.

And kung ginagawa to ng mga straight and nagiging mali sya, then bakit kayo rin? Hindi ba dapat kayo pa maging modelo for safe sex? E bakit ang laki ng ambag niyo sa HIV case sa bansa? Bakit kayo yung dominant drivers ng pagtaas ng mga kaso?

Matagal na advocacy niyo for safe sex? So how come data does not support that?

Ang tatapang niyo i-correct at i-educate ang tao sa pinaglalaban niyo pero sa sarili niyo di niyo magawa.

Tapos what? Makakahawa yung mga sakit niyo sa mga inosenteng tao then you will ask fair treatment sa kanila? So ano pa purpose ng pinaglalaban niyo in the first place?

You don't say ganyan kayo dahil matagal niyo na nilalaban mga karapatan niyo kase ang tagal niyo na rin pero patuloy niyo parin sinisira yung lipunan by increasing HIV cases.

I'm already expecting this post will be downvoted or be removed. Diyan lang naman kayo magaling pero iniiwasan niyo sagutin yung facts.

EDIT: I acknowledge Alebrto was bias to traveling because of her position but I hope ABS CBN became more wise on their judgement on posting this because it's really off if we are talking financial literacy.

This band is gaining rediscovery in YouTube. I was in YouTube playing Lola Amour songs when I saw this picture sa isang thumbnail. It got me hooked so I clicked it.

The title was Please - Something New [Philippines] Psych Soul (1977)

I got instantly hooked with their sound! May Trumpet and trombone haha. Hinanap ko yung album nila and wow Pinoy na pinoy yung vocals but the band? Kuhang-kuha nila yung western vibe ng funk and soul. Kaya makipagsabayan kay James Brown. You can hear weeds or mushrooms was used sa mga kanta nila hahah

If you will compare them to Hotdog, The Boyfriends and VST, this band edged on capturing that feel good vibes especially if you will hear the bass guitar.

Suddenly they are gaining more audiences now dahil pasok parin yung tunog nila sa mga funk and soul na kanta ngayon.

No Blue Check purchase, no talking to Meta Support, and I still can't believe that my Facebook account is back after being permanently disabled for days!

I read a lot of posts here, and most people who got permanently disabled simply accepted the fate of their Facebook accounts.

When my account got permanently disabled, there were two things that made me wonder why. First, I suspected Meta detected that I was watching an illegal livestream of the NBA Finals on Facebook because my account was disabled shortly afterward.

I had already accepted it, but I was always baffled because my account still appeared in the login options on both my app and browser. Whenever I tried to open it, it always brought me back to the same message shown on the screen.

I analyzed everything again, and somehow the phrase "still doesn't follow..." caught my attention. I started thinking that Meta might still be waiting for me to fix something instead of simply saying "it doesn't follow." The word "still" made me believe there was still a chance for the account to be restored.

The reason given about account integrity and authentic identity also caught my attention, so I used it as a clue.

I have two other Facebook accounts that I use. One is a proxy account where my surname is spelled backward, and the other was an old work account with the same name and birthday as my main account.

I was able to access that old work account and deleted it. Then, when I tried logging into my disabled Facebook account again, it suddenly asked me to verify my face! This was the first time it had done that after more than 100 attempts to access my account.

Then, about four hours later, I started receiving Messenger notifications but they weren't from the account I was currently using (the one with the surname spelled backward). They were coming from my disabled Facebook account!

I immediately tried opening it again on my computer and BOOM! My Facebook account was back!

What I realized from this experience is that it's best to avoid doing risky things on Facebook, such as watching illegal livestreams, to avoid getting on Meta's radar.

Also, avoid having too many accounts with the same profile details, such as the same name and birthday. If you still have duplicate accounts today, it's probably better to delete them sooner rather than later.
