Let this be your sign to purchase ring insurance NOW!

i heard this advice many times but unfortunately, life got busy and i just let it go. i have had my ring for just over a year and a half. i looked down today and this is what i saw. i am VERY gentle with my ring, i never have washed my hands or applied lotion with it and its never gotten strongly bumped. just two weeks ago, i had taken it for my yearly stone check and clean (whether this cleaning could have loosened it or not, im not sure but they have posted on the door that they are not responsible).

i’m sure this is very minor and maybe even inexpensive to fix but i am very upset. i do not have a single clue where the missing stone could be.

my mom told me multiple times to get it insured but i guess i just didn’t think something would happen to me. i even saw many posts like this but, life was crazy. for how inexpensive it can be to insure it, please do it if you have extra cash lying around.

to anyone who has experienced this too and gotten it fixed, how much did it cost? :(

edit: ring is from rare carat. experience has been great but i dont think their manufacturer warranty would cover this.

Honeymoon that is not “tropical” within a 7 hr flight from ATL?

I’ve made a few posts in here before and done a TON of research and i’ve about driven myself crazy! But now i know what we do and don’t want! Outside of USA is okay.

- Dates will be appx May 21-28 of 2027
- It’ll be my first flight so, I don’t want to venture too far (preferably less than 7-8 hrs) from ATL incase I don’t handle it well.
- We do not want to go sit on a beach. We are not beach people and we are currently tired of being in the blazing sun 😂
- We don’t want the trip to be revolved fully around hiking. I know, we seem picky but we just don’t love hiking!
- We love to see pretty scenery, observing wildlife, trying new restaurants, FH loves breweries but I do not drink (so preferably no places that are mainly for drinking), relaxing, shopping, breakfast places
- Vancouver island is a place that we have come across that looks very interesting to us!
- Budget of appx $5,000

edit to add: also, no cruise. i get very very boat sick!!!

do you could multiple days of brown discharge + symptoms as a period ?

i had some brown discharge for about 4 days (but only enough to where it’s there when i wipe). i have also had a few other “period like” symptoms (sore boobs, headaches, emotional). i have very irregular periods, my last started april 1st so, i can’t judge it based off of if it’s when my period should be. this just isn’t my typical period but my periods are far from typical.

thank you for any advice. i appreciate all help! :)

edit: I should’ve added this- I did go to the doctor within the last month! Progesterone and estrogen and all else was perfectly fine, my LH/FSH ratio was just off. I was given Provera (that i haven’t taken yet) to cause a withdrawal bleed but didn’t know if i could take it with this or, if this restarted my 3 month countdown.

what kind of backup plan can i have for if it goes out and im more than seven days away from my injection? i know the fridge will stay cold for a little bit but, not forever

favorite acne and tret safe double cleanser?

i’m currently staying at a hotel with MUCH better lighting at home and i’m realizing that i am absolutely not getting all of my makeup off at night. i know this cannot be good for my skin lol.

currently:
am: water, good molecules HA, the ordinary sunscreen, the ordinary HA + natural factors moisturizer

pm: byoma creamy jelly cleanser (absolutely LOVE this, it has been my tried and true for no break outs), the ordinary HA + natural factors moisturizer.

skin type: dry!!

tretinoin cream 3 x a week 0.025% for acne

i’ve heard things about double cleansing? from what i understand, i could need an oil based wash added to my routine? many makeup removers break out my skin (i break out if the wind blows wrong lol), so i’m wanting to avoid those if possible.

i’m so thankful for aimovig

yellow days are headaches or migraines. i do wish i would have made a distinction between the two when i started, but i didnt.*

i started with a migraine on 11/17/2025 that did not stop until 1/25/26 (after a muscle relaxer) but it quickly came back. I started aimovig on 5/1/26.

from 77% of my days being migraine days in january, to starting it after april where 67% of my days were migraine days, now to july where i only had 5 episodes. And of these 5, only one was a migraine, the rest were headaches. This medication has changed my life 💛

tips for helping miraFAST work best

i get nervous with new laxative “meds” but decided to give miraFAST a try. i took it (1.5 chews because i was scared but i realize now i can bravely take more) at 9:05pm and had major rumbles within minutes however, nothing happened. i did take it with 20 ish oz of water. but at 10 am after breakfast when i was far away from my home bathroom, it worked some but im not fully satisfied. it’s 2:30 pm the next day and i just took two.

is there anything else i can do to try to make them work the best? do i need more water?

signed,
a desperate girl with senior photos tomorrow who wants some of the constipation bloat to go away 🥲

edit: spoke too soon. it worked a few mins after my post. 🤣. if you are trying them, LOTS of water and a little bit of patience

PLEASE give me all of your constipation tips

hi! i just took my fourth aimovig shots. it’s been nothing short of life changing for me. 90% reduction in migraines (!!) but that’s but that’s besides the point.

the constipation for me is not hard stool at all. it’s genuinely just slowly moving bowels (i think). when i try miralax, it just makes everything a sticky mushy mess that’s impossible to push out. i’ve been trying to solve this current round of it for 7 days now and i have had some BM but not complete, satisfying one. i want to try to get on top of it before it gets to the dangerous point. something that draws water into the stool is not going to fix it though. it almost makes it worse.

i go back to my nuero in late august and will talk to her about this but i want to try and stay on aimovig because it’s worked SO well for me. PLEASE help!!!!!!

can miralax make stool too soft to pass?

long story short, i’m on a migraine injections that causes constipation. i know that it causes it for me so i will take miralax when i have no BM for 24 hours. here’s what’s been going on:

took miralax: had a bm:
thursday. friday
sunday night. sunday night (liquid)
tuesday
wednesday

it’s currently sunday. so almost a week since a good BM.

im wondering if ive gotten the stool too be so mushy that i cannot push it out/theres nothing for me to push against? is that a thing? do i need to lay off the miralax? i really dont have pressure or the urge to go. i dont feel uncomfy. when i do try to go, there is just mushy mess on the TP. how can i bulk the stool back up enough to get it out?

ETA: so ive done a lot of research. the medication constipation i’m used to is from zofran and that sucks all of the water out of your stool. this aimovig medication just slows down your gut a lot. so my stool is not dry and i’ve found that i’m adding stool softener so i’m basically in need of more of a motility helped rather than a softener 😅😅😅😅

what is your absolute favorite lip shade?

i’m getting engagement pics next week and want to buy a new lip liner today!

i feel like pinky nude looks bad on me! what is your favorite color/shade to wear (reds, berry pinks, nude, peach, browns, light pinks, etc)?

opinions on milani conceal and perfect 2 in 1 foundation?

i have engagement picture NEXT week and have discovered that the foundation i absolutely love (elf hydrating cc cream) is breaking me out very very bad.

i need a FULL coverage foundation that has not acne causing ingredients. from some extensive research, milani conceal and perfect 2 in 1 foundation seems to be one that fits this category. i have dry skin if that helps.

i currently use loreal true match and the coverage is just way too light for professional photos!

what can i wear under a tight white dress so that you can’t see it?

i’m getting my engagement pictures done next week. i’ve tried on about 8 dresses and you can see any bra i try on in any of them. i’ve also tried nipple covers but you can see them. i’ve tried nude, white, and hot pink (someone said you can’t see red and this was the closest i had lol). the ones that you can barely see the color, the lines stick out bad. im small chested (32A) so i really do not need support, just coverage 😭

not sure if it’s because i’m so fair skinned that the color is just harsh, but i’ve gotta get it figured out asap!

are there any things to see with easy walking/hiking

we have a trip planned to banff for may 3-8. I recently got diagnosed with a medical condition (POTS) that has recently proven it is going to be hard for me to walk miles upon miles without fainting. i have read through many posts here today, but still wanted to get insight from people who have been!

i know this is not ideal because this is truly an outdoorsy vacation, but i’m wondering if there are still any pretty things to see that are not as treacherous of a walk/hike?

this will be our honeymoon if that means anything. we will be renting a car as well 🤍

3 months on tretinoin update (0.025% cream)

want to preface by saying, this is the same side, i just started using the reverse camera for better quality so it’s flipped!!

my goal was/is to decrease acne and congestion!

am routine:
- wash with water (i know, i need to start washing in the morning too but im lazy)
- good molecule hyaluronic acid serum
- the ordinary sunscreen
- the ordinary moisturizer: natural factors + HA

pm routine:
- byoma creamy jelly cleanser
- sulfacetamide sodium wash (rosacea/perscribed)
- metronidazole (rosacea/perscribed)
- good molecule hyaluronic acid serum
- vaseline under eyes and on eye lids (prevents irritation for me, i do NOT apply tretinoin around eyes)
- the ordinary moisturizer: natural factors + HA
- let dry 30 minutes**
- apply tretinoin with 13 dot method
- let dry 10 minutes **
- the ordinary moisturizer: natural factors + HA

i am very happy so far with how everything is going! i have had a bit of an issue with my eyelids getting sensitive even though i do not apply it here. i think i was applying it too close in between my eyebrows though so, ive stopped doing that. i am currently doing every other day and am going to hold here for a bit so my skin can adjust.

i have dry, but very acne prone and sensitive skin. i had a little issue in “month 1 complete” where i had tried a new foundation that was unfortunately not acne safe.

overall, i had a temporary increase in acne but, no major peeling. i noticed some minor peeling under my foundation for a few weeks after increasing days, but thats it! i appreciate all of the help so far. any recommendations or questions are welcome :)

u/SectionLopsided4189 — 30 days ago

makeup will not last through the day.

is this a foundation issue, or setting spray issue?

i literally work at an office job in the ac, and at the end of the day none of my makeup is there.

foundation: loreal true match foundation
setting spray: nyx glue setting spray
setting powder: milani loose setting powder

any recommendations/replacements that are acne safe ? elf power grip used to help it stay so well but it gives me very bad acne!

NMIP. Natural red hair, pale, blue eyes. Wanting to determine my season! Images were all taken within 5 minutes of eachother with the same lighting. Right of the bat i can see that the second image looks most healthy in my opinion.

Is Banff and Lake Louise area a good idea in early May?

Not really interested in skiing so that not being open is okay with us! We’ve went very back and forth for months one where we want to go, and this is our absolute top pick. It does fit in our budget, just looking on insight for this time of year!!

Edit to add: Dates are May3-8

Also, open to any recommendations on things to do, places to see, things to eat, etc. 🤍💍

what drugstore foundation is light enough for yall/NOT orange?

i’ve searched high and low for an affordable foundation. when i find one that might work, it breaks me out SO bad because im so acne prone (and i have dry skin).

i even try the cool tone shades and they break me out bad.

some i’ve recently tried just so nobody wastes their time:

- loreal true match: wears so bad no shade match light enough
- elf satin glow: looks BEAUTIFUL, gave me one of the worst breakouts i’ve ever had
- rimmel multitasker: very orange lol
- elf halo glow: bad break outs, is light enough
- elf hydrating cc: beautiful coverage and color, very bad breakouts
- maybelline skin tint: broke me out
- wet n wild tinted hydrator: does not have a light enough shade :-(
- maybelline fit me: oxidized bad on me lol!
- loreal lumi le skin tint: beautiful color! perfect match, broke me out
