If you were involved in a highly controversial criminal incident WYR have a jury of your peers or an A.I. jury? (Read the body text for more info)

The incident you were involved in was highly controversial and it's been covered nationally for weeks. Think the cases of Kyle Rittenhouse, Karmelo Anthony, Tyler Robinson, and Luigi Mangione.

A lot of the public has already decided you're guilty and a lot of the public has already decided you're innocent.

Even government officials have weighed in on it saying if they feel you're guilty or innocent.

Do you go with a jury of your peers or an A.I. jury?

If you go with the jury of your peers there's a good chance you end up with a fair jury but also a good chance you end up with a biased jury.

If you go with the A.I. jury, the verdict will be whatever the A.I. deems to be the most reasonable verdict based on what you did and what you could have done. However, it won't consider the situation from a human standpoint.

Judges and DAs who let people off easy for serious crimes and they commit more crimes should face punishment

It makes no sense how someone can assault people multiple times and still only receive days not even a full month in jail/prison. Only to then probably kill someone and only then will they receive a serious punishment like they should have already gotten and the people behind their charges/sentencing face no real legal consequences for their enabling of dangerous individuals.

Judges and DAs who do this need to start being actually punished for making society more dangerous because of their leniency for people who commit serious crimes.

Massive lawsuits, loss of their position, even jail/prison time if serious enough. That will make them think twice before picking favorites in the justice system at the expense of society's safety.

A lot of people are only anti-bigotry when it's convenient

A lot of people who claim to be against hate or bigotry don't actually understand what that means and think they can just say it to be seen as a "good person."

Bigotry is when someone is treated differently usually negatively and their identity or beliefs are the main reason as to why.

If you are anti something that means you stand against it.

So if you're anti-bigotry that means or should mean you stand against bigotry. There should be no confusion of this or trying to twist it to mean something else. I don't know how to make it any more clearer than that.

But unfortunately a lot of people start being wishy washy when the bigotry is from and directed towards certain groups.

For example when it's from a POC towards white people or from women towards men.

Here's some "justifications" they usually say for this phenomenon:

- "They don't have the power to oppress"

- "You're more privileged than them"

- "They experienced a certain negative historical event"

- "When was the last time their bigotry got someone hurt or killed?"

- "Their bigotry isn't as prevalent"

- Etc

So while they think they're more enlightened for pulling excuses out of their ass like a magician's hat trick for people being a POS because they happen to be born a certain way, I'll be real about this behavior.

If you do this, you can't genuinely say you're anti-bigotry. Because you're clearly not and only are when it's convenient. You can keep lying to yourself and other ignorant individuals, but once you do this you have exposed that you do have tolerance for bigotry.

My question to these individuals is why is it so hard to just be against bigotry no matter who it's towards or from? It's like they have active adversity to stand up for people who look a certain way as ironic as that is.

Nobody should "just deal" with bigotry because of how they were born or what certain events happened in history they weren't alive for and can't go back in time to change or prevent.

Two things can be true at the same time. People shouldn't be justifying bigotry at all and at the same time some groups face bigotry more often than others. One doesn't have to cancel the other out.

Oh and for those who keep saying bigotry towards certain groups has no real effect on them, yes it does and you're either ignorant or purposely dishonest if you think it doesn't.

I'm going to bypass how it's basically a form of bullying since people obviously act like that just doesn't matter to these groups.

But there have been white people, men, etc that were hurt or killed because of bigotry. The biggest way is through defamation.

Remember "believe all women?" That was a statement said and echoed to automatically believe women who make SA accusations even if they could be false because they're women. A bigoted mindset to have.

I don't care how rare it is, but one too many men have had their lives destroyed because of false accusations that were believed by a lot of people simply because they were made by a woman and they wanted to "believe all women" or "be an ally."

They lost touch with friends and family, they couldn't go out in public without bad looks, certain job and career opportunities weren't easily as available to them anymore, they were physically assaulted, or even couldn't handle all the bullshit anymore and decided to end it all. But hey, at least people were more committed to being an ally. That's all that matters in these cases and is why it's still done to this day despite proof of how many lives were devastated because of this.

Edit: For those who think this isn't an issue. Why is there a push to change the definition of racism so only certain groups can be labeled racist? Because they've been told their bigotry is basically harmless for so long that they feel like they should be exempt from being called bigots. The "racism is prejudice + power" crowd.

Low TTK shooter games require less skill than high TTK shooter games

For my non gamers out there let me explain what this term mean.

TTK - means Time To Kill. It's how fast you die in the game when being engaged in combat. The faster you die the lower the TTK is the longer it takes to die the higher the TTK is.

Usually if a game gives you 100 or less health it's a fast TTK game. If it gives you more usually it's a high TTK game.

When I first started playing shooter games I was fine with low TTK games, but as I've grown and played high TTK games I much rather prefer them.

In low TTK games you're basically dead if someone sees you first, that's it. Unless they have bad aim or are extremely slow on shooting their gun, you don't get a chance to respond most of the time.

In high TTK games, just because you got seen and shot first doesn't mean it's over for you. You can still utilize the movement to get to cover and challenge the opponent again when you're ready. It is on them to stay on your ass until you're dead or risk having to engage you when you're healed and are more ready for them. This is what takes more skill and it's also more forgiving for connection issues and desync.

This isn't to say I just don't like low TTK shooter games anymore, but just that I much prefer high TTK shooter games now and like being able to actually fight back instead of accepting my fate because I was seen first.

Please understand the silence around the matchmaking is intentional

Since the matchmaking has been ruined according to a large amount of people there has only been silence on it. No confirmation on if this was on purpose or a bug. Since it's been so long since it happened, it's safe to say it's on purpose.

They're also not blind to the feedback of people saying they don't like the matchmaking system.

It's going to stay like this until the next major update or forever since they already know they have your money and if it's the latter, I hope people respond accordingly when deciding to buy the upcoming title.

I hate how certain situations have to happen in a certain manner for some people to really care about them

I'm referring to people who go from basically unmoved and unbothered when a bad situation happens to having the eagerness of a hungry animal that was just thrown food depending on how the situation happened and who was involved.

An example is people who "just happen" to come across videos of two or more people of different races where someone ends up dead.

But whenever a video comes out of people of the same race in the same situation, those people are nowhere to be found and if they are talking about it, it gets way less coverage and emotion from them than it frankly should a lot of the time.

Some will say "it's because they're trying to bring attention to bigotry." But if you ask me and from what I've seen a lot of people only act like this because they want to reaffirm negative thoughts they have in their minds about a different group of people and spread it to others and make it seem reasonable.

Take the Iryna Zarutska situation for example. You mean to tell me there weren't any cases of white people beating up or killing other white people around that point in time? No, people intentionally focused on this case more because a guy who wasn't white killed Zarutska so they could get their "black fatigue" narratives off. They don't really care about her and her family, they want people to scrutinize and have disdain towards black people. The funny thing is Zarutska likely politically disagreed a lot with the Leo who used her murder for their political gain.

Another example is how people claim to care about innocent POC being harmed but they don't really give a fuck about places Iike Chicago, more specifically Southside Chicago. The numbers places Iike that put up for shootings even if they don't result in deaths is absurd even for this country. A lot of those victims are innocent POC too even kids and elderly. Why don't they get the same attention as when a POC is shot by a cop even before we know all the facts because the cop is white? Because people want justification to hate cops more specifically white cops and convince others to hate them as well. A whole black family could be killed and these people wouldn't lose a day of sleep over it if a white cop didn't do it.

It's simple to understand why politics is the way is?

Politics these days is intentionally about dividing and conquering not unity and finding solutions. If you think otherwise you haven't been paying attention, are being naive, or aren't being honest.

People don't wait for midterms and Presidential elections to make the country better. They wait for them so they can hope their preferred candidates of their preferred party gets in and gives them their way regardless of how everyone else especially those not politically aligned with them feels or will be affected by their wants.

Then they hope their party constantly holds majority power throughout future elections because as far as they're concerned life is only good when their party is in power even though that's impossible in a Democracy and if they happen to lose power the opposing party will come in and undo a lot of stuff they did mostly out of spite and Tribalism and implement their own changes regardless of how everyone else especially those not politically aligned with them feels or will be affected by them.

It's not about building off of what the previous administration did to eventually get towards a realistic and good solution to problems society has been facing for far too long. It's about ridiculing it and tearing it down to show power and "get back" at them and implementing one's own will over others and saying "everything is fine because we're in power now" even if it isn't.

Too many voters easily fall victim to propaganda that tells them the other side only exists because of stupidity and evil. They're told and believe everyone that isn't aligned with them is only that way because they want what's worst for society for shits and giggles. Not that they have different ideas of how to move society forward. They intentionally focus on extremists and less informed individuals to paint the whole opposite side in a certain light in a manner they hate when done to their own side to reaffirm their beliefs of the opposite side. They actively cheer for stagnation if the solution involves reaching across the battlefield to make compromises and admit some of their views are flawed and the other side has points. They get complacent voting for the "lesser of two evils" instead of not voting for any "evil" and demanding better because the other side winning is just "too much of a risk." The higher ups know and understand this, that's why they don't really have to try anymore.

The current way politics works didn't get here by accident. It's been carefully crafted for years and years and for those who benefit from it, it's working as intended. It's not a problem for them, the problem for them is those who refuse to fall in line and try to shake things up. That's why there's this disdain towards those who still understand nuance is a thing and don't fall for the Us vs Them mentality or those of their own political side who don't just blindly go along with everything because of party loyalty or whatever.

You think they really give a shit about how much you're paying to survive? How you have to give your best years to a job where you're easily replaceable to afford things you need? How they've convinced people you haven't even met to want the worst to happen to you for having different views? That your kids really aren't being set up for the future of Adult life?

When was the last time these politicians talked about a better work-life balance?

When was the last time these politicians really talked about division in the country outside of when political violence happens?

When was the last time these politicians talked about how students aren't even taught the laws in their own state, what taxes are and how to do them, how to be financially responsible, etc?

It's a game and we've constantly been the losers for years and years. Aren't y'all tired of losing?

A slower TTK makes the games more enjoyable

I just got around to playing the BO2 port and man does it not feel good being melted over and over again. Now I see why I didn't finish getting diamond camo on all the weapon classes in the game.

You have maybe 1-2 seconds to respond to getting shot or you're dead and combined with the limited movement you won't be able to get to cover fast enough if you're too far away from it.

This is far too unforgiving when COD timing is a thing and as soon as you look away from a spot someone can round it and beam you before you know what happened. You basically have to almost camp or have your head on a swivel constantly which is annoying.

I much prefer games like BO4 where I actually have a chance to respond to being seen and shot first. You have an easier time going on streaks and since the game has better movement you can actually try to get to cover and challenge the enemy again once you're ready.

Also for the people who say "a fast TTK makes dealing with campers easier." In my experience no it doesn't. If anything it makes it easier for people to camp because all they have to do is pre-aim and wait for you to come though the entrance and you have a 50/50 or 40/60 chance of killing them depending on who shot first and has better hit registration and aim. Also that's assuming they stay in the same spot and don't rotate to a different one in the same area.

I just think the core games from now on need a more forgiving TTK like BO4 and hardcore can be for those who want people who want R6S style unforgiveness in gunfights. Hell, I even think R6S gives you more time to respond to enemy shots unless you get dealt a headshot.

More people need to start challenging society

Looking back at history a lot of progress that was made in society happened because people challenged societal norms more often than they do these days. Too often do people see or hear something that doesn't sound like it makes complete sense but they just go with it anyway because society has normalized it and they think it has to be good or correct since society accepts something being a certain way.

Where would we be without:

- Socrates and the Socratic method

- Martin Luther and The 95 Theses

- Galileo and the Heliocentric Theory

- Martin Luther King Jr and his push for Desegregation

- Mary Wollstonecraft and her A Vindication of the Rights of Woman Essay

- Isaac Newton and his Laws of Gravity

- Etc

All of that and more helped contribute to positive things in society that didn't use to be a thing because too many were too complacent not "going against the grain"  or thinking "it's best not to question why things are the way they are."

Now people are too scared to ask certain questions, say how they really feel, or challenge views and beliefs because they're worried about societal approval or their reddit karma on this site.

Just like with a lack of inventions these days compared to the past society has forgotten how the world was shaped and has grown comfortable with life being as is and not trying to "agitate the gravel." A lot of people won't admit it or doesn't see it, but this is why a lot of things in life aren't how they should be when people know they could be different and better.

A good example is the disdain and annoyance with non voters or people who vote third party. If neither of the main two parties has done enough to earn one's vote why should they give in to societal pressure and vote for one of them anyway for the approval of others? No, they're right to demand more from the parties if they want their votes and those just taking whatever they're given and have blind loyalty to the parties are the ones making a mockery of the political system.

How do you grind without succumbing to tedium?

There's still a lot of cars I want to buy in the game. However, I'm going to need millions and millions of dollars to do that.

When i first started playing I didn't mind the grind but as of recently I just can't stand it anymore. It feels like a job and I hate it. I don't want to feel like I'm just playing the same uninteresting activities many times over just to get cars that I want even though that's what I'm doing.

I want to grind without feeling like I'm grinding again. How do y'all do it?

I would argue recent presidential candidates are a reflection of the majority voters

People like to say we need a presidential candidate that represents the people and that recent candidates haven't been up to that standard and haven't been for some time. I would argue they are representing the people.

It's a common consensus that we're voting for the lesser of two evils and a lot of people seem to be fine with this. So, they're basically admitting they know the candidates aren't really good but they're just hoping one preferably the one representing their side is less bad and they'll vote for them. If you're fine with your candidate just being less bad than the other candidate, why does your party have to put forth an actually good candidate if they know they likely have your vote either way?

Also the average voter doesn't take politics as seriously as they think they do. They talk about division in the country, but they eat it up and even help further it themselves. They also don't tend to focus on things that really matter at least in presidential elections and are easily swayed by Tribalistic wins for stuff that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

They've also shown that they will gleefully cheer for stagnation and regression if the other choice is conversation and meeting in the middle with the opposite side and attack any of their members that do try to reach a bipartisan solution especially on controversial topics.

If the voters want better candidates the voters have to better themselves when participating in politics. I think people just have a problem seeing their actions actually have consequences when it comes to elections and think they deserve Theodore Roosevelt or JFK style candidates while they don't hold themselves to a higher standard that they want the candidates to be.

Console Devs need to do more against USB device cheating

It is absurd that consoles keep getting more and more expensive and yet the console devs refuse to acknowledge this problem.

People shouldn't be able to plug in a device and have any form of cheats against other players. Whether it be a Cronus Device, Titan Two Device, a USB with Savewizard on it, etc.

Even if they can't detect these devices for some reason, why can't they work together with game Devs to ban these people? If you're found to be cheating on any game using these devices, you should be temporarily suspended from Xbox, Nintendo, and/or PlayStation the first time and permanently the next time.

That would cut down on the amount of cheaters on consoles. Surely it's better than what they're doing now.

How the U.S. can move forward racially

First we need to understand that no matter what we have done or try to do, there will always be racism and racists. That's not stuff that will ever go away unfortunately and is just a flaw in humanity like illness and death. The only thing you can do is try to convert racists out of their racism. That doesn't mean telling them racism is bad or beating them up and being shocked it doesn't work, it means having thought out conversations on why they're racist and why they believe racism is good for the country. You obviously don't listen to agree with them, but you listen so you know how to effectively respond back and help them see the error of their ways. I know it's hard for some especially those who they're being racist against, but you have to try.

Second, we need to use more critical thinking when situations regarding people of different races happen negatively. Just because it's super obvious to assume doesn't mean it was the reason something happened. It's totally possible a white cop could just be a POS and happen to abuse their power against someone who isn't white. That doesn't mean the cop hasn't also abused their power against a white person before. Also with how the media works certain stories get more coverage and attention for personal gain and because they know too many in society are gullible and ignorant about how these things actually work.

Third, everyone needs to recognize systemic racism still exists. It might not be as bad as it was in the past. But it still unfortunately exists and there needs to be serious and thought out discussions on how to fix it. Not just saying stuff that sounds good or that has been applauded in echo chambers but realistically won't work out as people think it will.

Finally, the downplaying or justification of certain bigotry needs to end. I don't care what groups have experienced more of it, who has the most social power, etc. That is not an excuse to be a bigot towards others. Someone being a bigot against a certain group because of what a person or some people who are also part of the same racial group did isn't helping anything. If they want to vent about how those experiences make them feel that's fine, but when it crosses into bigotry that's not fine. If your tolerance for bigotry flip flops based on the skin color or race of the person or people doing it and receiving it, you have no room to talk about being against hate and discrimination. You're part of the problem even if you think you aren't. Also stop telling white people to just "suck it up and stop complaining" when they talk about bigotry against them because others may have it worse. It's bullying at the end of the day and Jim Crow isn't going to magically come back just because you acted like a normal and fair human being when a white person talks about racial bullying they have faced like you do for other groups.

I understand your average human isn't racist or obsessed with race like many terminally online individuals are and thank god. But I thought I would share my take on why some individuals still insist there are racial tension issues in the country.
