Do you guys think there will ever be merch aside from the cards themselves? Would you buy it.

I really like the designs of the cards and would personally love to see them as figures, dolls, or plushies, maybe even some mini doll lego sets or pins. Do you think this could ever happen. Would you want it to happen and would you buy them, why or why not? They could even do little figures with the box sets like I know pokemon does, or pins or coins like other card games.

Thoughts on pre movies fairies/Tinkerbelle merch and stuff?

I found this image whilst browsing Ebay a while back, its of 2007 "disney Fairies" kinder eggs, and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts on the pre movie merch for Tinkerbelle or attempts at making a Tinkerbelle franchise before the movies are, the one in the top right looks kinda like a proto Vidia and the lower left in blue almost reminds me of if Flora from winx was a different colour.

edit: also if anyone knows of other pre movie merch or products related to disney fairies and Tinkerbelle outside of the Peter Pan stuff (generally speaking it depends) that would be awesome for you to share in the comment's!

Was accosted today in a store, didn't have a meltdown? Small win maybe?

Today I went to my local drugstore that I have been going to basically since I was a little kid and was accosted by a drug addict woman in the candy isle, I have BAD anxiety (like it used to be just social but it got so bad I was upgraded to it now just saying "generalized anxiety disorder" instead of SAD" ) and I have bad (tho thankfully medicated) OCD and this lady looked like contamination incarnate, with really messed up track marks surrounded by infected pealing skin and also like really bad teeth... it was like a gender swap of that scene from the movie IT with Richie and the lepper...

she started asking me about youtube asking me if i was some youtubers daughter which I said no...she asked me multiple times if I "watched youtube" and I said no and then she said started mumbling about conspiracy nonsense... and then as i backed away she said something about how I and or we are gonna die... which... frightening lol...

on a sad note did NOT get the candies I wanted had to go to a different store, and got home and realize I forgot my snacks, little meat stick things...I am actually recommended them by a dr and everything for my diet 🫤... so I guess I will get those tomorrow? I got close to a meltdown in the car with my dad BUT I actually was able to hold it together, coming here to share my ODD day and story as idk if my friends wouldn't be a bit to...idk... picking apart my story as being kinda unwoke or smth for lack of a better word because shes probably not mentally all there and unhoused and stuff and I have no one to share it with other than my family AND ALSO my small win so... 🤷‍♀️ thoughts? commiserations?...anything? idk what to feel about this whole situation tbh... it made me oddly shaken as someone pretty much only afraid of dudes. why's weird stuff always happen to me...has a dude sniff my hair there a few times ago...it didn't used to be like this...am I just that innocent and inviting seeming? idk...

reddit suggested I post this here too so I did.

Does anyone have a clean image of Thinkway Buzz's Stickers?

I pulled out my old Toy Story toys and saw buzz is missing all of his stickers and its making me wonder if I could find a clean image of the Thinkway Toys ones from probably around 1999 (as I believe these are toy story 2 rereleases) so I can print them on my cricut. Thanks ☺️

They wonder why there's a male loneliness "epidemic" and I just can't anymore (or why the internet is partly to blame imo)

Obligatory I am not naming names because of reddits over all rules and this subreddits rules and please respect that. Edit: also have audhd and this was very off the cuff sorry if its hard to read or doesn't quite make sense open to clarify or correct things as people read this or point them out to me 💖.

I'm just gonna go from order of thing that got me annoyed enough to post this.

I am a film girlie, I love movies always have always will from arthouse to indie hollywood to foreign, but if you go to any subreddits based around film anytime the mere mention of inequity in film be it sexed and age based discrimination in film, to lgbt or poc or disability rep...theres a melt down, or if its a review/study of hollywood or major studio output, theres either dunking on or celebrating the fact women or other marginalized groups continue to be marginalized, and I just can't, people too lazy to read the article, people asking for methodology when its linked in the fucking article itself or if you google the title of said article its one of the first links is the media abstract that links to an advocacy because the fill abstract isn't published as its a work for hire sitch, and worst like you comment on it, dogpiled in down votes, the whataboutism, the apeal to 'capitalism and the free market' despite women being 95% of the fucking spending class per capita, I googled a guys name and to my shock and horror the dudes in a fucking parenting subreddit for dads which is INSANE to me.

I might be biased because my father only has daughters and is over all pretty healthy masculinity given his life and upbringing and fairly progressive but like fuck, these are the people others are having kids with, whose 'raising' the next generation.

It's not just this shitty niche thing with me today, its ALL over social media, a woman OR girl a literally freaking child can open up about casual misogyny and sexism or something as deep as sexual harassment or SA and then men and boys actual children with social media flock to the comments to be offended that these things are talked about, joked about, dismissed, or actively used to degrade and disparage women and girls. It sickens me to no end to see or hear stories of the shit young boys are saying in class in school or on the playground to little girls, to their teachers.

The dating world is just men wanting sex and nothing else some even seemingly using dating apps as a hook up app, others with intent to nag degrade and 'troll' women, and its not for a lack of hurting for options you get like hundreds of likes per day, thousands even, People I wouldn't think would be into me just are... and like I don't WANT it I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to get a date with some guy who sees me as just sex and not a human being or someone that's gonna nag me and shit.

Like this is probably tmi but between reading and audio I do occasionally visit adult websites from time to time and I noticed how unhinged and degrading its gotten... like it used to be bad and disgusting but its gotten properly in the like "this seems sick even though these people are 'consenting' adults".

Also like I know its problematic but I watch like those cop cam videos sometimes and the amount of men who SA people or who are child predators is fucking INSANE to me and how frequent it is but its not shocking because I was groomed as a child in my tweens and teens by these exact type of men and also like assaulted and sexually harassed in public on busses in school, fuck I had a guy sniff my hair at the store a few weeks ago, they continuously vote against our bodily autonomy or access to health care.

I have ocd and used to freaking have a theme of checking and re checking my dresses and skirts measurements before school because I was terrified I would be sent home or asked to change because of men and boys own minds at the expense of my own. I feel like sometimes we are even barred from talking about just the reality of living with a female body or female parts or the cost of being a person who is female at birth or identity from childhood in women's very freaking spaces online and irl. Like as a side not while ranting I have accused or even banned from online forums for the idea I might be a terf because I mentioned playing a specific video game as a child because of the authors nonsenses AND ALSO too big a lgbt/trans advocate in spaces... (not banned for the latter but like still)

this got really trauma dumpy and off topic and I am sorry but I am just so sick of it, catering to men in every aspect of life no matter how devoid or decentered they are in ur reality or day to day life.

Help name my Husky!

Hey everyone, so I actually have been planning on getting a box of cards for a while now (like on my wish list for like months) and I did, and my pet code card is a Husky, thing is I don't know what to name, Him? Her? idk, maybe you can help me pick the gender too 😂, Right now I like Frostbite for a girl (this one just speaks to my inner wolf OC girl), Balto for a boy (obviously), or Ghost which is SORT of a GoT reference even tho I only watched like one season of that show but I do love that for a husky or wolf dog, probably a boy husky because ghost is a boy in the show. Open to any suggestions on other names and their genders! thanks everyone!

Edit: TYSM everyone, I decided on naming him Balto, especially because I realized that the winter mint husky looks soooooo much more like a Frostbite than the standard Husky! 💕

Why do I feel like I just joined a very expensive cult 😂!

Like I am obsessed with my new Lila doll shes so like grounding and fun to have around (audhder) and like just fun... Also if you saw that post I shared about going to the grove AG store when I went to cali as a Tween/Early teen maybe and doing a kinda wisper beg to my mom but also feeling too embarrassed to like properly ask for the doll because god forbit the entirely adult tour bus I was on think I am a baby for being a child who wants a doll (also high key remember some woman who must have been rich because she was loading up on dolls (multiple) and accessories and pets and horses and such. I digress, this is awsome and as a canadian girlie cant wait to go get some maplelea dolls and close to go with her have a canadian and american girl doll moment. Right now I am just trying really hard to not buy a bunch of clothes for her on amazon (some of the of brand sets BUT also some of the official ones like the heart one thats lowkey giving jennifer's body)

This is mostly a vent, but I would love to hear other women’s stories and perspectives too.

So the other day was May the 4th, and it got me thinking about how I first watched Star Wars as a teenage girl during the Tumblr era, right before The Force Awakens came out. I thought the movies were cute and fun. Not super serious, but with some decent political commentary in the newer ones (for the time) and that classic movie charm, especially in the second one that is actually the fifth one. Empire, I think. Point is, I enjoyed Star Wars. I had played some of the games with cousins as a kid, but mostly I was coming at it with the eyes of a teenage girl and not a little boy, so it was cute but not like the literally a pillar of my identity or whatever it is to guys lmao.

So the outrage that the two movies after TFA got really shocked me. I genuinely enjoyed them and hyperfixated on the universe for a bit, but by the final sequel I was just done. I finished The Mandalorian season one because I was halfway through and Grogu was cute, and then I just stopped. I like the idea of Star Wars, but the fandom is so male dominated and so aggressive that it drove me away. It didn’t help that some male cast members made degrading comments about the female characters, or that one voice actor from a Star Wars cartoon chimed in on the discourse by complaining that a very obvious conclusion the movie wanted you to draw should have been spoon fed to the audience. At this point, outside of the Disney parks stuff, I haven’t really cared about Star Wars in years. Ironically people still gift me Star Wars things because of my old hyperfixation, but I don’t love them.

The other big one is gaming. My sister and I grew up with a healthy amount of computer games, and our grandpa was a gamer too. But male dominated gaming spaces feel so uncomfortable. You’re either sexualized or policed in ways I can’t even describe. And something I’ve noticed in femme and AFAB friendly spaces is that you can’t even talk about the old Harry Potter computer games, even though no one can buy them anymore because they came out in like 2000. For a lot of girls my age, I feel like those were our intro to “real” games because they were seen as neutral. I’m not talking about the new game, I mean the ancient PC ones like Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. It feels like you can’t even discuss the politics of how girls were introduced to gaming back then. Maybe I’m missing something because I’m audhd, but it feels like in gaming spaces you’re either “that friend that's a little too woke” or “the most racist man alive” Also its weird how some groups even banned even mentioning hogwarts legacy when it had a trend of female gamers picking up more action based open world gaming for the first time on tiktok and insta...like that is the most women in gaming moment ever and its like??? you hate them for it?????? You can buy used video games or be gifted them? also some were just mad because misandry? It was frustrating because some people reacted with this weird hostility toward women getting into gaming, and it felt like a lot of that came from male entitlement to the space. I don’t mean trans women or enby folks at all, just the way certain men behave in women‑centered gaming spaces. It feels like there’s no nuance allowed, and it becomes impossible to talk about how girls were introduced to gaming without someone assuming the worst.

also this one is pretty painful because its something more bittersweet nostalgic because of male fans and entitlement. I was a big bookworm and eventually got into comics. My dad would take me to the comic store every weekend from middle school through high school. As I got older I got busier, but I still went sometimes. Then one day new male employees were working, and it was a slow day, and I heard them whispering jokes about me being in the store because I was a girl. It completely tainted the space for me. These were guys I had never seen before, replacing the cool, diverse staff the store used to have. It was one of the first moments after my NLOG phase where I realized “oh, people really do treat me like any other girl because I am just a girl.” It stuck with me.

And lastly, I was a huge horse girl. I loved My Little Pony G3 as a little kid and G4 as a tween, plus stuff like The Saddle Club and Horseland. But Jenny Nicholson’s video about bronies explains everything better than I could. I still cringe when I hear about adult male MLP fans. It got pretty upsetting for me personally, and I don’t want to get into the details, but a lot of these fandoms had people who were more than ready to try to groom me or literally did. I love being a woman, but wow, some spaces made it hard to feel safe.

(edit I also wanna add horror is weird its a fandom and form of media that has a complicated history to women but I find SOME of the male fans to be sweet as ever and others that are like super aggressive and overly edgy or whatever, it doesn't ruin that fandom I need to be more discerning but like yeah also ironically some of the male fans do make me semi concerned like "what ARE you getting out of these movies" )

(edit 2 I edited a bit of the gaming bit because I think some of that didn't come across how I meant idk...I am trying to discuss a thorny topic as best I can whilst being very audhd pls gimme grace?)

Hey everyone! So I just got my first AG doll, Lila! I’m from Canada, so most of my exposure to AG growing up was through the other media more than the actual dolls.

When I was a tween/early teen, I went to The Grove on a trip to Cali and tried to ask/beg my parents for one… with zero success because I was way too embarrassed to admit I still wanted a doll at that age lmao (can’t have the tour bus of random adults thinking I’m a baby now could we 😂🥲).

But as a doll collector, the urge to get an 18‑inch doll has been tugging at me for a while, and I finally caved. I was going to get either an AG or a Maplelea, but the Maplelea girl I wanted sold out.

Now that I have Lila, I want to actually do something with her instead of just sitting her on my shelf… so… idk, what do people do with them? Any ideas for a new collector?

(also I didn't know what to flare this because it kinda dips into nostalgia for me, also international collector, and also discussion)

so my river came today fairly early (didn't even get a email saying she was sent out) and, I opened her and noticed the hour glass had plastic behind it and so I attempted to remove it carefully and it exploded all over my room and myself... it is literally a glitter bomb, don't be stupid like me. other than that I really enjoy the doll? It's literally like a bomb went off in here.

woke up last night/early morning and was bursting so ran to the toilet sat down then looked at my undies and there was nothing... and I was like "wait where's my pad" it was stuck to my hair dangling in in the bowl and subsequently in my stream. Also tbc I fished it out kinda and just threw it in the trash (it didn't fully fall in as it was stuck to my hairs) and yeah... This is my sign to take others advice and invest in period undies/boxers but I just needed to share this with someone. How's everyone else doing?

Sorry if this is a bit odd I looked for a old post and the oldest one on the topic is like from over a decade ago, I am mostly wondering because its my mom is a BIG monster movie fan and her along with my uncle (also sorta my older sister) got me into dinos and monsters (my mom LOVES dinos and king kong and godzilla but she really loves kong and dinos) and I just think that its odd for the time that I was renting kaiju movies and obsessed with dinos and dragons at the same time as idk like horses/mlp and dolls and stuff and am wondering how common this is? I know lots of like males like kaiju but idk I am more asking for the girlies, also it got me into creature design to a degree I really love how fantasy creatures look (that and those old spiderwick books also kids horror) also whos ur fave monster? I love kiyru from godzilla against mecha godzilla I really liked that one as a little kid and then I also really love godzilla 98 shes so cool!

(sorry if this post isn't allowed I can always take it down etc, also I am a audhd girlie so hope this comes across right sorry if its worded weird)

Just wondering, I bought her because I love the design and love lil spooky reapers, but I was just wondering if anyone has like taken apart the head or at least explained how it works or seeing what it looks like inside. Also is the hourglass in the package like a real thing or just printed?
