🩺 MEDICAL NOTES:

Avalon is heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed and on preventative. She was spayed on 8/3 and received her DA2PP-V booster on 8/10.

Behavior Notes:

Avalon is very sweet and gentle. She is calm and quiet in her kennel, often relaxing on her bed throughout the day. She walks nicely on a loose leash, accepts pets and treats, and has greeted staff with a relaxed body, wagging tail and even an open-mouth smile.

Avalon can occasionally appear timid or worried, but she remains gentle and easy to handle. She generally pays little attention to other dogs while passing their kennels and has calmly sniffed a neighboring dog through the fence.

🔹 Intake:
Stray- One German Shepherd roaming on the freeway. Appeared to be an older dog.

📝 Shelter Notes:

7/19/2026: After opening the kennel while customers were walking through the row, Jackson became very vocal with high-pitched nonstop barking whenever people walked past. His kennel was covered with a sheet to help reduce stimulation.

Heartworm test: Positive.

Vaccinated (Rabies, Bordetella, DA2PP-V), dewormed, and flea prevention administered.

Bilateral moist ear discharge and head shaking noted.

Extremely long nails.

Both ears cleaned and treated with Claro.

Nails trimmed.

7/19/2026:

Weighed 59.0 lbs.

Routine medical recheck.
