worth applying after health issues and uoft killed my GPA?

i had a bumpy undergrad with health issues and 1 really bad year in particular dragging down my entire degree average. However, if some schools look at my top 10 full credits--my average for that is a 77-78%. Even the schools that look at just top credits--am i still a bad candidate because of my overall gpa (its like a 69%). I did an education studies minor which had me do a 100 hour internship in a kindergarten classroom, and i volunteered a bit at a pediatric speech-language pathology clinic. I did a psych major and linguistcs minor as well. getting an honours BSc. I'm applying for the next cycle this fall (programs starting in May). I wanna teach Primary. should i even apply? would it be worth taking a couple summer courses to boost my top 10 credit average to an 80? I can explain my health circumstances but don't have super solid proof as it was a complicated autoimmune disease. I do have a strong upward trend in my degree that reflects a turnaround point after i discovered how to cure myself. I'd like to go to western or uoft but i know it's competitive. My school (uoft) is notorious for marking harshly but idk if teacher colleges care at all 😞 --like commonly in psych courses I'd get like a B, however the course average for the class would be a C or even C-... My transcipt shows course averages so that may put my average in context. Anyone with a similar profile that got in? Also do schools care if you did some semesters part-time? Should i try other provinces--Ualberta is somewhat appealing to me. Can i save myself for western by studying well for the Casper?

Canadian applicants with a mid GPA/sub-GPA--where do u apply?

I know a mid gpa isnt good enough for canada--so where do you apply? any schools in buffalo or new york or the uk? where's cheap or convenient?

I know uAlberta gives you a shot with 3.4 sub-gpa if you fall under a number of like equity requirements or something but im out of province so idk my chances. its tough cuz u need a stellar sub-gpa here, but schools abroad always look at cgpa it seems. are there any lowkey ot schools in canada that i might not have heard of? Anyone know admission stats for USask. im from ontario btw

How is the CDA program???

Got in but already accepted georgian. But maybe i can still accept durham. I live in Mississauga is it possible to commute from home? How many days a week are u on campus? how do placements work? I know for georgian i'd have to move. Also how old are people in this program. are most right out of undergrad? a couple years after undergrad (people giving up on slp perhaps)? thanks so much for any insight!

Student life at western for mid-20s?

Considering doing teachers college at western because of student life that my undergrad completely lacked. But i'd be 25 then however and i do want a good program. so how is the teachers college, and how is student life at western in your mid-20s? Should i just commute to uoft cuz im from the gta. Would i feel like im generally surrounded by 17-22 year olds? I wouldn't do hoco or frats and stuff that undergrads do--but I'd probably go out to restaurants and bars often and partipate in campus clubs. is the dating scene still good for older students there?

How is the teachers program (consecutive/after bachelors)

I am considering queens for teachers college in the next cycle. How is queens for teacher's college students or even master students/older students. My campus for undergrad was in my hometown and has terrible student life and i commuted so looking for something different. I know the trend is people from the gta go away for uni and then try to go to uoft for their masters so im doing the opposite if i go to queens, Next cycle of teachers college starts in may and is 1 year? I know people who loved queens for undergrad but idk about the student experience if i go there at 25. Are there a lot of grad programs or will i usually be surrounded by 17-22 year olds? I know my cohort would be people roughly my age, but just in general on campus and around campus--would i pretty much be surrounded by 17-22 year olds? Idk how much of this school is grad students.

Did SLP and OT waive the residency requirement?

Did SLP and OT grad program waive the residency requirement this year? Also, people who got in, what were your stats? And if they waived it for applications-did anyone actually get in. 2 separate questions I guess--1)do they take apps from out of province, 2) Did they accept anyone from out of province?

what do my crushes say abt me

Some of the ones that came up to the top of my head. it's not a crush solely based on the characters they played (tho maybe a bit subconsciously), but i mainly just think these men are attractive. put chace crawford twice cuz i like both hair styles and looks in these pics. i think adult "nate" is more my alley than highschool nate tho. are these all just good looking men or do i have a type and does this say something about me?

Teacher's college here or go to UK for SLP masters?

So I'm 24 and I accepted I won't get into SLP in this country. My original plan when I started university was to go to teacher's college and probably teach primary. I applied to the UK for slp and im waiting on results. I haven't applied to teachers college this year cuz i was set on slp so I'd have to wait for the next cycle (they all have a fall start right?) A plus is that now it's gonna be 1 year...but I always hear different stuff about the demand for teachers. Whereas for SLP, all i hear is that it's very in demand. I just don't really wanna go to the UK for 2 years, but i have a question for teacher candidates--does SLP seem worth going abroad over being a teacher? The SLP schools i applied to start this October and January. SLPs can make closer to 6 figures/year right after grad but I'd pay like 60k-70k total on tuition for a 2 year program and then have to pay living costs. my family is not high income, but I "saved" a bit by commuting for undergrad. i know there's more to it but money is important--teaching might be better short-term, slp might be better long-term? I would have visa and flight costs in the UK and international tuition, I'm scared of debt. I feel like I'll have no life here if i go to the UK and come back at 27. I majored in psychology, minored in linguistics, and minored in Education Studies. Another point is i hope to live in the GTA and on my own right after I'm done school or shortly after school, which seems impossible with the early teacher salary of like 60k?

this is kinda niche but mayyy help me get a stable teaching job faster--there's a few schools in the gta that are part of the catholic boards but are ukrainian/byzantine catholic faith based and i think all teachers there have to be baptised in a byzantine catholic church, which I am, so that may help me out but I'm not 100% sure. Also i would not be surprised if these schools closed in the next 20 years or if they will allow anyone to teach there then.

Also, would highschool be a better option than primary? given my undergrad subjects I think I'd only be able to teach social sciences and esl maybe. I wouldn't want to teach esl tho tbh

Lastly, as an SLP i can get a salary+benefits by working in the schools and since i wanna be closer to a 6 figures a year, i can do private practice in the summer. idk what teachers who want/need to work in summer do. do they tend to do serving jobs? (i know a couple teachers who do this)
