[TOMT][Web Video][2000s-Early 2010s] Newgrounds Tank Birth????

I brought this up in a conversation with my friend earlier and decided to post it here xd

It was something for the Newgrounds Tank Awards or something similar. I think I remember Tom Fulp helping some inanimate object (don't remember what it was) give birth to either a toy tank or something like a trophy for the awards that looked like a tank. It was really bizarre

It was called something along the lines of "It's a tank!", but I'm not sure abt that since searching for it gives no results. I know it was on YouTube, it mightve been deleted or taken down but I'm not sure. I think I remember finding it through a TV tropes page, but I don't know which, and searching on there also gives no results.

Apologies for this being pretty vague I watched this video once and only now has it resurfaced in my memory. I am literally only looking for this so my friend can laugh at it lol

How to deal with/help an unhealthy sp7

Me and my friends agree that my mom is an extremely unhealthy/destructive sp7. As in, she's so far gone into disintegration that I almost mistyped her as a 1. She has been like this for a significant portion of my life, and I'm in a situation where I cannot get away from her at the moment. Living with her has completely ruined my mental health and it will likely continue to.

I thought, since I have the enneagram, I might as well figure out ways to at least deal with her before I can get out of here and at most help her not ruin the lives of my younger siblings. Before you ask, she has completely refused to read up on the enneagram herself and used me talking to her about it as an excuse to blow up on me again.

So like what now

Hello. My therapist just told me I show symptoms of bipolar disorder with rapid cycling and that we'll have to see how it goes next session.

Not a real diagnosis ofc, but I'm not really not sure what to do right now. Should I continue waiting it out until our next session?? Try to get myself actually medicated?? Secret third thing??? Pls help

Is refusing to give your child medication for their mental health considered neglect??

I (16NB) have been struggling with mental health problems for a while now. Since I was 8-10, I believe. They've only gotten worse as I got older, and I recently convinced my mom to finally bring me to therapy (only took getting my dad involved to annoy her about it).

I am really thankful for that, but I feel like I need something more than therapy due to how serious the problems have gotten. They've been severely affecting multiple areas of my life, and for a while now.

Sadly, despite the rest of my family agreeing that I probably do need medication, my mom made a point in refusing if it's ever brought up by anyone, including my therapist. She also doesn't take my mental health very seriously in general, viewing suicidal thoughts as something to be punished for rather than to help. She got really really mad at me when the police came after I called a hotline but that's a story for another day

I'm planning on asking my therapist for a diagnosis on our next session in hopes it'll get her on the track to changing her mind about it, but it's she still refuses even after the other adults in my family tell her that I need it I'm wondering if this is considered neglect?? Since someone did tell me it was but I'm not very sure.

EDIT: For reference since I somehow forgot to mention earlier abd its relevant, I live in Nevada

How do I ask my therapist about getting a diagnosis??

Hi! My next therapy session is on the 15th, and I've been considering that I may need medication. I am aware that therapists cannot prescribe anything, but I think getting a diagnosis could be the first step to getting prescribed something, and I know therapists can diagnose you with stuff.

But I'm not sure what exactly I have, I just know something is deeply wrong (since im having frequent suicidal ideations which is decidedly not normal) but it could be literally anything from a severe anxiety disorder to BPD and doing more research only confuses me more.

I'm planning on asking my therapist about it on our next session, but I'm really confused on how to go about doing so when the time comes due to not suspecting one specific thing (and just generally having no idea lol). Please help!!

Feeling absolutely horrible even though literally nothing bad happened

For several days this week, I have been feeling like I've hit rock bottom and I have no idea why. Literally only good things have happened to me recently. I'm more likely to get on medication sooner rather than later due to several of my family members being supportive, and I'm planning on asking my therapist about a diagnosis so I know what to do from there. My friends (who cut me off due to my mental health affecting them) literally said they were happy I was seeing someone and just needed time to process things. Literally everything is objectively fine on every front I can think of.

Despite that, it feels like my mood's completely dropped these past few days. It's getting harder and harder to take care of myself or even eat, I've been getting more and more paranoid that my friends are lying about just needing to process things, and I've been having more and more thoughts that I'm a burden and shouldn't be here. I literally just woke up from the worst nightmare of my life. I don't know why I'm feeling this way at all and I'm scared

I don't know what to do other than wait until I can ask my therapist about getting diagnosed with something so I can get on the track to getting on medication that could save my life, but even that feels like I'm fighting an uphill battle. I'm getting more and more afraid that I'm gonna lose control of myself before then. I have no idea what to do, and I also don't know how to ask my therapist about a diagnosis when the time comes. Please help

Took several tests and got different results??? What do I do 😭😭

For reference: On the same website, I took the 50 item test, word test, and word choice test.

These were the results for each:

50 item - S|L|xAn, S(70%)L(90%)X(50%)A(86%)N(58%)

Word choice - |S|LoAn, S(81%)L(90%)O(44%)A(72%)N(76%)

Word - s|L|uAx, S(58%)L(90%)U(56%)A(80%)I(52%)

The L score's consistent, but everything else feels kind of all over the place. What do I do about this?? Any way to find my "real" type??? I'm so confused ToT

Trying to figure out what to do before my next therapy session

Hi! My second therapy session has been scheduled for the 15th of August. My therapist said we'd be working on my identity problems and grounding. I'd like to get a little ahead on that first thing, so I thought this would be a good place to figure that out.

I do not consider myself much of my own person. At most, I am an accessory to other people. I feel left out, even in groups I started. I also have had an inferiority complex for as long as I can remember. I tend to value the wellbeing of others above my own.

I know this probably needs to be worked on, but the problem is the things my brain says about me tend to end up becoming right, so any compliments or encouragement I give myself just feel like I'm trying to play into a delusion. I have been called stupid for being optimistic in hard situations. I will admit I very much am, everything other people say about me is usually correct to some degree.

I want to be better because my friends left me to "protect their peace", so to speak. They said they might come back if I get better. I want to reach a point where I can no longer be bothered by my feelings at all, and therefore not bother others with them and "use them as therapists" anymore. Which is hard because in our first session my therapist told me I need to talk to the people I trust when I'm suicidal, but I don't want to do that because that's what made my friends leave me. I don't want to bother people with my feelings, and I'd prefer to not feel anything at all at this point and be in a state of equilibrium forever so as to keep myself and the people around me safe and happy, but I know that's probably not possible so I'm trying to find the closest thing.

The only alternative to figuring this out is being doomed to be alone forever because of my mental illness and then having people question why I'm gone, and I don't really want that right now. Any help is welcome /gen

Any self-improvement advice for my specific type?

Hi! I've recently started therapy, and it's sparked an interest in using the enneagram as it's supposed to be used (a tool for growth). It's also sparked an interest in typology in general but that's besides the point

After some HEAVY RESEARCH, and communicating with others in the enneagram community, I have figured out that I am a so/sx 6w7, and my tritype is 693.

I'm wondering how to go about improving myself for the sake of others and myself as a couple months ago a friend group decided to distance themselves from me because I was an active suicide threat and kept (their words, not mine) "using [them] as therapists" (not very sure what exactly that means but I feel like it does have something to do with the 6 fixation) and so they've cut me off until I've gotten my shit together, and I'm trying to figure out how to get my shit together for the sake of not being dangerous anymore.

I've looked through the advice on the various resources from the masterpost, but I'm wondering if something more specific to my subtype n stuff is available ^_^ advice very welcome! Apologies if that last paragraph was me spilling my guts out I just thought some context would be useful here haha

First therapy session is tomorrow. I have a couple questions.

After years of needing it, I finally managed to convince my mother to let me see a therapist. She has an appointment for tomorrow.

She made a point in saying she'd refuse anything related to medication if the therapist brought it up, but I suspect that I may have something wrong with me that would need medication. How do I know that therapy alone isn't helping, and how would I go about changing her mind about medication if it does reach that point? I doubt money is an issue here, we are extremely well off financially.

Nervous about therapy

Hi! I made a post on this sub about therapy a while ago. I'm glad to say I have an appointment for my first session in 3 days!!! Just took getting my mom's ex involved for her to finally set one up haha

I am rather nervous about how it's going to go, though. My mom has a history of sabotaging literally anything related to my mental health for seemingly no real reason (as you'd guess it was an uphill battle to get her to agree to this in the first place because she straight-up doesn't know how therapy works and refuses to listen when corrected or anything because she seems to think she knows better than everyone around her), and I'm going to do these sessions online, so I'm not sure how much control she's going to try and take during them. I'm also unsure if she's going to try and cut things short after the first session. This therapist is on her insurance so I really hope not, but it's sadly still a possibility.

She also made a point that she'd refuse if the therapist said I'd benefit from being put on medication or anything of the like, and that makes me even more nervous since I've been doing research and I suspect that I may have something wrong with me that would need medication. I don't know how that will go either.

I'm not sure what exactly I'm here for myself, I guess I just want someone to be nice to me while I go through this. I hope things will get better for me.

And down down down i go

I wish things were better
I wish I wasnt so stupid

But i know nothing good will come of me anymore
I know you never want to see me again
I can see why anyway
It only hurts you to do anything to change it
Not like i ever could anyway

I guess the only thing to do now is to grant your wish
Make you happy again

Even if it didnt seem like it I loved and cared for you
But I know it doesnt matter now

Feeling helpless like my hope in the future is unfounded

Not sure what to flair this. I know its strange that I posted here two days in a row

Since I'm going to therapy soon, a friend of mine (I'll call them A) has agreed to tell another friend who's distanced himself from me (as in, blocked me everywhere, I'll call him B) that I would like to talk after my first or second therapy session. B has already been told I'm going to get help at some point and seemed happy that I was.

I have done some very not good things to this friend due to my various mental health problems. I'm not comfortable specifying what exactly, but they were really, really bad and it hurt him and I feel horrible for doing it and it's the whole reason I'm going to therapy at all.

I'm trying to be optimistic about it, but A doubts B will want to talk (at least not at the moment, but their wording wasn't too clear) despite the fact they will tell him after my first session. I don't blame them. I'm starting to feel helpless and like my attempts at optimism about the situation are unfounded or delusional. Like a deer in the headlights hoping the giant truck speeding towards it will slow down and stop.

I'm doing this because I want my friends to be happy seeing me again, so it would be a huge letdown if he really won't want to talk. I don't want him gone from my life forever over something I'm trying to fix and I don't know what to do as I'm sinking into this pit of despair. Please help sorry if this post seems scatterbrained

Gonna have my first therapy session soon

I have never been able to see a therapist in my life before now, and whatever mental illness I have has been getting worse and worse because of it. My friends had to distance themselves from me because of it, and I'm not sure about how that part's gonna change because of all of this.

It should change in some way soon, but I'm a little nervous about how it's gonna go. Most of my family has never taken my mental health seriously, and it was only through a chance meeting with my dad that this is being set up at all. Does anyone here have any tips on what to do, or can tell me what to expect or anything?

Good news this time

Hello! You may have seen me in this sub a few times, seeing drawings of my woes and such. Thankfully, that should change soon!

My dad said he'd be willing to finally help me see a therapist for my mental health issues. I haven't gone through the first session yet and we're still planning things out, but I thought it'd be fun to draw stuff like the image above after each session :) simply because I thought it'd be sweet for those familiar with my posts to finally see my little guy happy for once haha

I'm a little nervous about how it's going to go, so wishes for good luck and tips on what to do in the first session n stuff like that are appreciated but obviously not required ^_^ heres to hoping I finally get better! See yall soon!!
