Water change stress?!?

Hes recessed really far I nto his shell and not moving. Stress from a water change? I didn't realize my njtrates where so high so I did a 20% a few days ago and 50% yesterday. My nitrates where down to 5ppm and ammonia and nitrite where both at 0ppm last time i checked. He doesn't smell at all so hes not dead. And even when the nitrates where super high (40-80ppm) he wasnt acting like this. Shock from the change right? He's also floating

Light issue im assuiming?

One vine is so much longer so its drooping below the windowsill. On that vine alot of the leaves are yellow. Other than that its the healthiest vine! I assume the yellow js from lower light? I've ordered a hanging planter to hopefully get it into the sun

Found out why she was so cheap!

2$ pothos. At first I though she was a golden or a jade and I was wondering why she was the only green one while the rest being sold where marble queen. I think shes just a reverted queen!

Safe to get shrimp after a giant nitrate spike and water change?

I have this planted 5 gallon tank with a ramshorn and 100 bladder snails. I was hoping to get some sunkist neos this week and double checked the paremetres. 80ppm of njtrate, 0 ammonia and nitrite. I did a 10ish% yesterday, added a rooted pothos, and did an almost 50% water change today. Turns out not doing any maintenance on the tank for 3 months came back to bite me... nitrates are now at 5ish ppm. The nitrate spike was caused by me doing 3 small water changes in 3 months rather then weekly and only doing top offs. Is it safe to get the shrimp now that im at 5 ppm?

Will this work?

I got a cheap pothos that was 2 vines, a marble queen and a golden or jade. The marble queen was tiny so I put it with my main marble queen. So this vine was left all alone, it should root from here right and grow more vines? I just curled it in the pot and held it down with binder clips

Is this a pothos?

I was at a plant show and someone was selling 2$ plants. They said they where all pothos but they had what I believe was an English ivy Aswell so im not sure if they truly new. I know the baby marble queen is, but is the main green one a pothos ir a philodendron or another similar plant?

My tank is full of bubbles. How long will this last?

I did not rinse my sand nor thr potting soil I used so they are both full of air and leaking it into the water. How long will this last?

What are the chances of my single ramshorn laying eggs?

I bought a single ramshorn. But he also came from a tank with many others, I heard they can store sperm for awhile. What is the likelihood of him laying eggs eventually? Id love some more of his type to move to my betta tank since he's too big to eat lol

u/SweetTart7231 — 18 days ago

Got my first ramshorn! He's so cool!!

Should I be feeding him?? He's so big! He's in a 5g with a bunch of bladder snails, they've been living solely on algae and biofilm but this guy may need more

u/SweetTart7231 — 19 days ago

WTH‽‽ I HAD NO IDEA BLADDER SNAILS ATE OFF OF THE SURFACE!

I assume they're eating biofilm or something. I knew some snails did this, but not bladders!

Raccoon skull (found thanks to a tremendous vulture), have i removed enough to reasonably defense through maceration?

Idk how to spell it. But I found a racoon body that kw to a turkey vulture. I separated the skull from the body and left the body in a field so nature can have it. Should I leave the skull and jaw in water for awhile to remove the last bits of flesh? There's some front lip on the bottom jaw and the nose is still on the skull.

Look what a vulture helped me find!

I dont see turkey vultures too often, Damnit they're intimidating birds. But he helped me find this, not sure what it is yet. Based on fur colour im thinking small raccoon (hopefully) or cat (please no). Imma seperate the skull and move the rest into a back field where nature and wildlife can have it
