Does someone's mental health stop mattering if they're a bad person?

Like victims and people going through tought times, trauma responses, are cared for and sympathized. But what about the folks causing these issues? Does their mental health matter too or no?

What happens if someone bad gets really depressed and worse?

For guys, how often after joining do you get / except likes back?

Joined a few days ago and liked a few women, but was curious when the earliest they'd respond is.

I saw that every week your profile gets boosted so I guess I'll get boosted via that

Considering reaching out to middle school classmate that was nice to me to catch up since we both live in the same city. But there's some issues.

So I didn't have the smoothest history in middle school. I was kinda bullied, but also kinda deserved some calling outs. *I do not remember any specific situations but just the emotions* Basically I somehow was both a troublemaker and top academic student.

Now... I went to high school with some of these people and things got a little better. Kept my mouth a bit more shut towards the 2nd half of high school (1st half I still only made a few friends).

Come college, I go completely solo since no one came to my city or university. I remember running into the cousin of a middle school classmate (NOT the one this post is ab), and when said cousin texted her ab me, she said 'ew' or smth. Her loss lol, but I hope she's doing well nowadays.

For this post, I wanna draw attention to someone who treated me nicely despite it all. She IS still friends with people from middle school and idk if those friends got over me or not. I do have a good amount of friends here in my city, but a part of me is considering trying to tell her like "Hey, It's ___! Hope you've been well I know it's been a while. I noticed we both live here, and if you'd be willing to, would u wanna catch up?" like mad simple

Should I try it? Should I just forget it?

TLDR: I had a messy middle school (somewhat of a troublemaker, but mostly isolated with some non-physical bullying (making fun of me sense)). Things got better in high school, especially later when I kept quieter. College was completely solo. One old classmate’s cousin reacted with “ew” when she heard about me so that's fun. There’s another girl tho who was actually nice to me back then. We both live in the same city now. I’m thinking of sending a simple “hey, it’s been a while, want to catch up?” message. She’s taken (lesbian if that somehow helps) so I’d keep it clearly platonic. Gut says low risk so if she says yes cool, if no it’s fine. Worst case it becomes gossip and I screwed myself over. Should I try it or just leave it alone?

Why is empathy selective when it comes to interacting with bad people?

Do some people not deserve or not get to be empathized with by the general public?

If you show empathy to someone whos bad, are you naive or are you a good person?

I have a crush on a leasing professional staff member at new apartment complex I recently moved into

So.. as the title says. She showed us an apartment my family and I really liked and I moved in recently. She did catch my eye and unless she's much older and wouldn't date too much younger, I find her attractive. I don't mind at least becoming more friendly/friends, but there's a small part of me that wants to try to talk to her more, but I weighed out a few things:

  1. I don't know if it would be aganist her policy to date someone who leased an apartment with the company/building

  2. Out of respect, I ofc didn't ask for her age. Idk how old she is

  3. If it's not against policy, and I try it, and we date, cool. But if we break up I fear there could be some degree of inevitable awkwardness between us whenever we need to interact purely for leasing/apartment help purposes

What do y'all think? And in the small chance anyone reading this has been in a similar situation, please share!

Women, what would you do if you could tell a guy liked you but was too nervous to make a move?

Do some Christian women like to pursue and have pursued/made the first move before? What would you do if you figured out a guy liked you but was too nervous to confess to you or he did confess but didn't show.. let's say, leadership qualities (cuz let's be honest, y'all like men to be leaders)

Yea. thoughts?

Christians, have you ever fell out of love or began to hate a partner? Why?

And do you think that Christian love should be unconditional? Like if you can't romantically love them anymore, at least love them as Christ loved everyone, wish them well, pray for them, etc

Why do people only care about you if you're a good person?

I've come to the conflusion that people only care about you if you're a good person. If you become worse or bad, people drop you like a fly, wish bad things for you, don't care for your wellbeing, and couldn't care less what happens to you. All because you turned bad.

Does one deserve that?

New here and I wanted to see how you guys approach caring about people in your life.

Who's a deep cut character we haven't seen in AGES that you wanna see again?

I'm lowkey talking ball knowledge

Not necessarily, e.g., Smoker post-Punk Hazard and where he went and where he was going to when we very briefly saw him during Egghead with that giant box.

I'm thinking deeper cuts like, say, Hogback. We know Absalom's gone RIP but where did he go??? Kuro? did bro manage to hide all the way since Syrup Village?

What bout y'all?

"Be kind to unkind people because they need it the most" does holding them accountable still count as being kind to unkind people?

Like what defines unkindness? Being rude? Mocking them on something that isn't really worth mocking?

I don't think self-defense in hostility counts as unkindness. Maybe its a form of kindness to yourself cuz you're...well, standing up for yourself. And to them cuz you don't wanna let them dig their own grave and do what they're doing to you.

What do we think?

Been talking to this girl online from a different country. Don't know where to go with it.

We all met in a server, with verification about us, so there's no catfishing here. Her and I click on a good amount of things, and we basically admitted we like each other and are physically attracted. But I don't really see it going anywhere if she doesn't come to my country (Me going to hers is kinda risky as she lives in the middle east, and I personally don't wanna be THAT far from my IRL friends and family. I've also been chatting with a few other girls in the server, and I have not commited to anyone yet.

I'm on the server cuz post-school I don't really have an IRL social life and while I chat with IRL friends via text or group chats and we game together, it's a nice way for me to meet other people.

Now, for this girl, should I stop talking to her as an option? completely stop talking to her? could we stay friends even if I shut down a romantic option? In general, I'm looking to date for serious intentions and it's much more likely I either click with someone in the server closer to me insofar that either of us move states or I finally meet someone IRL, in which case I would of course stop pursuing people in the server.

Personally, I was thinking I should reject her as an option and suggest we just stay friends but what do y'all think?

It's just as human to do and feel evil as it is to do and feel good things

When people say someone's "devoid of humanity" or "are they even human" they typically refer to actions or feelings done that are very very negative. However, isn't that also the other half of the essence of what it means to be human? Humans have souls that can be capable of good, but not everything we do is good.

What's a fighter archetype we haven't seen yet that you'd like to see?

I am watching videos of people making mods and just thinking about the official roster we have. Some archetypes are very unique to 1 or a few characters.

Rosalina & Luma take off the "puppet" character.

We have traditional fighters with the auto-turning gimmick

But what else could you do?

AIAA members, any help with registering for the Aviation Forum as a non-student?

Gonna give this a shot cuz IDK how many people here are AIAA members; especially how many here are planning to go to the Aviation Forum in 2026, but I'm not a student anymore. I completed my master's earlier this year, but still. I updated my profile as well to show I graduated but these are all the packages I see.

What do y'all think I should do? call customer service or could I still go as a student?

Folks, am I overthinking this situation with a girl I met abroad?

Me and a buddy of mine from the US are on a Europe trip right now. Earlier today, we were watching a live attraction and I happened to end up standing next to this really pretty girl who was traveling solo. She asked me to record the event for her, and from there we started talking a bit. I made a joke or two, my friend joined in, and since the event was moving kinda slow we ended up casually getting to know her more. From what she told us so far, I think she has an interesting background too. A bit foggy on where she's from tbh, but I'm pretty sure she lives in Europe though, not North America.

My friend picked up that I was into her and started wingmanning a little with stuff like “yea he’s smart af” and whatnot 😭. I didn’t really lean into it too much though.

Tomorrow we’re all going to the same area (dif spot from today), and even though I was hesitant at first, I ended up asking if she wanted to meet up and explore together. No hard yes on it, but I think we'd let each other know is what we agreed on. We exchanged socials, so at least that happened. But now I’m not sure if I actually wanna do the meetup.

Part of it is I don’t want my friend feeling like part of tomorrow is just him third wheeling or wingmanning for me, even if he did say he’d be down, and even if him and the girl get to know each other too. The girl seems genuinely nice, but maybe she’s just someone I met while traveling and just so happened to like on the spot. Maybe we just talk more online after I get back home.

The bigger thing is this: I’ve never had a girlfriend before, and if I ever do get into a relationship, I think I’d really want something where we can actually be around each other in person. Maybe some long distance could work for a bit, but I’d wanna actually see them, spend time together, comfort them in person, all that.

So yeah, I don’t really know what to do here. Any advice?

TLDR: Met a pretty solo traveler while on a Europe trip and we hit it off enough to exchange socials and maybe meet up tomorrow. I’m interested in her, but IIRC she lives in Europe and I’ve always wanted a relationship that’s more in person than long distance. Also don’t wanna make my friend feel like he has to wingman me all day. Not sure if I should have my friend and I go through with the meetup or just leave it as a cool, quirky travel memory.

If you decide to get food/coffee etc with someone without saying it's a date, but then you don't really talk to them afterwards (you had a crush but didn't wanna start dating them right away), is that ghosting?

One time I had a small crush on one girl from a shared class. We were friendly but nothing crazy; just did assignments together then we went our separate ways once that class ended. A year later I ran into her by coincidence, and I suggest we meet for dinner as a catchup ("hows the last year been for ya" type stuff). Dinner goes well, but after that I realized romantically I didn't have a feeling we could work. So I kinda stopped talking to her

Thinking about it now, perhaps I could've at least stayed friends with her. But just to ensure I don't make a potentially similar mistake, if it was one, was what I did ghosting or no? Cuz I never said that was a date and when I asked her I had the intention of being friendly.

I'm posting this here because as daters, you guys might have some potentially good inputs. Thanks.
