Thematically speaking, he's got similarities to all of these characters. Hellsing Alucard, DmC Dante, Alex Mercer all are characters who got more than they bargained for from the powers they were given.

I've been really into the eldritch, quasi-brutalist aesthetics of these little freaks as well as the game Control, and I was wondering if Marvel or any other comics have characters that have this same aesthetic.

He was in the villains concept art. So they know he exists. Just wanting for my favorite Hulk villain to be added

I really hope this Halloween we get a Mindless One skin for The Thing. They're such fun minor characters in Marvel, it would be a shame if this was the only reference to them.

I doubt Rivals would get this dark with the lady skins, but imagine her wing is replaced by a small angel that's just carrying her around and her weapons are more ritualistic, or made of wax.

Angela has so much room for weird/creepy skins, I just hope they tap into that later down the line

"Summoner" or "High Summoner" is a title granted to mutants who learned to call forth eldritch beings from a dark Otherworld and used them to defend Arrako and their fellow mutants.

Earning the title of Summoner replaces their given name, they become these sort of religious icons of Arrako much like real life Anchorites, and just like Anchorites a lot of their individuality is stripped away for complete loyalty to Arrako and this ancient religion dedicated to calling upon daemons from outer spheres.

The Summoner we see in X-Men Vol. #5 Book 12 still has some unique traits to himself, his mutant ability is complete invulnerability all over his body except his eyes, and his personality is amicable and almost playful. He's very eager to interact with other mutants, but he also keeps to himself and sits in the forest a lot of the time just existing with the wild animals and communing with the daemons that are always at the edge of our realm.

Later on, it's revealed he's actually a scout/spy who's goal is to rejoin Arrako and Krakoa by means of conquest and teleporting one island to the other, and then further waging war upon any remaining enemies of mutant kind and anyone who refuses the faith of the magic users of Arrako.

He's around 300 years old, and originally only spoke the ancient Arrako language which is said to sound like "singing." He's tied to the Tarot card of Strength and is deeply fond of the ancient traditions of Arrako.

He kinda reminds me of Prince Nuada from the second Hellboy movie by Guillermo Del Toro, I really enjoyed learning about this guy!

I just found this guy, thought he was a horrible little gremlin that would be an absurd Rocket-sized DPS, turns out he's like 6'8. I kinda want him in the game now

Minotaur - Marvel

Scp-2662 aka Teenage Cthulhu - SCP

it’s called Teenage Cthulhu. The premise is that there’s a young Lovecraftian being who accidentally drives people into fanatical worship and inspires them to commit terrible acts in its name, even though it’s really just a laid-back kid trying to live a normal life.

​

It voluntarily stays at an SCP facility because they basically give it an apartment, access to video games, and a comfortable place to live, while also keeping cultists from breaking in and attempting human sacrifices.

​

One of the funniest details is that it explicitly says it doesn’t want a cult because it’s “underage,” which raises some pretty amusing implications.

Cordyceps Jones - Marvel

Even tho he's a liveing fungus, he is just a mob boss who can control body across the galaxy, and runs a giant space gambling ring.

After beating Iron Fist and taking the sword of Fu Xi from out of his arm, Daredevil uses the sword to break a mystical seal that unleashes Chiyou.

He does this because he is led to believe that Chiyou will end the conflict between all gods and monsters within the Collapsing Timeline. Obviously this is some kind of trick, but I'm interested in seeing just how powerful Chiyou is in Rivals.

Apocalypse has been trying to overthrow all deities in the Collapsing Timeline, I think if Chiyou were unleashed then Apocalypse might be overwhelmed by both The Hood and Chiyou, and ultimately defeated. A lot more of the mystical monsters of Marvel will scramble to fill the power vacuum.

He's got an awesome design in the comics, I really wanna see him in game eventually!

Real ones know I started a drawing with a very similar concept like 6 months ago and then abandoned it lol but Harpy is so fluffy I wanted to try again…
