Had surgery several months back. Received bills both from the hospital (which listed everything) and an out of state medical group (which only listed anesthesia). Anesthesia was listed on hospital bill too, but the amounts are vastly different?
You can see the anesthesia highlighted on the bill from the hospital. Then there's the "extra bill" from the out of state medical group.
As you may notice I eventually got the hospital bill covered because my income level qualified for assistance. And I realize the extra bill is only $131, but I'd rather not pay it if I don't have to.
So the question is:
Why are the amounts so different for anesthesia? Was the hospital's anesthesia listed different from the one on the extra bill?
If the hospital says it's all covered, do I still owe this extra bill to the out of state medical group?
