The UPS staff told us to call amazon and ask for an Amazon return label which I’m going to do soon, but I assumed they won’t do that for 3rd party sellers. Am I missing something?

It is a heavy package (furniture) over $100 so is it because of that? If so, then where can I ship it? The seller said I can go to any post office.

And yes now I’ve learned my lesson with buying from third-party sellers so I’m not looking for a lecture, I just want a solution. I wasn’t aware it would be this much of a hassle, it’s my first time. Any help is appreciated :(

So I go to QC and I already took 3 of the equivalent prereqs here (I used the cuny transfer explorer): eng, math, and intro to bio. I just have the anatomy and radiology one left, which radiology obviously qc doesn’t have so I’ll take thaf after I transfer in. My question is should I take the anatomy course in qc or save it for city tech? If I take it in qc will it, and the other prereqs I already took, transfer? Or would I have to retake them at city tech?

I have been considering rad tech because working with x-rays and learning anatomy and all that stuff sounds incredibly cool to me. I’m not a very squeamish person either and don’t mind having to see injuries and whatnot. Bodily fluids (mainly pee and poop lol) would gross me out but I think I can get used to it.. probably.

Is there anything else you wish somebody would have warned you about? I would have to transfer schools for this program so I don’t want to make a decision I regret.

Probably a stupid question but today just made me worry a bit.

I’ve had open availability for the entirety of this year bc I took a short break from college but I’m going back in the fall, and unfortunately my classes are spaced out in a way that makes me unable fit in a shift during a school day. So that means I have classes mon-thurs and i can only work fri/sat/sun.

My managers were obviously not happy and I did tell them I will see if I can try to switch out some classes and free up more time to work but I doubt I’ll actually be able to do that. But their reaction to hearing this just made me worry, is this something they can actually fire me for? I imagine they could find someone with more availability to replace me if they wanted to..

Honestly I prefer front loaders for 2 reasons: 1) I am short, and 2) I’d be able to put things on top of it, giving me more storage space. There is just one problem, which is that I am really afraid of getting mold. Our old Samsung machine (belonged to previous owners of the house) had mold and it was disgusting. I know that we are supposed to leave the door open, but I’m afraid that won’t be enough because our laundry room is very very small. The washer & dryer take up half of it, so the only walking space is right in front of them to take clothes in and out. There is a window but in this hot weather, I’m not sure if that’ll be enough ventilation.

Is a front loader worth the risk in this case or should I just get a top loader? I know the front loaders are highly rated, but are LG top loaders any good?

I would get a Speed Queen but I don’t like that it has such a low capacity.. I’d want 5.3 cu. ft. at the very least (5.5 is best). I like to do large loads. Besides it’s also very expensive. I am open to recs for other brands as well.

At my parents’ house and learned they almost never cleaned their washing machine. So I dropped an Affresh tablet in there and did a clean cycle. As expected, a bunch of scrud was left at the bottom of the drum. I wiped it off and repeated this about 5 times, but the scrud kept coming back after each cycle. I switched to citric acid, and used that for 3 more cycles and I think it’s working a little better, but it’s still not gone. Is there anything else I should be trying?

In case it matters, they have a top-load Samsung “activewash superspeed aquajet” washer. No filter as far as I can see. I did advise them to ditch the liquid softener from now on, but this is like 3 years’ worth of buildup I’m dealing with 🤢

I feel like I always see people who only like to draw fanart, but I have the opposite issue… There are a lot of characters I love and I would love to draw them but whenever I try, it feels like I struggle to capture their likeness. I end up trying too hard to make my art look like the character that I end up sacrificing my own art style… and I feel discouraged because I usually end up not liking my artistic portrayal of the character. When drawing my own OCs, at least I don’t have a specific standard I’m trying to match up to.

(I’m 17F) He knew I was there, he knew I was naked, but also he didn’t touch me sexually, so it’s probably just physical assault right? It’s normal in my household, he hits me a lot, so I’m not here to talk about that. I’m just wondering if this would count as some form of sexual abuse, idk. I just have been feeling so violated and gross about it, i mean I know he’s family but I don’t even let my mom see my naked body. But also I don’t want to call it sexual assault if it’s not that because I don’t want to take away space from actual victims. I just don’t know what to do with my feelings because I feel so disgusting and ashamed to even be around him now even though he didn’t actually do anything to me. It just feels very confusing because I feel so violated despite it not being real sexual assault. I wish I could just get over it..

There is another thing, there were times back then where he would masturbate while I was in the room, and he wouldn’t even hide it or anything. I was a little kid. But I don’t know if this counts as sexual abuse because he didn’t directly touch me. We have a 10 year age gap so he was in his teens. I keep hearing mixed opinions

For me, I think it depends on how self-inserty the protagonist is. If they feel like their own character with their own personality, I prefer picking female because I think they’re prettier usually. But if they’re totally a blank slate that is meant to be you, I pick male. I’m curious about everyone else.

Possibly a stupid question but can we request a day off for vacation if we don’t have vacation hours? (I’m a part timer) I’m assuming it’ll just be unpaid which is fine. My family wants to go on a trip in a couple weeks so is that a good enough reason or do they only accept for extreme cases?

I didn’t receive my schedule for that week yet so I just want to request that I don’t get scheduled on the day of the trip. I tried making the request on WorkJam but it says “the date is outside the request period” Does that mean it’s too late to make the request? Even though my schedule for that week hasn’t been made yet?
