HBO and Showtime in the 90s

I have been wondering how did HBO and Showtime were contemporaries at the time and then HBO just shot right past Showtime by the mid or late 90s. Was it just investment in the right programming, were they lucky to land the Sopranos and Sex and the city and/or their original movies as well? Or something else that I didn't mention?

[TOMT] [MOVIE] [2000s] This was a direct to dvd movie that I saw at Hollywood Video. It was a horror movie from the mid 2000s and had the cover of a girl with black liquid not blood coming from her eyes down her face.

This movie might be about a cult according to the back cover and it got a sequel. But I can't remember the name.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

For those of you who watched the movie, what do you think could have helped the box office? A better marketing strategy, A different release window?

In books, movies, tv shows, and video games when a portal is created

for example like the one doctor strange in the mcu creates, does any author explain what's on the opposite side of it? I mean obviously they can't walk through it, I'd assume and do they describe what it looks like on the opposite side? Like the example with doctor strange portals do they just look all sparkly on the opposite side?

1980s 1990s post apocalyptic movies that has established psychics/telekinetics

I'm looking for a list of movies from the 1980s and 1990s that involve a post apocalyptic world that either has or introduces psychics/telekinetics in the beginning of the movie or later in the film. I'd prefer not to have anime or animated movies. Preferably live action. I know that I would probably get B movie recommendations, but that's fine.

[unreleased media] The Watcher (1995 TV series)

I was wondering if anybody remember this show from UPN network when it first started, it was their own anthology tv series that had a mix of good and bad endings. It was hosted by the rapper sir mix-a-lot. The premise is that he has cameras that see everything happening in Las Vegas. It only lasted one season and nobody seems to have taped the whole season or even remember it. And ever since the merger and the end of upn network, I don't think we're likely to get a physical release. Does anyone else remember this show or have a copy or recordings of it?

Which superpower would you choose?

Let me start off by saying that a little while back I had a thought; which would be better shapeshifting or invisibility. But I went further with it and tried to make the choice between the two more appealing and "comparable".

Which superpower would you choose?

Shapeshifting: This includes changing to any person, animal, or inanimate object. For example, you could change to a different person in different clothes and to an elephant and then to a working car or office stapler and then back to yourself. No liquids or gaseous forms.

Spirit/Ghost physiology: invisibility, intangibility, flight, levitation, body possession, "moderate" telekinesis. You can be invisible and still tangible or vice versa. you can make objects/people you touch become invisible and intangible as well. No teleportation or telepathy.

Hopefully I evened it out enough between them, so which one would you choose?

Gulliver's Travels (1996), The Odyssey (1997), Merlin (1998), Arabian Nights (2000)

I know that back in the 70s and 80s the Network TV Movie or Miniseries/Limited Series was a big deal, but the 90s gave these great fantasy miniseries that were so Epic and Great. What happened?
