Two simple things I found that improved the laptop's performance: enabling maximum performance in the power tab of the Windows control panel and lowering the CPU and GPU temperature by manually controlling the Predator Sense fans.

Earlier today I made a post reporting that yesterday I had the misfortune of having my laptop forced to shut down. By all accounts it was a forced shutdown because of overheating, since I was gaming at the exact moment the laptop turned off, and I even thought it had died, but it came back to life early today.
To give some context, my laptop is an Acer Predator Helios Neo PHN16-71 with an RTX 4060, bought a year and a half ago. This Acer line has 4 modes: Quiet, Balanced, Performance, and Turbo. Ever since I bought the laptop I only use it in Balanced mode, because I verified that the performance gain from this mode to the two better ones is small, and in exchange it makes zero noise and doesn't vibrate. Since I game directly on the laptop keyboard and don't like noise, this mode definitely became my favorite, so much so that I use it for personal use and for gaming. But today, after yesterday's trauma, I discovered a problem: this mode is the one that consumes the most temperature and I don't know why!
I did my tests using Predator Sense in a competitive game I usually play that demands a lot from both the CPU and the GPU. The results were these:
I noticed that the fan in turbo mode made a difference for temperature reduction on the CPU, even while activating the full capacity of the GPU and CPU. Therefore, I decided to test and activate maximum fan speed in Balanced mode, since the default fan is on automatic mode. It ended up at 77ºC on the GPU and 72ºC on the CPU. Fantastic numbers, a cool laptop, but a hellish and unhealthy noise. And I noticed that the FPS varied more (downwards).
For anyone who has already had this laptop, has a similar laptop, or has similar modes: which mode do you use? Is there a satisfactory adjustment that balances lower temperature and considerable performance to avoid future overheating problems? Modes I won't be able to use: Quiet and Turbo. The first one is excellent, silent, but the FPS rate gets low. The last one is powerful, but the fan is an airplane and the performance gain compared to the Balanced mode is very small.

Como se não bastassem os quase 3 mil metros de altitude, o time do Independiente del Valle é muito bem treinado. O retrospecto dos últimos jogos deles é ótimo, com 17 vitórias, 2 derrotas e 1 empate. Obviamente que pegar o recorte só dos jogos em casa não faria muito sentido na liga doméstica, já que a maioria dos clubes do Equador estão jogando na altitude, mas é de se elogiar que um time dessa qualidade possa manter uma boa estabilidade.
Nos três jogos que o Flamengo teve contra eles, 0 vitórias, portanto uma vitória hoje seria uma perfeição, mas um empate seria ótimo e uma derrota de 1 a 0 não seria o fim do mundo. Não sei se os colegas concordam, mas no contexto atual o grau de dificuldade é bem maior do que enfrentar o Estudiantes (que não é o mesmo do ano passado) ou o Corinthians.
Podem criticar, mas pra mim foi um reforço, quase uma contratação. Espero que realmente ele fique no clube e jogue com motivação.

How is the fluidity of W11 doing nowadays? Is it really very optimized compared to SteamOS? Are the FPS gains in games already equivalent?

I want to buy a handheld by Black Friday and I really liked the Legion Go S, but the price has kept me away from it so far. On the other hand, I saw that the Xbox Ally with the Z2A is 'dirt cheap' for my budget. I thought: why not compare them? I just did, and I feel like I'm going to have a stroke, because in one video it shows both of them having very similar performance in GOW (both at 20W and 1080p on low). Yet in another video, the Legion Go S is getting 15-20 fps more, but running at 30W.
My question is: does the difference between the two come down to the Legion's ability to run at a higher wattage? Does that mean if both were locked at 20W their performance would be very similar? And are the Legion Go's 30W available when running on battery, without plugging it in? Does the battery die really fast at 30W?

Prejudicou o Flamengo no jogo contra o Athletico neste ano, foi um leão para ter expulsado o Carrascal na Supercopa (o mesmo Carrascal que sofreu uma falta clara neste momento e o outro jogador do Mirassol não foi expulso), prejudicou diversas vezes o Flamengo em 2024 e também em 2023.
