Dave Bautista in talks to play Kratos in live action series

Dave Bautista could be the next “God of War.” Variety has learned from sources that Bautista is currently in talks for the role of Kratos in the Amazon Prime Video series based on the popular video game franchise.

The news comes after it was reported that Ryan Hurst, who was originally cast in the role of the titular god in January 2026, suffered a torn bicep on the set of the series that would have delayed a return to production until 2027, ultimately leading Amazon and Sony to recast the part. The plan is to get the production back up and running by the fall.

Does it bother you when people aren't as blown away by your setup as you are?

I've had this weird thing happen the last few weeks where two of my close friends came to visit a few days apart. I let them hear my new Wharfedale speakers and turntable/amp setup that I think sounds incredible. One guy was playing with his phone the whole time and was like, "yeah it's pretty good". The other commented on how detailed it was, but was like, "well anyway man you wanna grab some food?"

I get it not everyone is into audio as much as some of us here but do you ever feel bad or let down when others just kinda shrug off your great audio gear?

What's a side activity you never do in any game?

For it's gambling, or most card games/casinos. I do enjoy some card games that are unique to the world itself, such as Queens Gambit or Gwent. But I normally always skip the gambling dens or card rooms in every game they pop up in, I've just always thought they are a waste of time and never need money that badly.

Does anyone really enjoy cards/gambling as a side activity? Just curious!

How long do you keep headphones even if you don't use them?

Long story short I have a fairly large collection of mid and higher-end headphones (Focal, ZMF, Hifiman, Senn) which I used to rotate and listen to daily. I've gotten more into speakers and almost all of my daily listening is through speakers now. The headphones aren't being used but I've enjoyed my collection through the years.

Money isn't a factor, but I kind of feel weird having so many great headphones displayed and not used. I'm worried if I sell them I'll regret it and want to go back to headphones one day. What would y'all do?

What are some of the most iconic opening titles in film?

Pulp Fiction freeze frame with the song "Misirlou" perfectly sets the tone of any movie in my memory. The dirtbag surfer rock mixed with desperate violence from two lovers got me hooked instantly.
