Unveiled at the 26th Tokyo Motor Show in 1985, the Nissan ComCom concept showcased technologies that, more than 40 years later, would become commonplace in cars.
It was equipped with one of the earliest satellite navigation systems featuring GPS mapping, an onboard computer for planning delivery routes, and a built-in telephone.
The concept was designed for inner-city transportation and operation in areas with limited parking space.
To facilitate access on narrow streets, the car was equipped with a sliding door on the front left side.

Came over this gem yesterday in Copenhagen. The popular, original Danish nickname for this vehicle is most commonly known as the Ellert , its a lightweight, three-wheeled electric microcar originally developed in Denmark during the 1980s.
It was manufactured in Denmark by the company El Trans A/S
The name became CityEL after the production rights were sold to a German company (Citycom) in the early 1990s. This became its official international brand name until production ceased in 2018.

A 1985 concept for Buick, using a name that had been used for three other concept cars in the 1950s, but with a far more futuristic approach.
The 1985 Wildcat had a canopy roof that lifted up and forward instead of doors, four-wheel drive, and a fully exposed dual overhead-cam V6 in the mid-engine position.
The engine was restricted to 230 horsepower to be compliant with federal emissions laws, but was capable of 360 hp. Even in its 230 hp configuration, it was a full second faster from 0-60 than a Lamborghini Countach, and its top speed of 180 mph was only 2 mph slower than the Countach.
It's still functional and on display at the GM Heritage Center.
