How do the annual rewards work?

I joined on September 1st and my rewards says £9 odd so far (I changed membership to executive half way through the month)

By annual is this calendar year ending (December 31st) or membership year ending (August 31st)?

I’m thinking I can use this reward toward my next membership fee?

Do the rewards carry over to the next year?

I honestly have zero idea how this works tbf - help

We visited today and I thought I’d try the famous rotisserie chicken, I asked my partner to get 2 and then as we both approached the stand I quickly changed that to “no, one is plenty” as they’re MASSIVE!

Got home, stripped it off, cats had some, then chopped up the rest to vac bag up into portions for my salads.

Let me tell you I got 14!!! portions from one chicken! and that was just breast, leg and thighs, I cba to go over the carcass thoroughly or strip the wings. Also bear in mind that I had 2 chunky cats wanting their share before I was allowed to continue sorting this for myself.

Supermarket RCs usually fill one big bowl when I’m stripping off the meat , fact this filled 2 big bowls is insane! The 14 portioned vac bags (now in the freezer) aren’t by any means small portions either

How did it take me so long to discover this store?!

Just because, I added up the savings we’d made on each product, working it out if it was a bigger version and going against the cheapest version if unbranded / Kirkland and always rounding down if the weights differed, so essentially the savings would be higher if I could be bothered to work it out exactly.

Well, first trip we saved £72.61 on a 19 item shop, but the second trip where I’d made a list first we saved £143.10 on a 20 item shop

That is insane and more than justifies the membership fee imo 😳

We only get what we usually get anyway in the supermarket, (never fresh fruit or veggies) but obviously larger quantities of the same thing we’d ordinarily use.

For instance butter - we usually get store own brand, but to be fair to the savings made we compared like for like anchor butter.

We bought (first shop) 2 x 500g anchor butter, which is the equivalent of 5 standard 200g of the same thing = a saving of £5.42 on that alone.

We used to buy 2-3 200g blocks of butter a week in the supermarket for the whole household for sandwiches / cooking / crumpets / etc, so though this figure may be higher than a different household it’s usual for ours

I’m definitely going to like shopping here, though I’m probably only going to use them once a month.

Really a bit of a word of caution for you all.

The digital card the warehouse staff are bigging up and pushing has a flaw…

I’ve only had my card since the 1st but I got it, I did my first shop, came home and then started the process for the digital version of the same card on my phone on the app…

Went through the whole process and then it got to ‘pending contact warehouse’, so me thinking it’s just a security thing ignored it until the next warehouse visit…

We visited the warehouse yesterday and I thought I’d update the digital card on the way out with customer services…

WRONG! The digital card did some glitch and seemed to have cancelled my physical plastic card as I embarrassingly got turned around at the gate in front of goodness knows how many people.

I had to get a new card from customer services who advised me the digital card should activate in a few hours.

Wrong again, so I once again went through the process of getting the digital version of my card, and guess what? ‘Pending contact warehouse’ is back

Why are they promoting a service which appears to be buggy as hell?

We tried the famous combo deal yesterday on the way out, and I really liked it, the sausage reminded me of the really flavourful hotdogs we enjoyed when we visited America on holiday a few years ago.

I really don’t like the UK hotdogs, be they jarred, tinned or fresh ones from the chiller, they’re just completely devoid of any flavour or texture regardless of the brand purchased.

So my question is, it’s my understanding from google that they use Kirkland sausages for their own food court hotdogs, but do they also sell these same hotdog sausages in the chiller in the warehouse?

It’s also my understanding that these hotdogs are beef instead of pork, so I’m unsure if that’s why they are so different to the UK versions

I’m getting a new tat soon and I’m thinking of going for a smaller RHS tat, as this would actually mean something to me rather than just a small random piece that I was considering previously.

Disclaimer, I was only getting another as my daughter is getting her first, and I was going along for her support. Now I’ve thought about it, I’m considering something better

I know already that I’m personally very allergic to lanolin - I break into hives, bleed and have to avoid all its dervs until that layer of skin has grown out so I’m affected for literally months!

However, my daughter wants to get a tattoo, and a lot of the healing creams contain lanolin: some pure (bepanthen) some just a small % (e45)

How likely is my daughter to having the same allergy, and how do I test her for it?

I found out the hard way and a nurse swore me off using it after seeing what it was doing and I was in crying pain, since then if I come into contact with it the flare ups are nowhere near as severe, but still pretty bad (as mentioned above) if that makes sense?

Is buying the 1% e45 applying a small amount to undamaged skin and then watching to see if it flares literally the only way?

4 weeks ago today I had to have surgery to remove my uterus, tubes , both ovaries and cervix following a failed biopsy and all scans pointing to a ‘mass’ that shouldn’t be there.

So the consultant treated me as if it was and rushed the surgery through for me quite quickly and then they would fully biopsy the removed tissues

Well the surgeon phoned me directly as soon as the results came back and they were negative for cancer and negative for precancer so I’m over the moon to hear this.

It’s been a very worrisome experience since the surgery with this hanging over my head, but I’m now so relieved and happy 😊

I bought a couple of fjäderharv mini drawers (A4 size), and only used one, but opened both and threw away the outer wrapper.

The drawer unit thing itself is completely unused, but has no sticker anywhere on it (as everything was on the disposable paper wrapper), am I still able to return it? I have the receipt for it

I’m nearly 2wpo and though some has gone, a large portion still remains, I’m loathe to remove it like a scab and pick at it, but at the same time I’m curious how long it’s going to (literally) stick around for?

Whenever we visit our local Ikea, I like to visit the ‘furniture re homing shelter’ and refer to it like a pet re homing place.

I even find that I feel sorry for the pieces of furniture that have obvious bruises, scratches and on occasion actual holes as it lessens their chance of finding a new home.

I know I’m not right in the head 😬

My op was on Friday early afternoon, and though I had a poop on the Friday morning, I’ve been too scared to go since.

The hospital has prescribed and I’ve taken 2 doses so far, and I know it’s there but I’m just too scared to push it out if that makes any sense?

Am I able to use a suppository to get things started or is that a bad idea?

I’m so aware that the only thing at the moment stopping ‘escapes’ of my intestines are just a few stitches, so this is really not helping my mindset 😫

I had a full hysterectomy yesterday (uterus, cervix, tubes and ovaries), but tonight I’m experiencing what I can only describe as period pain - I mean wtaf?

This has completely thrown me, I have 5 keyhole scars, all look normal, obviously I can’t see the other scar, but I have had a little bit of spotting which I assume is normal?

The hospital has prescribed so I’ve been taking daily blood thinning injections and twice daily laxatives, though I was a bit late starting the latter as I forgot.

Is this normal?

Edit: I’m out and home, feeling really sore and tender, mostly just tired though. I feel like I’ve had a mighty kick in my chuff lol.

Getting into the bed was a challenge let’s just say, and then turning onto my side even more so, but I’m so glad that it’s now all over 😃

I can’t seem to be able to regulate my own body temperature, I’m between sweating and shivering - is that normal?

Got to admit that I’m a little afraid.

Full hysterectomy so uterus, tubes, cervix and ovaries because they are deeply suspicious of endometrial cancer following tests (series of scans following a failed biopsy).

Well after months and months of pain, the Drs have agreed to a hysterectomy (full absolutely everything) .

Bad news being that they agreed because they think I have cancer.

They tried to biopsy, but it seems they just took scar tissue which told them nothing, MRI showed a ‘large mass’ which they’re suspicious of, they said a hematometra, but together with my other symptoms think may be hiding a tumour.

Everything over the past few weeks after I experienced bleeding has been on fast forward, and I’m so aware that this is a big / major surgery, I’m starting to feel nervous.

So please anything you can suggest or advise right now would really help 🙏🏻
